3 out of 5 eggsXion Xon 980

Pros: I purchased this case for my firs build back in November and have been pretty much satisfied. This case was designed well for gaming builds. Plenty of room for components and had no trouble installing my H2O AIO Deepcool 240 heat sink. Cable management was easy to work with an plenty of bays for adding extra HDD's or SSD's. You can add up to 7 120 fans or 5 120's and a 140 on the side left side panel. Keeps unit running at an average of 28c to 32c.

Cons: The reason I gave this case 3 eggs is that the fan hub doesn't work. At first I thought it was something I failed to connect or hook up right but after numerous attempts of changing connections and retrying fan configs I realized it was the fan hub support that's faulty. It would be great if Xion offered support or a way of replacing it.

1 out of 5 eggsNo.

Pros: Looks nice. Nice features on paper.

Cons: Doesn't fit my water cooling well, I have an H105, and the screws don't fit well, and they didn't include any alternate screws.

Fan controller caused lots of stability issues until I removed it.

On more than one occasion, plugging something into the front USB ports has prompted my motherboard to reset, or everything to freeze.

Having lots of stability issues, someone else said they had grounding issues, and quite frankly, I'm inclined to believe them. When I have the money, I'm getting a new case.

Maybe it's the motherboard, but I have a feeling it's the case.

Rebate was never acknowledged or paid, and I won't be able to return the case because the UPC was cut out for the rebate I never got.

Don't bother. They won't pay your rebate, and the nice features of the case aren't worth mentioning because half the time, they don't work. Very disappointing, I had high expectations for the case.

Other Thoughts: Going back to Antec, NZXT, CoolerMaster, with my next case. This was a disappointment. I might be moving next month, and I'm afraid to pack this case, I'm afraid my radiator will come loose and smash stuff up.

2 out of 5 eggsXION Gaming Series XON-980-BK

Pros: The case itself is pretty big, the removable drive bays are a huge plus. Pretty sturdy and easy to use. It comes with a bunch of fans for free though.

Cons: Where to start... The cases back cover is a huge pain to put back on. There are like 5 molex power connectors for the non-working fan controller (many people have had this problem). Don't even bother using them. Contrary to what it may say you need top be careful with mounting water coolers to this case, they may not fit. My H80i did not fit on the top for example. This case is not worth 70$ imo. I would not recommend this case to a friend, not for the price I paid.

4 out of 5 eggsBest case for the price.

Pros: This case has every option out there and if you're like me you put all your money in what's under the hood. I looked at allot of cases under $80 for a few days and this case was my final choice. I will save you the research, Best bang for your buck with the option's and size.

Cons: fan controllers are useless

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Has 4 front mounted USB ports. It's very roomy, will fit almost any mobo and most graphics cards. Comes with three 120mm fans. Can have up to 8 120mm fans. Or two 140mm fans on the top. (Taking away two 120mm's).

Cons: Can't mount a Corsair H80i on the top with the given screws. I imagine you would have trouble with other radiator liquid coolers also. The back side panel can be difficult to fit on. It comes with a lot of molex power connectors for the useless fan controller. Honestly I don't even use it.

Other Thoughts: I have an Asus m5A99fx Pro r2.0 with a AMD 8320. A MSi gtx 970, a corsair H80i.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, with minor-ish problems.

Pros: Looks good, very roomy, lots of nice features, USB 3.0 ports, includes fairly quiet fans.

Cons: 1. Power/Reset buttons are way too easy to push, and I can't count how many times I bumped into them and reset/shut down on accident before I moved my PC off to the side.

2. Fan controller is a piece of junk. I knew going in that it didn't support variable power for the fans, it's just a toggle, but, what I didn't expect is that having it plugged in would crash my computer at random intervals. First day or so after assembling it, my computer would randomly freeze, BSOD, or just reset for no reason, under load or not. More often it was idling, only happened under load once.

I tear my hear out trying to figure out why, some guy online says his case's integrated fan controller was causing problems, so, sure, why not, I'll indulge him. Yep, that was it. 4 days stable with the fan controller unplugged, plugged it back in, all hell broke loose again. Not a huge deal, just irritating. If the feature is going to be that broken, just don't include it at all. Overall, I'm fairly happy with the case, aside from the aforementioned. Just don't plan on using the fan controller and you'll be golden.

4 out of 5 eggsnice and cheap

Pros: its a cheap case with lots of cooling options. If your gonna cut corners do it with this.

Cons: If your water cooling dont plan on mounting a rad up top that's thicker than 27mm with 25mm thick fans because it wont fit. i have maybe 3mm before my rad touches my MB

4 out of 5 eggsHighly recommend this case

Pros: - Extremely well thought out and designed
- Support for front panel HD audio, including separate AC'97 header
- Support for both USB 2.0 AND USB 3.0 font panel connectors
- Bottom mount power supply supports both standard and inverted mounting and is excellently designed
- Surprisingly excellent fit with *all* components
- Absolute perfect alignment on all screw holes
- Super simple easy to use Drive bays support both SSD and 3.5" spindle drives. The spindle drive mounts are screwless and an absolute joy to mount and install.
- Cable management is amazing with little cable management holes and zip tie mounts and brackets in literally *all* the perfect places. I'd post photos if I could about how perfect it is.
- Liquid cooling mounts and options for both CPU and GPU a plus
- Comes with air filters to help keep that nasty dust out of your system.
- Motherboard standoff's integrated into case for standard ATX form factors which is nice because you don't have to install them and additional standoff's provided in bolt bag for E-ATX form factor cases.

Cons: - The gauge of the steel used in it's construction is a hair on the flimsy side.

Other Thoughts: Mine came out of the box with one corner of the side panel bent and I had to bend it back. It bends too easily. It can support the weight of equipment inside but it does feel suspiciously like someone was trying to shave a few pennies off production costs by using steel that's a little too thin but then I'm partial to the full tower cases of the 90s that were built like tanks. On the other hand it does make the case lighter and easier to carry. I'd gladly have paid more for something that is a little heavier duty.

The case is not super tall but is super deep which can be nice depending on the space in which it will live but keep that in mind and make sure you review the dimensions. I was specifically looking for something that could handle E-ATX gear so I knew what I was getting but the photo does make it look smaller than it really is.

Also the air filter covering power supply air intake when power supply mounted right side up (fan down) is spaced off the frame by about 1/4" and not sure what the point of having a dust cover is if there is a 1/4 gap there.

It would also be nice if the rest of the air intakes (front/top/etc..) also had filters.

All in all this is a very well designed well thought out case with precision machining. I would definitely buy one of these again and probably will in the near future.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

Pros: Very roomy. Bigger than my old TTm60. Two front 120MM and one rear 1200MM fans provide very good airflow through the case. The drive bays are nice and easy to remove without tools.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: The added area up top for a 240MM Liquid cooler is very nice., I've mounted a Coolermaster 240m Seidon up there and it fits perfectly and still leaves plenty of room above the motherboard and ram slots. I'll probably buy another one of these next time I need another case.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ordered this case because it supported a dual fan liquid cooling system at a decent price. Fans are quiet and everything was easy to install with lots of room.

Cons: Only two minor cons and the reasons why it didn't get 5 stars. The plastic for the screw holes to support the radiator for the cooling system were a little thick so i had to buy longer screws to screw in the radiator and not a big fan of the reset button on it. I have bumped it a few times. It protrudes out a hair and is a bit big. minor design flaw.
