Xion Power!

Xion skimped on nothing when designing the XON-985-BK gaming case: every option was included, every requirement was exceeded, and it's a knockout value. They started with the basics - the fans. The designers went big for maximum airflow with two 120mm blue LED front fans and a 120mm rear fan, as well as extra fan mounts for future cooling upgrades. A removable HDD pull-out tray in the right-mounted cage and a tool-less ODD bay makes drive installation and maintenance a breeze. With features such as black internal finish for a sleek look, front panel USB 3.0 connectivity, and cable management compartment, this case is a phenomenal choice for your dream system.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks cool, has good compartments for your memory and optics drives

Cons: Had to cut some of the back to get my video card to fit. This thing is stupid

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't be happier

Pros: Awesome look! The 2 front fans are SUPER QUIET, not overly bright but still looks great. Huge side window! The hard drive trays are removable. There's an external hard drive connection bay directly at the top
The mesh front plating is pretty sweet looking and fairly sturdy. Cable organization is in my opinion is just fine, all I did was rout the cables behind the solid side plate. My motherboard is smaller so my SATA cables couldn't reach my hard drive and dvd player so I could recommend ordering foot long cables iF you have a small motherboard. Plenty of space! And access to the 2 top fans couldn't be any simpler with a removable top case. Tremendous air flow for my GTX 770 card. There's to adjustable knobs to control fan speed and LED brightness for front and top fans. ITS A STEAL OF A BUY FOR $69

Cons: Unfortunately, though the frame feels sturdy, it is still plastic so handle with care. The hard drive trays are plastic and if not careful, you can snap the attach fittings. The #1 killer is the front dust filter...man putting that back in! There's got to be a science to it cause it sucks with the friction tabs on it always catching on something.

Other Thoughts: This is my first build...*NOTE* this tower didn't come with instructions for the wires so you need to know a little about what you're doing or at least have someone who has average knowledge to help. Even though its my first I had very little resistance and put it together in 4-5 hrs. **Attached 3:30mins Video** so you can get the full view and help your decision

4 out of 5 eggsmore than i could ever wish for

Pros: Case is VERY large. You practically fit everything in there.
Has a nice/cool looking design.
Fan controller.
Lots of space.
Lots of places to put your fans for more ventilation
easy removable filters for easy cleaning

Cons: Hassle to take off the front of the case because you have to open both sides of the case and furthermore you need to unscrew some screws to open it up. Got kinda confused how to install fans on the top.

3 out of 5 eggsGood with a few flaws

Pros: Looks nice. Blue LED fans and a nice mesh covering on the front.
Roomy, lots of space inside. Being able to hide the wires behind a piece of metal inside the case is a great feature.

Cons: Top removable piece of plastic was slightly broken on arrival.

Interior dust filter on the front is nigh impossible to put back into place upon removal without removing the entire faceplate as a result of a slight bend in it that causes it to jam against guiding plastic tabs on the interior of the case.

One of the front 2 case fans blew after less than 1 month of use. The plastic that made up the central circle that held the blades in place had split.

Other Thoughts: Decent case, good price with rebate, but not top-quality build or craftsmanship.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Plenty of room
- Nice design
- No sharp edges

Cons: I found three things wrong while building with this case.

1. One corner by the retaining bolt was a little bent - easy fix with pliers

2. The backside plastic decorative piece was held on by a screw and two plastic clips. The clips were broken. - Piece held in place by front plastic accents.

3. **This is why I took the egg off** The screws for the motherboard only went about halfway into the stand off posts before getting stuck. I turned a little harder and one of the stand off posts stripped out of its hole.

Other Thoughts: The hard drive light is behind the smooth plastic on the front under the controls. This looks really cool in person. Newegg should include a picture of it.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: Looks cool, very compact and easy to use.

Particularly awesome Optical and HDD mounts.

Cons: Upon arrival the case's foot (front right) was broken (plastic female thread, why...?) and also SATA cable was snapped from top assembly.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I guess the case isn't so bad for what you pay for. Nice cable management and looks cool.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect 4.5 eggs

Pros: 1) removale vent filters. easy cleaning
2) great cable management. bottom psu. nice clear side panel
3) great air flow designs with tons of room for more fans. can fit larger (2x120mm) water cooling radiator.
4
4) will fit any pretty much any graphic card, VGA clearance up to 13.4” ( 340mm ) without having to remove any internal drive bays.
5) internal drives brackets fit both 3.5 and 2.5 drives without adapters.
6) External/Top usb3 ports and SATA drive hot swappable (make sure your motherboard supports this) dock. and TWO external PWM fan speed controllers for front fans and top fans

Cons: 1) case fans are cheap, the two front fans have to be replaced within first week due to the noise they create from the blade hitting the fan's housing (this is the reason for that 1/2 egg deduction.

2) the external SATA dock does not have a cover (this is nit picking)

NOTHING ELSE REALLY, this case is hands down the best sub $100 case.

Other Thoughts: i'm very satisfied with this case. rich modern features. slick and well thought designs. spacious and can fit anything.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Great design, lots of space for expansion, great cord length.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Picked this case based on design and over all ratings. I had no problem opening the case, no problem with the instructions on everything, can't wait to see it all in action.
Great case for the price, would recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case for good price

Pros: Case has a VERY attractive design. The window is solid (which is what I wanted - fan holes leak a lot of noise) but a fan hole can be added later if you want. The smoked acrylic is a really nice touch. The front of the case is very clean and there's plenty of room. I was doing a black and white build so the black interior with white hardware was also a plus. NOW FOR THE EXTRA GOOD BITS that set this case apart from the others (leaving what is clearly advertised out for the most part or adding to it)

Fan controls - set of two, both click on/ off at the bottom of the range, and have a smooth progression from low-high.

Two USB3 and two USB2 ports with dust shields that are entirely removable

A power button that is not similar to or even close to the reset button (looking at you NZXT Vulcan)

A VERY nice top grill much makes the case look like a beast IMO - as a side note, it is made of the same acrylic as the window and is easily removable via a clip

Cons: None at this price! If it was something like... $150 i would want better feet, and nicer dust filters

4 out of 5 eggsStocking up

Pros: Easy assembly, comes with ties for effective cable management, good fan space, quick assemble drive bays, good amount of mounting bays

Cons: The case is relatively hard to open initially wound up damaging the board side plastics during install. the case fans are 3 pin only which is good if your board supports them most do not.

Other Thoughts: The instructions are vague about the two knobs on top for fan with LED controls. The case is tricky to open and close fist time so be careful. I'm buying more for my custom build so I recommend this for most moderate to advanced users. also check your board to see if it supports case fans if not look for 3pin to 4pin Molex adaptor.
