Aerocool has flipped, and you will, too, for the Zero Degree Black. This mid-tower takes an innovative change in perspective by swinging everything around 180 degrees. This sets the ATX, micro ATX, BTX, or micro BTX motherboard on the left side wall, with the seven PCI expansion slots at the top where it is much simpler to reach.

The massive 250mm sidewall fan, displayed beautifully on plexiglass, is likewise on the right. Up front you'll think you're looking and a full sized tower when you see the massive ten drive bays capable of both 5.25" and 3.5" drives. There's a special eye to detail with the front I/O ports.

The two USB ports are placed on either side of the two audio ports to prevent the frustration of trying to fit two cords that are just slightly too large. Internally there is enough room for two hard drives right on top of the power supply that is now located out of the way on the bottom. Upside down has never been so cool.

  • newegg Superb Expandability with 12 Drive Bays Boasting ten external 5.25" drive bays (three can be converted to 3.5” external drive bays via adapters) and two internal 3.5” drive bays, the AeroCool ZeroDegree-BK provides superb expandability.
  • newegg Excellent Airflow and Cooling The AeroCool ZeroDegree-BK features a 25cm side fan and 12cm front fan for excellent cooling with meshed bay covers and acrylic side panel vents for enhanced air intake and optimum heat dissipation.
  • newegg BTX Upgradeability With separate BTX kits, upgrade the AeroCool ZeroDegree-BK to a BTX case with support for standard BTX, Micro BTX and Pico BTX motherboards. (BTX kits are purchased separately.)
  • newegg Transparent Side Panel Window The AeroCool ZeroDegree-BK’s fantastic transparent UV Acrylic side window provides a direct view of the inner system.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The convenient front I/O panel enables easy access to two USB 2.0 ports and two audio ports.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Case

Pros: absolutely great case, the backwards setup seems like it should be standard. the fan isn't as loud as my other older fans. i've never used a tooless system and for reasons later mention couldn't use the hdd tooless, but the 5.25 inch tooless kits were simple to use and held it tight enough for me. acrylic is UV and without and colored lights seems to glow a slight blue/purple
came with plenty of screws and standoffs, and most standoffs were already screwd in(screw'ed, spelled correctly is blocked from reviews-lol),
power supply is in a great position for hiding cables and cooling but-see cons

Cons: power supply-metal mesh vent on the underside of the case, this is wonderful for cooling, since most psu's have a fan in the bottom, BUT if you're like me and set your computer on a thick carpet floor then the mesh is completely covered blocking out almost all of the air flow

My front fan was, like someone else, was jammed and I had to twist it loose, and now works like a charm

also, I'm using older parts that use ide instead of sata
and there is only one ide slot on my mobo, soooo i can't reach from my hardrive to my disk drive if I use the hardrive slots, I have to just use one of the 3.5 adapters and problem solved(so I couldn't test tooless for the hdd)

I put in two cold cathodes and was kind of hard to find a place for but put them vertically front and back in the back it blocks the spot for the 120mm fan, so I'll stick with 2 80's

also, not a big deal but the paint, is a bit bubbly

Other Thoughts: it is a bit on the heavy side, but my last case was a cheap aluminum case, and I really wanted something thick and sturdy, this was the perfect choice.

most edges are rounded off but still be carefull, from other reviews I became cocky and managed 2 cuts on my hands lol

the audio and usb cables inside are all connected, not seperate little plugs, which makes it very easy to work with

I looked for weeks trying to find a good case for a fairly inexpesive price, and this is what I had finally decided on, for the price, it is definitely the best fully featured case on newegg

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: The 250 on the side offers great airflow over your CPU and GPU. The inverted motherboard is amazing for assembly and you actually get to see GPU designs (what an idea). The power supply pulls air from outside the case causing a massive drop in temperature. This is an amazing case for those who believe in good cooling.

Cons: Arrived with a small crack in the acrylic.

Other Thoughts: AeroCool knows what to do when it comes to cooling.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: well built, simple look, very functional

Cons: huge plastic fan, sometimes annoying hum, although looks kinda cool and surprisingly silent for the size. Kinda heavy case, not aluminum :(

Other Thoughts: tough contest btw AeroCool and several Ultra cases. Have no idea why newegg doesn't carry any Ultra products. Too bad, cause their PSU's and some of the cases kick A.

