4 out of 5 eggsHtpc build

Pros: This case is really nice looking. Its simple and effective. The blue power button is a nice touch.

Cons: The power supply placement seems like an afterthought as if they designed it and was like oh man wait we forgot the ps! The plug is weirdly thought out. Besides that it's nice for the money.

The card reader is a nice feature to include, and works great. Minisd cards will need pliers to be removed though.

I wish ups didn't leave it outside cause it rained by the time I got home and the box was ruined, so I can't get the mail in rebate since the upc wasn't readable. Not really the cares fault though.

5 out of 5 eggsCan be a pretty decent case with a few mods

Pros: For what it is and for such a cheap price, not a bad case at all!

Fits an Asus P5KPL-CM and my old E5200 paired with a passive ATI HD 4550 no problem.

Small, able to stash next to desk out of the way.

Cons: -Loud, inefficient fans
-Screw holes don't always line up for hdd or pcie cards
-Could have more than 1 fan mount
-Could have better vents (less air restriction)
-Flimsy metal (be careful, sharp edges)
-Not much room for CPU HSF (Used a SilenX EFZ-92HA2)

Other Thoughts: The first thing I did when I got this case was to rip out the 80mm fan/bracket and put a good, quiet fan in (ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB8 80mm Case Fan). The bracket that the stock fan came mounted in did not fit the Enermax fan, so I mounted the fan directly to the case, drilling out holes in the top grill for the fan screws. I ended up cutting out the top grill (3" hole saw) and mounted the new fan directly to the top of the case with a metal fan guard in place. Much, much better. CPU runs 5-6C cooler without the restriction of the case grill.

Power supply fan is junk as well, but very easy to take apart and replace with a good, quiet Enermax 80mm fan.

2 out of 5 eggsPower Supply Pdddddd

Pros: Cool lookin. No one/ nothing else got hurt.

Cons: Power supply gave out after being on for about 8 hours straight... with a BANG!

Other Thoughts: I love the case, but the power supply made a big pop noise and, well, I just can't trust the rest of my hardware to something that scares the living **** out of me. Luckily the rest of my stuff wasn't fried.

2 out of 5 eggsPassable, but flawed

Pros: +Front Access Ports
...USB 3.0, 2.0
...5 in 1 card reader
...audio jacks

+Includes 300w, micro ATX PSU (albeit a low quality one)

+HTPC form factor

+Low cost overall (though quality is questionable)

Cons: *Build quality is quite poor
-As with the other reviewer, my metal side panel also appears bent and is difficult to slide back into place
-even if you get it on, it can be difficult to make it fit snugly because:
1) the two flimsy plastic tabs that hold the front panel on make it EXTREMELY difficult to reattach the side panel snugly if the tabs aren't in the "correct" position
2) lining up the optical drive in a way that makes it work with the front panel fitting properly is a PAIN!!! <--- every mistake or small adjustment you have to make to get this right will require detaching and lifting up a metal housing that holds the 5in1 card reader and a slot for the optical drive.

*Other reviewer is also correct that cord management is a pain

*The "motherboard tray" (if you want to call it that) has raised "stand-off" mounting holes... only problem is the one in the bottom right hand side of my mATX mobo (biostar H61) is in the wrong place.... this could just be me or some quirk about the Biostar mobo, but I'm assuming it is just the same lack of attention to detail I've noticed in other places on this case.

Other Thoughts: I will still give this two eggs because, despite some serious problems, I guess it is still a viable HTPC case w/ a replaceable PSU *IF* you are on an extreme budget. In other words, it works and is cheap, but it is rough around the edges (almost literally...).

If you can afford to pay just a bit more, or don't mind using a mini tower case, there are much better options for only a little bit more money.

2 out of 5 eggswouldn't recommend

Pros: good idea

Cons: horrible execution

Other Thoughts: i build custom pc's daily. it is my job. i did not enjoy this build whatsoever. cable management is extremely difficult, the front panel is mounted with 2 flimsy tabs that don't line up without convincing. the motherboard i/o shield fit loosely in place and don't even get me started on the optical drive/hard drive mounting...

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Very well designed, quiet & compact, everything fits very well. As you'd expect, Chinese quality and attention to details. Also as you'd expect, the instruction aren't written very well.

Cons: Although there are things which you'd think are simple after you figure out how to do them, causing needless aggravation due to poor instructions. I.E., The hard drive mounts to the bottom and front of the case not the cage which holds the optical drive. I don't like the power cord exiting the bottom of the case.

Other Thoughts: USB & audio connectors have been simplified and those annoying brass case/board attachment have been eliminated. My MSI A55M-P33 MB fits the space provided very well and so does everything else. Mounting the drives has been improved over the previous model.

5 out of 5 eggsMAClone Case

Pros: whiteish, usb 3.0, cardreader, slim

Cons: pay attention to your board size. uATX 9.6"L x 9.6"W boards with side sata connectors will not fit because of power supply.

Other Thoughts: it takes some skill to get it all in there. do you have what it takes?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small form factor. Nice color. Fits everything I need in this case.

Cons: Runs a little warm but not too bad. The box was smashed pretty bad when I got it. Case was bent as well. Not going to RMA it though because of time constraints. Please Newegg start shipping through FEDEX so that my packages don't get smashed.
