1 out of 5 eggsFirecracker psu

Pros: Love the size they got the right idea

Cons: Wow where should I start they my wife about had a heart attack when this firecracker started going off the power supply started popping so loud it was crazy it shot sparks out catching a newspaper it was sitting on on fire and smoke was just rolling out of the case all this after about 30sec of running it cook every part that was pluged into it mb,cpu, and memory are new and can be rma'd but 2 intel 512gb ssd, 1 intel 160gb ssd, and a WD 2tb hdd drive are now just out of warranty for a loss of $1000. Not including all the return shipping and time it will cost me till this is done.

Other Thoughts: I had high hopes for this case I hope evga pays attention to feedback and fix the few issues this case (1.) Get rid of the stupid slot load and use a tray load or at least make a dam list they sell a DVD rom lol that old hardware they have no blu-Ray or any thing that will fit use a try load and put a removable plate over it.
(2.) paint the hole case don't cheap out when get a premium price.
(3.) hdd cage removable
(4.) the psu cables only have 2 sata power plugs should be min of 4

5 out of 5 eggsA great little case

Pros: Very sleek look, everything looks quality, feels sturdy and very well laid out. It takes a bit of planning and patience but this case was surprisingly easy to work with if you take your time and do your research.

Cons: Literally the only issue I have is the case thumb screws are plastic (although they feel sturdy), bit of a weird thing to skimp on but no reason to deduct an egg.

Other Thoughts: My rig consists of:
Intel i5-4670k cpu /w EVGA mitx 92mm HSF
8gb (4gb x 2) 1600mhz g.skill ares low profile memory
EVGA GTX 770 4gb gpu
Samsung 840 evo 120gb SSD

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Compact Case!

Pros: A very well thought out case that has only the necessary features required of a mini-itx case. The fans included are somewhat silent (not audible when watching a video or movie). Also the PSU fan is quiet as well. If your PSU is louder than usual you may have a faulty PSU.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that dust build-up can be a problem in the future as there are no filters. You can invert the top fan as an intake (which I haven't tried yet). I have read this leads to better cooling.

Other Thoughts: The smallest case I've ever owned (next to an hp slimline I bought in 2007). Make sure you buy a compatible GPU that will fit the case's dimensions. The power supply can power a GTX 780 which packs a lot of power for gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor quality from EVGA?

Pros: small and sleek. looks beautiful

Cons: cables are actually extremely short... usb 3.0 does not even reach motherboards port. FRONT GLASS HAS SCRATCHES! That is a major let down! the glass came all scratched up! There is no place i can find to purchase another side panel for the glass... so im stuck with a scratched up side.. great

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Kevin S,

I am sorry for the confusion as the USB 3.0 cord should be long enough for most motherboard as this cable is made to fit as long as it is not routed behind the case or under the motherboard. I can also confirm that the side panel does come with a thin plastic covering on the outside of the case to guard against scratches, but this cover can easily scratch and needs to be removed to display the clear window. If you should need further assistance with removing this cover or if you should continue to have a problem then please call our 24 hour support at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or by email at as we are here to assist you.

5 out of 5 eggsGood little case

Pros: Small and classy, comes with power supply, steel construction and two 120mm fans located at the top of the case.

Cons: Cable management is the only real con here, but it depends on the mobo.

Other Thoughts: This thing really is small, it should work well with any mini itx mobo.

4 out of 5 eggsI Love This Case But Needs Improvement

Pros: Small Size
Absolute Stunning Looks
Great Build Quality
Good Sized Window
500 Watt Gold Rated Power Supply is good for upper midrange systems

Cons: Absolutely No Cable Management
No CPU Cutout for Aftermarket Coolers
Poor wire colors (I mean come on, a tan HD audio connector out of the 90's?)
Non Removable Hard Drive Cage
Front Glossy Panel Attracts Fingerprints
Front Panel Held On By Glue
Side Window Scratches Extremely Easy (even with a microfiber cloth)
Missing Powdercoat on Some Internals
Bad Audio Interference from Front Panel Connectors
Power Supply Cables could be better

Other Thoughts: Was quite difficult to build in because lack of room, but very rewarding when you finish and manage to cram all the cables in the corner where it isn't seen. I still absolutely love this case though there is much that can be improved

Specs: Built for a friend
i3 4340 @ 3.6GHz
EVGA 760 Blower Style
8 GB G.Skill 1600
Samsung Evo 120GB
Corsair Fans Everywhere
ASRock B85 M-ITX

5 out of 5 eggsI think it's great

Pros: Sleek design, sturdy construction, quality parts, very compact. Compared to other cases in this size, it's one of the only ones that can accommodate multiple drives, plus include optical, high end video and have enough power to go around.

Cons: The price tag is just a little high on this unit, but understandably so, the only way to get it down would be mass production or using lesser quality parts and light gauge metals. If the cost was about 20-25% less, it would be perfect.
Assembly with the optional slim optical drive can be a slight inconvenience, but again it is very understandable with the compact design. It does also mean you need to spend double the cost on the proprietary optical drive too.

Other Thoughts: I don't see the issue that other reviewers mention. Power supply is great, puts out adequate power in a very limited amount of space and with smaller fan design it is a little louder since the fan moves faster. The drives mount fine and cables tuck nicely. One cable was short but most custom builders have spares anyway. I use these chassis to build small custom NAS units that can handle a full operating system for running a Windows server based backup software. They run solid around the clock and have been reliable thus far. Even with the hefty price tag I am able to build a custom backup solution at about 1/5 of the cost of leading full sized rack-mount storage servers.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: -Looks nice
-Excellent cooling
-Fits everything you need
-Creative design
-Great PSU

Cons: -USB 3.0 Cable not long enough
-Terrible cable management

Other Thoughts: I installed the Gigabyte F2A88XN-WIFI mobo in this case with an A-10 7700 CPU, 16GB Corsair Vengeance Ram, Samsung 840 SSD, and 2tb WD black HD. The USB 3.0 cable is not long enough to reach the plug on the MOBO, about 2" too short, had to order an extension cable. It's nearly impossible to hide the cables, if the HD bracket was mounted Horizontally instead of vertically and was removable this problem could be alleviated, It might help if they put air space in the back of the case to run cables like Corsair does in their cases. Having a window on the case is cool, but if you cant hide the cables it's kind of ugly.

The fans are noisy when you first fire this thing up. Don't send it back for that, after the first hour of operation they quiet down significantly. This is the best mini itx case for cooling you can get. I applaud EVGA for creating something like this for this form factor. I think desktops will be moving to this form factor more and more. I would maybe think about adding a removable or folding handle to the case. I have built a couple of Mini ITX systems for remote video editing companies, the handle would make this device more portable. Other than that great case!
