4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case - front panel DOA

Pros: Great Case, Everything fit perfectly and installed easily.

Cons: No manual for front panel cables. Front panel was DOA but that is no big deal because my board came with software to do the same thing. Cables for top hookups could have been a little longer but they reached as is.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat looking case

Pros: Hands down the front display makes it the coolest looking off the shelf case I have seen.

The 80mm rear case fan can be removed and replaced with a 120mm fan (which I did as my Phenom 9950 was running on the hot side) Also I love the side vent with the telescoping vent cover to allow air to be directed onto the CPU. It is designed to allow you to put an 80mm fan between the side panel and vent cover to push more air onto the CPU (which I also did)

Make sure you get fans with the smaller 3 pin connector if you want the front panel to control the rpm speed.

There appears to be room for a second 120mm fan between the front panel and the lower hard drive bay.

Cons: Like the other reviews my case came with a dead battery.

Also the fan blade had fallen out of my rear case fan. I pushed it back in and it lived for 3 weeks. Also I thought it was odd that the case fan does not work with the front panel display.

The manual (er.... piece of paper) is sorely lacking but anyone who has built computers should be able to plug it in properly.

The audio, USB and Firewire connectors are on the top of the case. Since the motherboard connectors are usually on the bottom of the motherboard these wires should have been a little longer. The USB and Firewire were long enough for my motherboard, but the audio connector wire has to pass over a couple of unused slots on the motherboard to reach. So far so good but if I need those slots I will have to figure out something else. Note: On my motherboard the position of the audio connector is the further possible distance it can get on a motherboard. Other motherboards may not be a problem.

Other Thoughts: I haven't noticed the shorting/pinching problem mentioned by other reviewers. The wires seems adequate. Although I try to be gentle with it just in case.

I miss having a hard drive activity led though.

I have had the case for 1 month so far.

I recommend it highly.

3 out of 5 eggsNot worth the headache

Pros: Nice design and airflow. 1 thumb screw to remove the top portion of the case which allows easy lift off of either side panel to get at your hardware.

Cons: This is my second case by these guys and both cases the LCD panel on the front has died, or rather shortened out due to poor engineering design of the cables that go into the case for the front LCD.

Those wires are thin and they crimp them so tight on the outer edge of the case that they short out after only a few uses of opening and closing the front access panel to get at your media drives or floppy.

Another problem is with the front LCD display which does not have a off button to disable the loud beeping that keeps coming up when your temps get past a set value. I set my 3 probles that come with this on my video card and on the north bridge and CPU. However when playing games my video card gets way to hot and goes past the threshold which is defaulted low. Since my LCD wiring has shorts the whole saved values you put in keep resetting and resulting in the annoying BEEP BEEP BEEP!! SO loud and annoying, the buttons also create a beep when you readjust the temps you want.

Other Thoughts: My battery that came in the LCD panel was dead, so I had to replace it. Both cases actually had dead batteries.

If your wires short you will get annoyed by the constant resetting of your values. Another thing is even if you do not use the 3 temp probes you will get beeps for fans not being shown on the window every so often, very weird.

The last thing is the manual. It is broken English and does not explain how to set the LCD temps up for your thresholds or fan speeds. So I had to learn after a few tries and found out. The website has no info and seems to not care for customer service.

Newegg is the best! Spent over $8000 here over the last 6+ years, keep up the good work and lower prices.

2 out of 5 eggsdont get if you go SLI

Pros: Tempters gage is good. Has fan speeds on it so you can ajust them.

Cons: Using a program like ntune is beter than using the controller. The USB/audio on top will not reach the plugs on the mobo so if you have a big graafics card or go SLI don’t get this. It might work with a micro ATX mobo but I don’t know

Other Thoughts: This is my first build so here are the spec’s asus m2n-sli deluxe mobo, AMD X2 3.2Gb, 2 640mb 8800 GTS SSC graphics cards, 4 Gig corsair ram, 1200watt power supply, 2 1TB hard drive and a 160GB hard drive
