5 out of 5 eggsStrong and well made for a great price

Pros: This case is very well made for a great price.

I've got an icydock mb975sp in the middle 5.25" bays with 3 backup drives as well as 4 primary storage drives in the outer bays. All of these drives run between 33-35 degrees which is excellent.

There's plenty of room to work in the case and while there isn't a lot of cable management there's plenty of space that with a few zip ties you can make the wiring look decent.

Cons: Some of the screws seem a little small to hold it together (especially the top), but I haven't had any problems with any of them!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This is a great case if you want to throw a lot of drives into a server. I have 10 drives in my server right now and the fans built-in are good enough to keep the operation temperatures reasonable. I like that it locks, and it's a sleek look.

Cons: The cable management isn't bad by any means, but I do wish some of the holes between the drive bays and the motherboard were laid out a little differently. some cables have a hard time reaching.

5 out of 5 eggsFreaking Awesome for 80 bucks

Pros: A) its 80 bucks.... be i always read the bad reviews 1st i read them and figured since i was going to heavly mod this case meh the rough edges were fixable, i bought this after searching for months for the perfect htpc case, but runnin full atx and LC was pretty much a no go or 3 times this price, and i was blow away with how nicely this case is build, it is what it is a cheap server case, but its well made no sharp edges ( i have taken this case completely apart to sound proof it and do some fab work, this case is a tank, the finish on the outside is a little thin but its an 80 buck case its huge inside with tons of storage options. idk for 80 bucks and some creativity this is a great starting point for some fun builds fyi every thing comes part easily with a screw driver and some care, all the holes are nicely tapped edges clean reassembly is a breeze and goes back together flawlessly. the money i saved on this case made my build budget S.O. invisible, minus the deliveries.

Cons: 80mm rear fans thats it.

Other Thoughts: ill add more as the build progress`s

2 out of 5 eggsNo good for EEB

Pros: Fan Wall

Cons: Fan Wall has to be removed for EEB board.... ridiculous. This product should not state that it supports EEB.

Other Thoughts: I should have read more reviews to see if it would actually fit my board instead of just looking at the specs

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: - Cheap
- Roomy
- Not super-heavy
- Cheap

I have two of these sitting in a rack next to my desk and really have no substantive complaints on a day-to-day basis.
For the price, it does what it says it'll do

Cons: - Cheap
- Stock fans are loud
- Sharp edges

As other people have noted, the build quality isn't on par with, say, Antec.
But, let's be fair. For $85, you're a fool if that's what you're expecting.
As others have noted, the latches for the lid are flimsy and will start to stick/bind - I had to jam a screw driver into my case to open it the second time. (I've since bent the bracket so it works reasonably well)
There's not a great deal of noise insulation, so new fans are definitely worth it if you sit anywhere near one of these on a regular bases.
Also be aware that almost none of the metal edges are smoothed/rolled, so watch your fingers.

Other Thoughts: The case is roomy and does what it needs to.
Once everything's in place and the lid is closed this case looks as slick as anything else on my rack and costs less than most of its counterparts.

Sure, I'll replace it when I win the lottery, but until then it'll do me just fine.

2 out of 5 eggsWon't "support" EEB format

Pros: Nice construction, solid feel.

Cons: Says it "Supports EEB" - you have to pull out the middle fan group and there are NO supports for the back 20% of the motherboard.

Also - the case did not come with the 2 120mm fans. I can't see how you can turn the 3.5" mounts around to external and also use the fans - where would the wires route?

Other Thoughts: If you have an EEB motherboard, order the 470. And when they remove from the specs that this case supports EEB I'll move my rating up to 4 or 5 stars (for the price) . . .

1 out of 5 eggsNo, this isn't the case you are looking for.

Pros: None - it isn't what I ordered

Cons: The box it arrived in clearly states RPC-450B, but the case itself is not that case. Clearly Norco stuffed the wrong case in the box.

I've started the RMA process with NewEgg, but basically am now another 2 weeks out from getting this system together. Very frustrating. Not sure I can trust Norco moving forward . . .

3 out of 5 eggsReview

Pros: it is a very, very heavy-duty case.

Cons: front fans are kind of loud....

Other Thoughts: well the thing is...after running my PC hardware in this case for less than 15 minutes, the gray case cable melted. why? i have no idea. that was the gray cable with label "DATA, GROUND". why did it melt? i dont know. for whatever reason front USB port doesnt work. NORCO, HELLO!!????

after this incident i emailed Norco asking what to do and how replace melted wiring - no answer so far.

my PC works fine without broken (?) USB port and melted wire, but who knows what's gonna happen next, right?

1 out of 5 eggsJunk product from a junk company

Pros: Not much; can accommodate a standard PSU

Cons: This case has 2 tabs on the top access panel that must be pressed to allow the top to slide off. Worked the first time, gets stuck after that. Got an e-mail with a picture from their support guy (yes, 1 guy) telling me that I have to bend it back with a screwdriver. Really? Am I pop-starting the clutch on a 78 Vega here or what? They would not acknowledge it as a defect and said that I could ship it back and they would 'repair' it, but would not replace it. Sure, I'll spend $30 to ship you an $80 case that you made poorly. On second thought, I'll just buy the Rosewill RSV-L4000, which I did, and it's a FAR superior case. Also, with the front panel lock closed, I pulled the front panel open with my bare hands. Complete junk, and no support for the product. Don't waste your time or money. Lots of sharp edges, only 2 included fans.

Other Thoughts: I had to get the tech to "escalate" my issue to someone before he would even consider letting me ship the case back at my expense for something that was clearly a defect. I'd call Newegg and ask them to take it back, but I don't have the box or anything, and why should Newegg eat the money because someone else made a cr4p product?

Also, I lost the key. The guy told me I could buy one for "only $1", and gave me a URL. The cheapest shipping option was UPS ground for $9. Sure, I'll pay $10 for a 2 cent key - not. It's too much to ask for you to put it in an envelope and mail it to me for 50 cents after I've wasted $80 on your junk case? Folks, there is competition out there, and clearly these people don't realize it. Make the better choice by going with the Rosewill product.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid case at an unbeatable price

Pros: The case is solidly built and incredibly inexpensive.
There is plenty of room for fans, drives, and expansion options; The two front 120mm fan bays can be replaced with Norco's 5-disc, hot-swap HDD bays.

Cons: Installation wasn't the most intuitive thing in the world, but not exactly rocket science either. If you take your time, it's no big deal.

Other Thoughts: Some people have complained that the front cover doesn't stay closed without the key, which is true; removing the front cover entirely is trivial, and the case isn't ugly without it.
Definitely get it WITH rails, and rack it right the first time. I've got mine mounted straight to the rack at the moment, and absolutely dread having to take it down next time the hardware changes. It's not as heavy as an Antec or Supermicro, but it's heavy enough!

Already have plans to buy another one of these.
