1 out of 5 eggsHooptie!

Pros: Price, Solid Build

Cons: 1)I received a different version of the case I ordered which had two less 3.5" drive slots, and different design in front.

2)No instructions whatsoever. Comes with lot of parts, but without instructions to use them, all they become are junk. Poor designs over all! No room to plug in power cable for standard PSU. No vent on case for the PSU exhaust.

3)Can't imagine what the company's customer service is like, so I didn't even waste my time.

Other Thoughts: Birdman it. Quickly sold on craigslist for $60.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Easy to work with, priced right, minimal hassle with the build. If you don't need a backplane, this is your 2U case. I've moved my Media Center machine over from an RPC-230 and was stunned at both how easy the build was as well as the improvement in temps. Fans are relatively quiet and move a good amount of air. Fits snugly in my 25U StarTech rack adjusted to a depth of 27", on Norco's RL-20 rails.

Cons: No instructions, but this case is easy enough to get around. Two screws hold down the drive cages, and 3 keep the power supply bracket in place. I didn't try to fit a 2U power supply, since the ATX one I had fit just fine.

Other Thoughts: Since compatible power supply info seems to be scarce: the Antec EarthWatts 380W power supply fits just fine, and its cables are plenty long to reach a MicroATX board as well as both 3.5" drive cages. The included fans are also reasonably easy to remove and replace.

3 out of 5 eggsOK case

Pros: low cost , will work good. Can install lots of hard disks to install.

Cons: You have to open too many case parts to install power supply. That is really pain in the neck. They should make changes to design to make it easy to install power supply box.

2 out of 5 eggsNot the same case

Pros: I could probably park my car in it. This thing is huge.

Cons: The case pictured isn't the one I got. The one I got has two 5.25 external drive bays and no 3.5 floppy slot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat server chassis

Pros: Includes lots of extra screws / parts, plenty of space for 6 hard drives, solid design, didn't cut myself on any sharp corners.

Cons: More of an annoyance rather than a con, and not due to the case in any way. The 8-pin motherboard power cable from my PSU was too short to fit around and through the guide holes in the case, so I had to remove one of the internal fans and cut through the grill to reach the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Great case for the price with plenty of room.

4 out of 5 eggsInexpensive, Decent Case

Pros: Easy to setup, uses standard ATX power supply, relatively lightweight but sturdy, easily holds newer ATX boards (we have ASUS 990x's in these) with plenty of clearance and no heat problems.

Cons: Finding rails that fit this case has been, and is continuing to be a nightmare. We've gone though about 10 different sets of rails. Even the Norco manufactured rails do not fit a standard 19" rack, the case with rails attached is too wide to fit by about 1/4 - 1/2 inch. The only set of rails so far that has been promising at all has been a set of Chembro's that Newegg discontinued so back to square one. The problem with most rails and this box is the rail mount points on the box are too low. If you look at the side pictures you'll notice the screw points are towards the bottom of the box. This makes it impossible to stack these and you wind up losing about 1 U of space per box because the only rails that seem to fit properly sit about 1/8-1/4 of an inch below the box itself. If this we're not such a problem, I'd probably have 20 of these cases in my rack.

Other Thoughts: I'll be continuing my search for a good set of rails to go with this box. Once that problem is resolved I won't have any grievances with these cases.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid case and fantastically inexpensive

Pros: It's roomy, big enough for a full ATX board, and has room for plenty of fans to push air through.

Cons: Installation is a bit tricky.
- At the front, the drive bays have to come out and go back in in a specific order.
- In the middle, replacing the fans means disassembling the entire, 2-part, fan bracket.

Mine came covered, top and bottom, in a sticky, protective film. In and of itself, not a con, but whatever glue they used held on way too well. It was a pain to remove.

Other Thoughts: For the price, you simply can't beat it.

- I knocked off an egg because installation IS a bit tricky, and even a simple sheet outlining how to remove the front drive bays would go a long way toward mitigating that.

- Other people have complained about the sharp edges on these cases. To my detriment, I ignored their warnings after installing an RPC-450B with no loss of blood. No serious injuries occurred, but be careful all the same.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It does what I need it to do.
Great Price.

Cons: Standard 2U power supply does not fit in the product as shipped.

Other Thoughts: Was able to contact the company with ease and get a swift reply. They sent me the back window that fits the 2U power supply for free without hesitation. The con above is only for the slight annoyance of having to wait, but all in all the product is exactly what I needed for my setup.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent price for..

Something you don't have to look at

The 4 fans push some decent air but they are centered so HD cooling is something you need to be creative with as the stock HD mounts are left side and front right where the fans are centered...

The power and reset you can hear and feel em click witch is good

Cons: Power supply mount is tied in with the rest of the front right side so to swap it your gonna have to take some time and remove the whole front. Makes swapping it a overall pain

Nothing on this thing is hotswapable but for something that is not gonna change offten or even yearly its a recomended buy. However if you do plan on upgrades accessing this thing is gonna cost ya via "remote hands" fee of the hourly cost as how the case was designed. Was not quick access thought though

Alittle heavy so ur gonna spend a little more shipping/driving this guys

Other Thoughts: My PSU I had required a 4pin extender casue it was 1" away.

Mind ya I wish they where a tadd lighter so shipping would be less :)

Other then that. I plan on buying 3 more as they do what ya need em to do without the heavy price..

5 out of 5 eggs2U Bargain

Pros: Excellent case for the money. Love the interior fans and overall internal setup. Some issues do arrise during build that require some screw removal. We have been able to get our build times with this particular case down to 20 minutes from "package to power." Never used another case as of yet so am partial to this case from experience. SCREW removal is the only issue, but is needed for a proper build.

Cons: Prepare to remove screws to complete your build if you need all the PCI slots on your MOBO, especially if you are using i7-Platform. Last PCI slot requires disassembling the case to remove the head screw.

Other Thoughts: Mind you card PCI card sizes in this case. Will not be able to accomodate full size PCI cards at all. Will handle traditional PSU of all makes. PSU requires front panel removal, which means more screws to remove and replace when install is finished. NIC LED wires require special NIC card that can populate LED lights that come with the case. Front USB requires you to track down mobo pin placement of USB which is standard but still perplexing to figure out the first time. No complaints except for perhaps the tight fit of the Hard Drive anchor screw. This is not a huge negative but a design flaw. Case is only able to handle OEM CPU fan. If you want to go aftermarket cooling beware of size limitations. We use these for our WhiteBox builds and are pleased with NORCO.
