You want air flow? You got it with the Diablo from ABS. Just make sure that children and small animals are kept away from the case when the system is powered on. It has a 250mm front fan and a massive 360mm side fan to cycle air through the case so efficiently that everything stays cool with no problems. However, if you are running a system that you think needs a little extra oomph in the cooling department there are punch-outs for a water cooling system.

Once you get the mobo in you can put down your tools since the rest of the components go in without tools. The 7 expansion slots have individual locking levers. The drive bays, both internal and external use a locking rail system to keep things in place and minimize vibrations.

This case is ready to handle a powerful system and powerful systems need large PSUs. ABS leaves the choice up to you so you can get a unit that fits your needs. Since there is a support bracket that is attached to the drive cage you can go ahead and install an oversized unit with no worries.

  • newegg Excellent Expandability with 12 Drive Bays Featuring five 5.25" external drive bays, and seven 3.5” drive bays (one external and six internal), the ABS Aplus ABS-CS-EL Diablo provides excellent expandability.
  • newegg Dual Fans with Fan Speed Control The ABS Aplus ABS-CS-EL Diablo features an enormous 250mm blue LED fan in the front and a monstrous 360mm blue LED fan on the side panel for highly efficient heat dissipation of the hard drives and CPU. With the ON/OFF switch and fan speed control, adjust fan speeds for the optimum balance between cooling performance and noise level.
  • newegg Mesh Side Panel Window The mesh side panel maximizes airflow of the inner system and reveals the cool VR LED lights for added stylishness and eye-catching fun.
  • newegg Convenient Top I/O Panel The ABS Aplus ABS-CS-EL Diablo features a convenient top I/O panel for easy access to one IEEE 1394 port, two USB 2.0 and two audio ports.

5 out of 5 eggsHUGE

Pros: I bought this in 2008. All fans and lights are still running. It has tons of space! I love it!

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: I added a small server fan into it to help exhaust hot air faster due to my two Gefore 8800 GTX being so close together (SLI'd) that it wasn't quite cooling them fast enough...but no issues other than that.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Huge fans with plenty of air flow. Enough lighting for accents but not enough to blind you like so many other cases I have owned. Pretty well built. plenty of room for components.

Cons: Stupid little things come to mind like one of the fan rpm adjusters is upside down and the switch on the front for that fan is a little touchy. One it has four L.E.Ds for hard drive lights and only 2 work. Also if you have any drive by mount fan control or sound panel like I do the front door will not close. I had to cut out pockets to fit them.

Other Thoughts: A pretty good well rounded case and you can't beat the price. If you have some defects well what do you expect for the price. Give some TLC and it well be a great case.

5 out of 5 eggsMASSIVE!

Pros: This thing is insanely huge! It sure keeps it all cool! The side fan works like a charm for the heatsink! No bumps at all.

Cons: nothing wrong with it other than its overawing size, might pose a problem for some people

3 out of 5 eggsCase Base

Pros: Large roomy case. Plenty of room to move objects around and you would think plenty of room to get air circulated inside of the case. Beautiful looking case and easy to work with inside and out.

Cons: Two major size fans, but my large 360 mm fan started to make a weird noise and appears to be slowly dying. The fans do not move as much air as you would think or like it to do. Called manufacturer and told that they do not make the fan and do not support it.

Other Thoughts: Called Newegg and they credited my account for the cost of the fan. Super job on Newegg's part eventhough they had nothing to do with the poorly made fan and my warranty expired about 6 days ago. They make buying things from their site worry free. I will always buy from Newegg after this great service.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Case

Pros: Lots of room to work and looks really slick. Got mine on sale for $80 with free shipping. Really like the steel mesh side panel.

Cons: Neither of the fans pushes very much air. The front 250mm is really only good enough to give some fresh air to the hard drives but not much makes it past the cage. The 360mm interferes with my XIGAMTEK Dark Knight so I removed it. Wish the inside was painted, the gray looks tacky. Side panels can be a pain to remove at first.

Other Thoughts: Overall I really like the case and I got an amazing deal on it. With the few flaws I have found I am still really happy with my purchase as it is still leagues better than my old case. Be sure to get a really good 120mm for exhaust and it will help tremendously. Also note, if your Power LED and HDD LED do not work, try turning the plugs around as you may have plugged them in backwards.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Relatively Good Looking with lots of space and the price.

Cons: 1. The amount of air it moves is terrible I am running at 40C at idle with a Sunbeam Core Contact Freeze and a 90CFM exhaust fan and still at 40C the 250 moves a bare amount but the 360 a tiny amount of air im very disappointed the light and fan control doesn't work at all and the door isn't recessed so i cant throw in a fan control without drilling some holes

Other Thoughts: not impressed although newegg is awesome

3 out of 5 eggsAnnoying

Pros: Looks nice, huge fans, lots of space.
Fan speed controllers work

Cons: Spent an hour rewiring the fans because the front fan wasn't working, then I decided to take off the front panel and found it it was stuck on the edge for some reason.
The back of the side panels, near where the screws are, were bent out of the box. I used a screwdriver to tighten the thumbscrews all the way which made it a little bit straighter.
The power button gets stuck 45% of the time, and if it doesn't, it feels like it's about to.
The left button to turn off the light is in the same situation.
Pressing the switch turns off both fan and LED, I've checked the connections several times but couldn't solve the problem.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I should have stuck to an ATX mid case, this thing is huge!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for buck

Pros: Very Attractive case. Well built. Cool Design. Parts seem durable enough, thus far.... GREAT PRICE, Best bang for buck imo

Cons: Fans aren't quite as powerful as i'd prefer them, to be. All the same though, the case is quite nice

Other Thoughts: If it wasn't for the slow fans this would warrant 5 eggs. The case is definitely worth the investment, for your custom rig.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: A very nice case. It's pretty big and roomy. The big fans are nice. Night lights.

Cons: Takes a while to learn how to open the case, but once you get it the first time then the second time will be quicker. My fans work but the controllers dont work.

Other Thoughts: The switches on the front of the case turns the fans on and off. (left switch controls side fan and right switch controls the front fan)

4 out of 5 eggsGood solid case

Pros: Big which made it easy to assemble my new machine. There is a button on the front of the case so you can turn off the lights of the fans when you are running something when you want the room to be dark. Which is a huge plus for me because i like a dark room when i sleep and my last case got on my nerves that way.

Cons: Not a lot to complain about only thing is that the fans are a bit loud.
