4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: multi functional server case. price. all metal. simple.

Cons: rounded the second screw :( a one pager manual would be useful

Other Thoughts: shipping cost was basically half the price of the case.

4 out of 5 eggsNO INTERNAL DRIVE BAY!!!!!

Pros: PERFECT CHEAP RACK FOR ANY USE! CAN'T GO WRONG FOR MINIMAL PC AND SERVER REQUIREMENTS. NORCO IS SENDING OUT THEIR NEW DESIGN NOT SHOWN ON NEW EGG. USB PORTS ARE FLUSH MOUNTED IN THE MIDDLE NOW WITH A BETTER LOOKING POWER BUTTON. GREAT LOOKING CASE! CASE FITS 2 STANDARD OR 3 SATA HDD'S IN THE EXTERNAL 5.25 DRIVES WITH THE BRACKETS GIVEN.

Cons: NO INTERNAL HDD BAY LIKE IT'S BIG BROTHER RPC-900. THIS WAS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME SINCE I WAS PLANNING TO USE THIS AS MY DAW (DIGITAL AUDIO WORKSTATION) USING TOTAL 3 INTERNAL SATA DRIVES AS WELL AS 1 PROGRAM DRIVE, TOTAL 4 HDD'S. ODD SHAPED 80MM FAN VENTS ON TOP OF CHASIS (NO FANS INCLUDED). NO DIAGRAM OR INSTRUCTIONS. NO INTERNAL HDD BAY FOR ADDITIONAL DRIVES!!! NO INTERNAL HDD BAY FOR ADDITIONAL DRIVES!!! NO INTERNAL HDD BAY FOR ADDITIONAL DRIVES!!!

Other Thoughts: OVERALL A SOLID VERY STURDY WELL DESIGNED RACKMOUNT CASE. IF YOU NEED TO MOUNT MORE THAN 2 HDD GET THE RPC-800, 810, 900 OR 910 MODEL FROM NORCO.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value

Pros: Solid, super-sturdy and high-quality design. Great aesthetics... a fantastic value that will keep your components cool and secure.

Cons: A slight con here... the 3.5" drive bay is unsuitable for use with a hard drive, as most motherboards are too wide - the drive will impact the motherboard. However, in fairness, the 3.5" bay was most likely designed as a floppy bay, in which case it makes perfect design sense and is therefore not a negative tally on this case.

Other Thoughts: The case is shipped with (3) sturdy 5.25" to 3.5" drive adapters.

3 out of 5 eggsRPC-600

Pros: These norco rack cases are fantastic for gaming rigs. Sturdy solid steel case with a lock and key. Theres a ton of space, and its set up for good air flow regardless of where you put it.

Cons: Unless the depth of the case is a concern, the RPC-900 is a far better buy. This case came for me with 1 120mm fan, and available spots for 1 more 120mm fan, 2 oddly shaped 80mm fans, and 2 60mm fans. By the time you purchase all of these fans, you've basically paid the cost and even more for separate shipping of what the RPC-900 would have run you. The RPC-900 comes with all of the fans minus the two 60mm fans.

Other Thoughts: This case is slightly shorter than its RPC-900 bigger brother. I've owned them both and actually ordered the RPC-600 on accident this time around, I did a dee de dee. Also be sure to verify the length of whatever power supply you buy. The deeper PSUs wont fit with the card stabilizer cross member inside the case. The newer Mushkin PSU's seem to fit just fine. This is the same for the RPC-600 as it is for the 900. I don't know if the same problem occurs in other models from Norco.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: If you're used to standard computer towers like am, this thing will seem amazing. There is tons of room compared to a standard tower, and the construction is amazing. Everything built of heavy gauge metal and it has been assembled with plenty of screws; no clipped in plastic. Everything seems very sturdy and is easy to use.

Cons: The power buttons seem cheap in comparison to the rest of the case, so leave the door closed, and the hard drive cables need to be bent quite a bit to get where they need to and still get the top back on. Also, the fans are quite loud for home use (for commercial use, I've heard a lot worse).

Other Thoughts: If you need a rack mount case for home like I did, but need it to fit a smaller rack case (21" in my situation), this is about the only case short enough to fit. Very well built. Worked well for me when I just reskinned a desktop computer. Nothing included I don't need like a power supply or drives.

A very good case for anybody looking for the most basic rack mount case available.

4 out of 5 eggsgood IPC case

Pros: Good solid case, great for rack mounting. Our use is for building industrial control PC's and these cases are pretty good compared to others I have used.

Cons: The only con we have found is the 5.5" bay will extend over the MB at the corner near the PS. If your MB has a connector there, it can be tricky to get in there. You can easily remove the bay cage and access the plugs though. You cannot put a CD drive in the bottom 5.5" bay though, it will interfere with the MB.

Other Thoughts: We will continue to buy these cases for our IPC needs. Some cases are better, some are not. These are good quality for the price and we are happy with them.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good price for such a spacious rack case. Ample hard drive mounting area, and plenty of bays for optical drives. The front bezel and door feel pretty sturdy, and the case has pretty good cooling.

Cons: Unless you have really flexible cables and connectors, it's tough to get hard drives into the internal bays. Also, be careful of the screws that hold the hard drive cage in because they will get stuck if you tighten them down too hard.

Other Thoughts: Kinda loud, but it's a server case. Also, I wish it came with the rails.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Box for the Money

Pros: This is a very nice box for the money. It has plenty of space to work, and feels very sturdy. With added cooling, it gets good airflow and keeps the air inside cool.

Cons: No diagram or manual which explains how to install extra hard drives. Also, it would have been nice to include the extra fans.. but at this price it's to be expected.

Other Thoughts: For those having issues installing the hard drive, you should use the included metal strips. Attatch them to the sides of the hard drive and it will fit into the larger bay (cd rom bay). I also recommend getting the extra fans for cooling. See the spec sheet for sizes.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Good sturdy case. A lot of reviews that I read said that it was hard to install drives. It wasn't at all. Just removed the drive bay and installing hard drives was easy. Once installed in the rack it was easy to open up and change hardware around.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGood Server Case

Pros: Heavy duty construction, well put together. No problems installing components... DE drives fir liek a charm (1 IDE HDD, one ATAPI CDROM installed)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: going to move some of our computers in more of those cases... the lockable front is the major point for me here!