4 out of 5 eggsLots of room. Good Finish.

Pros: Exterior build quality and finish, and nine 5.25 spaces, with a few INCLUDED 3.5 converters. Very clean front instrument panel.

Cons: Everything to do with the power supply. Mounting is goofy, and fan intake either sucks carpet though the bottom of the case, or hot air from the hard drive above. Interior build quality isn't negligent, but it isn't incredible either. At lease it won't cut you.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my NAS server. I run (2)Five slot hotswap sata raid bays, and still have room for a third. The case accomodates these bays well, but you have to bend 5.25 bay support tabs to accomodate a hotswap bay. My other cases are Antec: A Sonata I and a P180. If the antecs are a 10, the sunbeam is a 5. But I give it a 7 because it does make a killer high capacity NAS is a very compact package.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Case

Pros: This is IMHO the perfect case for someone that doesn't have 3-400 bucks to shell out for a high end case. Does everything it's supposed to and more. Love the upside down setup, and the stock fans are so quiet I decided against changing them out for the more expensive fans I planned on. Toolless kits work like a charm, opticals don't move around at all, and the hard drive is in so tight I couldn't do any better with screws if I wanted to

Cons: Somewhat easily scratched, be very careful while putting everything together, one loose screw and you have a nice little gash to cover up.

Other Thoughts: All in All the perfect case, I have worked with a lot of higher end cases out there that range from 250-400 bucks and this one is my favorite. Also helps that the front door is metal with a magnetic closure ( I thought it was plastic when I first ordered.

This bad boy keeps my 2 DVD roms, Sata HD, 2x Radeon x1650PROs, 4 gigs corsair ram, and my Phenom FX quad core very very cool.

Get it you won't regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Sturdy and plenty of room. Attractive case

Cons: The front fan was stuck and I had to remove to free it and it cannot be removed from the back, so the front of the case has to be removed. Don't know where the 1" cut on my wrist came from. Last the scewless locks to hold the Optical drives leave the drives loose, so I used screws.

Other Thoughts: After I got used to working upside down it was ok. This was a special order(need window on the right side) and I would not use it again as there are less expensive options that do the same thing. Power supply "just fits"

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice and cool

Pros: This case is one of the best I have ever had. It stays cool, looks beautiful, and is EXTREMELY quiet. While laying in bed 6 feet away I cannot even hear the computer. It is very well designed, I love the upside-down setup. My favorite feature is the two hard drives bays directly above the power supply.

Cons: Mine came with a scratched back and a small chip of paint missing. I'm not too fond of having a magnet only inches from my hard drives no matter how weak it is. Finally the fans are a bit too weak and don't move quite as much air as I would like - however this is negligible as the system still stays fairly cool (temp<50C) under normal load.

Other Thoughts: One of the best designed cases I've seen in a very long time. Aerocool finally got this one right. The only thing I feel they should add to this is a few more 3.5" bays in the front side which will stay very cool because of the 2 120mm fans up front.

5 out of 5 eggsexpectations exceeded

Pros: The case is one of the quietest cases you can buy for the money. It features a reverse hardware config- the power supply at the bottom. Much better and makes the case even easier to put together. It is MOSTLY screwless, but I wouldn't put it together without having one handy. It is full metal and the pictures don't do it justice. There is metal mesh over the fans in some places and it makes the case look great. Very professional, but could look like a gaming case.

Cons: The case is larger than previous ones I've had. There are limited 5 inch bays if you have two fans in the front. For some reason, my cd rom fried when I put it into this case, but I doubt that is the case's fault. The large fan is quiet, but doesn't have LED's.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this case again. The way the hardware is set up is very unique and is one of the main reasons this review is a five.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: I like the upside down atx thing. Lots of 5.25 drive slots. 5.25 to 3.5 adapters. Nice looking and sturdy. Lots of room inside.

Cons: I guess I've gotten spoiled with all of the screw-less installation designs out. Although I didn't really mind screwing in the video card, etc. Also the pieces for the 5.25 drives aren't as easy as most screw-less cases, but they work great.

Other Thoughts: There is lots of room in this case. I have a liquid cooling setup and it looks great in this case. I'm not to keen on the huge fan, but it gives the case good air flow. Overall, I would recommend this case!
