Xion skimped on nothing when they made the XION II XON-101 case: all the options were included, all the requirements exceeded, and it's a great value. They started with the basics -- the fans. The designers went big for maximum air flow with a 120mm green LED intake fan up front, and another 120mm exhaust fan in the rear. Not content with that though, an 80mm fan was mounted on the side panel window, in the center of Xion's trademark X, to breathe relief directly onto the motherboard.

Up front wasn't forgotten either, with the spacious four 5.25" and two 3.5" external drive bays, all protected with style behind their door. Inside is just as impressive with a massive five bays for the internal hard drives. ADurability wasn't forgotten -- the whole assembly is wrapped in the stregnth of steel, to keep your investment safe!

  • newegg Superior Expandability with 11 Drive Bays Boasting four external 5.25" drive bays, two external and five internal 3.5" drive bays, the XION II XON-101 provides superior expandability.
  • newegg Improved Airflow The XION II XON-101 features one 80mm side fan and two silent 120mm fans in rear and front to deliver improved airflow.

4 out of 5 eggsGenerally Good

Pros: -Good Cooling
-Decent Expansion Space
-Durable: Before I assembled my computer in my dorm room, while I was moving in, the case got dropped yet sustained no visible damage.
-Nice Green LEDs

Cons: -Door Hinge is sorta flimsy, snapped the top one accidentaly holding while installing stuff in 5.25 bays. Good news is that the hinge is a pretty easy fix.
-So-so power supply, took it out and keeping it around for backup
-While the metal X-shape on the door has holes in it, the plastic of the door itself is solid behind it. For most, this is not much of a concern, only for those who have a 5.25 HDD cooler that has fans in front. Again, if you are willing, it is a quick fix with a small drill bit.

Other Thoughts: The black case can be both a pro and a con, depending on your color prefrences beacuse it shows fingerprint smudges very easily.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks Nice....Cools Well...

Pros: Well Cooled ... Nice usage of Green Neon Lights...

Cons: Absolutely 0 instructions with case...though in truth I needed none .... subpar Powersupply...

Other Thoughts: The case is very well designed...even if it is not toolless...the airflow inside is perfect, and the fans are more than quiet enough. The power supply is extremely limited. It has no PCI-E connectors, only 1 4 pin Motherboard connector, and the actual power cable to power the supply from your wall socket is substandard for U.S. customers. Instead of having 2 flat connecting pins and one round ground pin, it has 3 flat pins (very thin) meaning that you are forced to use the short 3 foot power cable as supplied with the unit.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case!!

Pros: Great looking case. Seems very solid and is more roomy than I expected. I didn't cut myself on any sharp corners. Not bright enough to light you dark room with and quiet. I expected more noise from a case with three fans in it.

Cons: Front LED was 3 hole female attachment and motherboard input was 2 prong male. Not a big deal, just rewired the attachment and front LEDs light up nicely. No other cons as of yet.....keeping an eye on the P/S.

Other Thoughts: You have to work on the cable routing to clean up the inside of the case if you want to show off your motherboard and other parts and improve airflow but there are spots you can hide wiring behind.

4 out of 5 eggsPower Supply

Pros: The case looks very cool and everything fits fine!

Cons: The power supply died. When I first booted the computer up all the LED lights worked and it was cool, but a week later the lights on the front of the case stopped working. I didn't really care because everything else was fine. Then randomlly through out the 5 months I used the power supply my computer would randomlly reboot and shut down which made me very annoyed but it didn't happen enough for me to try to fix it(it always occured during video games). So today it shut down in the middle of a game and wouldn't come back on. I replaced the power supply and everything works fine including the LED lights on the front case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, bad PSU

Pros: This case is great, I ordered it for a friend and he has been very happy with it for the entire time of ownership. It looks very nice in person and there is plenty of space to work with UNLESS you have a newer video card which are massive.

Cons: The PSU died after only a few months of ownership and began dying within the first month (if you unplugged it you had to fiddle with the switches on the back until the connection finally took)

Other Thoughts: I don't really know whether to blame to PSU or my friends house but it died after a few months, although so does pretty much anything that enters his house for more than 10 minutes.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent case

Pros: It's a good case for the money. My whole AMD setup went into with no hassle. LED's in it looks nice when it fired up.

Cons: The front doors are made of plastic and feel flimsy. The fans are a bit cheap and the power supply that came with it is about worthless for anything nowadays.

Other Thoughts: if your goin for a cheap case to get the job done its a good buy but don't rely on the PSU to do any kind of a job for you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This case is very attractive with its silver embellishments and Green LEDs. It comes with three case fans, all of which are very quiet, and effective, as far as I can tell. This case has plenty of space for Hardware. Installation was a breeze, and the side window makes for an impressive view.

Cons: It's big. I had to rethink my desk setup, as my tower was too large to fit on the floor and not cause problems at my feet. (but hey, why waste the wonderful side view?) It's also heavy, but heavy generally means durable. Fair tradeoffs for such a case, in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Like other reviews here, I feel I should inform you that I did not test the 450W stock PSU. I immediately pulled it out and replaced it with a 600W Rosewill PSU that was better suited to my other hardware. I'm not saying that the PSU is bad, or good, just that it didn't have enough power for what I wanted.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case!!!

Pros: This case was spacious, and fit the Motherboard and all components nicely. Looks great in a dark room, was a little concerned about a flimsy door but it turned out being sturdy enough.

Cons: I couldnt hook up the power LED, because the case needed three slot power and I only had a two slot, which is normal for most cases? IDK didnt bother me at all, but to some it might?

Other Thoughts: Dont even bother buying the one with the power supply. Save yourself a little money and go with the case without a power supply and just buy a nice corsair or apevia to slap into the case. no point in wasting money when you could spend it elsewhere!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for first timers

Pros: I was surprised with how spacious this thing turned out to be. And the the air flow through this thing is excellent. I was originally worried I would end up overheating my CPU. But just the massive heat sink and the two fans within the case keeps my CPU temp around mid 30's when OC'd.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was used for my first build. I don't have a single dent or ding in the thing and I move it from location to location at least every 2 months. I would recommend replacing the PSU that comes with this one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: I love this case! This was my first build, and I wanted something with enough room to add stuff later on. Fans and lights work, everything is staying nice and cool. And what can I say? It looks so cool!

Cons: I didn't even bother with the power supply, based on everyone's comments.

Other Thoughts: The case seems real sturdy, although other have mentioned problems with the door on the front being easily broken. I would definitely buy another one! Here's what I put in it:
cpu: Intel Core 2 Quad Q660 2.4 GHz
psu: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ700SXS 700W
cpu fan: ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
video card: EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3
ram: CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model
os: Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2C 64-bit for System Builders
