Hey baby, nice rack!
- Pros: * Well constructed with lots of ventilation.
* No bundled power-supply means you get to pick the correct one for your application.
* The six 5.25" drive bays allow you to use a pair of hotswap or fixed-mount modules to install 8 hard drives.
- Cons: * No bundled rails - look for Athena Power's RM-Slider series for those.
* There's a bunch of LEDs on the front of the case that aren't directly usable since the interface board isn't bundled.
* The USB header is broken down into individual wire connections - very, very annoying to enable the front USB ports because of that.
- Other Thoughts: I'm basing my futuer storage servers on these cases because, with the mix of components I use, there's very little wasted space and everything stays cool without having to resort to noisy fans. A Supermicro H8SSL motherboard, SeaSonic power supply and a pair of Cooler Master 4-in-3 device modules (which, sadly, NewEgg doesn't sell) all fit snugly in the case. Add 8 hard drives and Supermicro's 8-port SATA card and you've got a very slick solution for not a lot of cash.
