Before they left, the denizens of Atlantis gave the engineers at Sigma the keys to case design. The Atlantis series of cases honors those teachings while meeting the needs of today's users. This mid tower chassis has plenty of features designed to make initial setup and future upgrades easy and convenient.

Getting into the case is simple; both side panels have quick release latches eliminating the need for a screwdriver. Hard drive installation is a snap with a four drive cage that rotates so you can slide them right in. It also has one of the four 120mm fans in the chassis to keep the drives cool. There are also 6 (two 3.5" and four 5.25") external bays. All of the drive bays have rubber vibration damping strips to minimize noise. Two 120mm fans on the side panel and one on the back give your system maximum airflow to keep it cool.

  • newegg Aluminum Case With a full aluminum construction, the Sigma Atlantis reaches the balance between chassis stiffness and heat dissipation.
  • newegg Superior Expandability with 10 Drive Bays Featuring four 5.25" external drive bays, and six 3.5" drive bays (two external and four internal), the Sigma Atlantis provides superior expandability.

5 out of 5 eggsVery solid case

Pros: I've had this case for just over a year and a half. It's very quiet and very durable. The fans have held up nicely. The drive bays were easy to work with. The screwless side case panel opens rather easily. I really appreciate the front swing door being made very well (I expected it to be poor quality, but it wasn't). Nothing in the case feels cheap at all.

Cons: Like others have said, the front LED is way too bright. I have just covered mine with a label in order to dim it. That is the only problem I've had with this case, and it's really no big deal, so I still gave the case 5 stars. However, they should consider this issue with future case designs.

Other Thoughts: I've recently had to work inside this case this week as my motherboard is dying and I have to replace it. It reminds me how great the case is, which is why I'm writing this review. I'm going to build a second computer soon, and I will guy another Sigma case (as well as sigma power supply...probably SP-635 like this one uses).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Great case, keeps all components cool. I run a large MSI board, with 2 large graphics cards, 4 Sata drives, DVD, and a 750w power supply and still have low temps on all major components. I have the Zalman 100mm cpu cooling fan and it still has plenty of room inside. The rotating drive bay is very nice. I had no problem with screws or foam like mentioned in the other reviews.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: USB ports facing forward allow for easy access. Front door is also aluminum, much better than the plastic of most cases. I added two additional fans in the front to ensure HDD's have plenty of air.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Beautifull case, solid construction, aluminum front door, cool understated red led's on front and rear fans. Not too much "bling". Rotating 3.5 HDD bay makes changing HDD's easy. It's a very quiet case, even with my loud MB chipset fan. All my components fit very nicely, with room to spare. Extra room made neat wiring much easier. METAL BAY COVERS! I've NEVER seen bay covers made of aluminum and painted to match the case before; Very awesome perk.

Cons: The Power LED is super bright green, which doesn't match up with the very understated fan LED's. I have to find a way to dim that sucker. The black case is $30 more than the silver or blue. Overall price is too high, but hey I still bought the thing because it's that cool.

Other Thoughts: My SATA DVD burner did stick out about a 1/4" from flush, but this isn't a problem because you can't see it with the door shut, anyway. If you have to have it flush, you can modify the front holes some or just use the rear holes only. The padding can also be compressed to allow the DVD face plate to seat flush with the case front. My current setup: MSI P6N MB, C2D E6700 O/C 3.3GHz, 2GB G.Skill 800Mhz OC to ~888, 2*500GB Seagate 7200 (Hardware Raid 0), XFX 8800 GTS XXX 640, XClio 650w modular P/S.

3 out of 5 eggsEh - little pricey for what you get

Pros: Quick release open/close side panels a good idea. Isn't very heavy. 3.5" drive hangar looks like it might be pretty intense. Case fans seem pretty quiet.

Cons: Everything poorly executed. The rubber padding around the 5.25" drive bays and the location of the screw holes make the DVD drive stick out too far. Motherboard tray is not removable - but maybe those are a rarity these days. Screws for expansion card slots are a real pain.

Other Thoughts: I am probably way too picky.
