4 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: - Modern 600W power supply
- Small footprint
- Multiple case fans included
- Screws and standoffs provided

The power supply is huge and supports much more than the case can contain. There really isn't a lot of space for big video cards and other power suckers so this should be all you ever need.

There is enough airflow with the supplied fans that there shouldn't be a lot of heat buildup but that does depend a lot of what you manage to install in the tiny space available.

Unlike the only other review I could find on this case mine was supplied with all the standoffs, clips, tie wraps, and screws I could use. The case is indeed made of cheap metal so the screw holes can easily be stripped out but this is common among cheap cases.

I purchased this case to build a custom firewall appliance and it looks like it will work just dandy for that purpose.

Cons: - Power Supply connectors don't jive with the case
- Over ventilated case will draw in unrestricted dust
- Front panel cabling not marked well
- No case speaker

Even with a modern power supply it would be nice to have some legacy connectors. There is a little fan power distribution board near the front of the case that accepts a legacy drive power connector; unfortunately the included power supply doesn't come with a connector that has connectors for the installed fans nor does it have a connector to power this little distribution board. To add insult to injury the mother board I purchased only has a single case fan connector.

The second big pain with this case is it is filled with ventilation holes; this means there is no control over where the cool air enters or exits so there is no opportunity to filter the air before it enters the case. This also isn't catastrophic but screams for a better design since the case will have to be removed from the cabinet periodically for cleaning.

The cabling to the front panel wasn't all marked but it isn't difficult to trace down the cabling and figure it all out. There are more LEDs and switches than a modern mother board generally handle.

It would have been nice to have a cheap speaker so the mother board can complain properly. I installed an old junk speaker I found in a scrap drawer.

Other Thoughts: This isn't a really bad case; it just isn't data center quality. It is easily as good as any cheap desktop case I have purchased minus the missing speaker. If you have a place for a rack mounted case in your house for a small server with a mini ATX mother board this will work fine.

If you are planning to run mission critical servers; find a better case with the appropriate redundant power and space.

It will make a nice firewall for my home but will require at least annual cleaning since there is no air flow control through the case. The components inside the case will remain cool as long as they are not covered in dust.

2 out of 5 eggsUnimpressed

Pros: I purchased this primarily because it was one of the few relatively shallow 2U cases that could support an ATX board.

Cons: This case will _not_ actually support an ATX board if the supplied power supply is installed. I had to purchase a different 2U form factor power supply and replace it. There is really no excuse for them shipping this with this power supply.

The fit and finish of the case left a lot to be desired. It didn't come with any hardware; I had to supply my own offsets and motherboard screws. The drilled holes for the offsets were poor quality, in general the sheet metal seems cheap and the build quality mediocre.

Interior space management was poor. As it ships, you can get two peripherals into the box.

The front panel wiring is poorly marked.

The included fan is cheap, loud, and doesn't support fan control.

Other Thoughts: I might still buy this case in the future, but I certainly wouldn't get it with the power supply. I'm still looking for a decent-quality 2U rack chassis.
