2 out of 5 eggsWorks OK

Pros: This case can support up to five drives which is nice. It holds computer parts. Good responsive support.

Cons: The layout of the case is not my favorite. The screws are soft and very small. Thanks to Mike at Norco for sending me new screws free. They don't have replacement screws for the handles so be careful. Front panel blocks air flow. I also had a hard time getting it into my rack. I had to mod the rails so after buying two sets to get it to slide all the way in. According to norco it is the standard size. I have three Dell servers, asus server, Linksys switch, promise DAS and two APC batter backups that didn't have any issues, but who's counting. I think the handles are causing the problem with the width.

Other Thoughts: I ran this for a while with the fans blowing air out the front instead of blowing air in. That's the only way I could keep it cool. After the fans failed for the second time, I took the whole front face off and left it off because it blocks so much air no matter how you point the fans. It may have been causing premature fan failure. I think I'll find a better solution in the future. Again I would like to mention that Norco was quick to respond and send me new screws. This was very helpful.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice design. Good air flow.

Cons: Would not allow a Seagate 4TB hard drive to slide in the bays. I was scraping paint trying to slide it in.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid case. Good design for airflow.

Cons: There are a few things to know about this case: The first is that it will take an ATX PSU but just barely. Antec Earthwatts 380 fits snugly. An adapter plate for smaller PSU's would be a great addition to this case. Also the PSU should have airflow from front (where the wires come out) to the back. The second is that the fans are loud - not an issue of course in datacenters or enclosures. I don't have either of those two things so I put in a pair of 80mm rubber dampeners on each and that has made it a little quieter. Finally the recommended rail kit for this chassis mounts ... oddly. With the amount of holes in the side of the case it seems weird that only 1 is used for screwing in the rail to the side (the front of the case has a tab which stabilizes the rail).

Other Thoughts: The rail kit is really the only reason I wouldn't give the case 5 eggs. Other than that it's a solid case and great for specialized server roles that can make use of a microATX board.
