1 out of 5 eggsfell apart within 1 year

Pros: none

Cons: the front panel USB outlets fell apart. One day I could no longer plug in my ipod usb cable. When I looked closer I could see that whole section had detached itself from the case!

Other Thoughts: cheap

3 out of 5 eggsNice and Cheap

Pros: Nice and Cheap for the small size. Fits almost anywhere.
Came with P.S. and isn't loud like others have reported.
LED is pretty.

Cons: There is a certain order to install the Hard drive and DVD drive. I did it wrong and had to redo it, wow extra 3 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Do not use for any thing that gets hot. Small and no side fan.

Manufacturer Response:

We would like to thank you for purchasing our product. We apologize for any problems you have encountered. At Athena, we do our best to serve our customer's needs and wants. We have read your feedback and we have filed it with our R&D team. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MATX Case

Pros: A great MATX computer case, it saves space and can be put anywhere.
It allowed me to put the Foxconn AMD AM2/AM3 motherboard I ordered alog with a AMC CPU and DDR2 Memory.
A Plus is that it has SATA power plugs and a front MIC, USB, & Speaker Inputs.

Cons: The Drive door is not needed. The case could have used some screw in case shims instead of shims you have to push on and break to remove.
Power supply had to be removed to allow me to install my Hard Drive.

1 out of 5 eggsPower Supply Intermittent

Pros: Nice size and appearance.

Cons: I had to drill and cut the DVD drive door like everyone else during install. Noisy cheap fans were replaced after 1 week. Now after 3 months the power supply comes and goes. Odd sized power supply and it costs as much as the case. Very thin metal, bends and buckles easily. Going to junk it and get a different case. It was cheap...I shouldn't have expected high quality.

2 out of 5 eggsOK, but...

Pros: Bottom line- it works, but expect to tinker with it more than you should have to.

Cons: Where to begin? The quality control on the one I received was pitiful! These cons are all trivial and easily fixed, but you shouldn't have to fix them:

1. power for the light up panel- it was a molex plug, but that's not the bad part; one of the cables wasn't attached to the prong! I spent too much time cutting the wire, reattaching it, and using the pliers to correctly hold in in place, that this issue alone would have warranted enough of my time to buy a more expensive case.

2. The panel arrived a bit bent, but it's not noticeable once hammered out.

3. Only the one side panel comes out easily. I had a tiny, plastic card reader I was installing and needed to screw in on both sides. Instead, I opted to drill another hole on the same side since I didn't have anything to get the other panel off with.

4. No speaker was included either built into or included with the case.

5. Very few screws were given.

6. Fans are large molex cable powered, not the ones that plug into th

Other Thoughts: I also bought the rosewill R379-SM (newegg item N82E16811147098) at the same time and am much more impressed with it. I think you will be, too. It's even on sale for $39.99, free shipping, with promo code EMCLVML43 today.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate Re: Previous Review

Pros: Athena Power replied to my email the day after I posted this and have shipped a replacement tray for me.

Cons: Case was still pretty poor... But for the price, an okay deal.

Other Thoughts: 2 star on last review + 4 star on this review = 3 star revised rating

2 out of 5 eggsPurchased an Open Box version...

Pros: Quiet. Acceptable airflow. Purchased for ~$35 with a 400w PSU attached. Not entirely made out of plastic...

Cons: The resistance on the DVD drive tray was so high that the DVD burner wouldn't open, so I pulled the tray out and started cutting off the dumbly-placed plastic ridges. After finished, ~10 minutes later, I reconnected the cover to the tray system only for the resistance pin (which was held there with a trace amount of glue, it seems) to spring out. And hour of frustrating work later, and the tray cover had become so deformed that I gave up. Anyway, the button which was supposed to press the eject button on the DVD player was so short that you had to bend the tray to have the buttons connect.

As well, the case had many wires blocking the path of the DVD burner to begin with, which took a few minutes with a screwdriver trying to push down, since you can't open the front of the case w.o. breaking it.

PSU also wasn't installed properly on the case. The screws bent the case downward because there was nothing supporting the unit's weight and so it was all on the screws.

Other Thoughts: I don't think I'll ever be purchasing from this company again. I'm waiting to see if Athena Power will at least ship me another CD/DVD tray, since I doubt Newegg will refund me after so much modification on the case.

1 out of 5 eggsCould be a Good Case If...

Pros: Small ATX Case, looks pretty good after supergluing the front back on.

Cons: My case also arrived with all 4 plastic retaining clips for the face on the case broken. It was detached from the front of the machine. This case has potential for the money, as it includes the power supply too. Case metal is very thin and dents very easily. Perhaps a bad batch of cases?

Other Thoughts: Once assembled, makes a decent case. Front USB port connectors are a solid piece, meaning they will attach only one way, eliminating the possibility of incorrectly hooking them up. Once connected to the system board, the front ports work with no problems. I believe this case has potential to be a decent low end case for the money. I wanted a small atx case to not take up a lot od desk space.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap Case

Pros: Small

Cons: So cheap it was broken when arrived. The front is held on by 4 cheap tabs and was hanging when it was pulled out of box.
