Sometimes, even in a world of ever smaller components, size does matter. If your workhorse computer needs to be a Clydesdale, then one of those Shetland pony mid-sized towers just won't do, and Gigabyte knows that.
Three self-illuminated fans (one 120mm front panel and two 120mm rear panel) help keep it cool, as do the interchangeable transparent acrylic/steel mesh ventilation side panels. And everything is designed to make assembly faster and easier for your technical staff (or you, if you build your own): one-touch lockable latch on the detachable side panel, tool-less device assembly, seven hassle-free expansion slots, and front and side panel locks offer physical security. Compatible with ATX and microATX motherboards, with plenty of drive space. It's pre-modified to allow you to upgrade to liquid cooling, too.
Got some heavy-duty work ahead of you? Then maybe this heavy-duty workhorse is what you need. Check it out for yourself!

Best Chassis I've ever used
- Pros: If you're considering ANY other chassis for your PC, disregard it now and buy this one. This chassis is amazing. The beautiful brushed-aluminum finish is looks very sharp, and it's extremely durable. The front door is made out of thicker, heavier metal. This thing will not damage easily. Fingerprints show up rather easily, but Gigabyte includes a microfiber cloth for taking care of these. The internals are massive. There is so much room in this case - more than any case I've ever seen outside a server box. It supports ATX, MicroATX, Express ATX, and other types that are rarely ever heard of. There is a corner bracket mounted on the inside of the lower left corner for added stability in the weakest point. The 3 fans push lots of air, yet NEVER become too noisy. Tool-less mounting systems are wonderful and easy. Toolbox is a nice bonus. Mesh window is very attractive and helps air flow. Comes with lots of extra accessories. Hidden clamps make for easy cable dressing.
- Cons: Expensive, and doesn't include a PSU. But it will last you for years as long as mobo mounting standards don't change. Also, the power button on the front doesn't feel nearly as quality as the rest of the chassis, it feels kind of wobbily.
- Other Thoughts: 6 out of 5 stars, this chassis is simply incredible. It's the Aston Martin of PC chassis.
Just shy of greatness :-)
- Pros: Ordered this case after reading very positive customer and industry reviews.
Toolless design for expansion cards, HDDs actually work - unlike some "toolless" cases I've worked with in the past. Includes both a clear acrylic window and aluminum mesh side panel - chose whichever you like - you're not tied to one style (Why don't other case makers do this?) Pre-cut/rubber-lined holes for H20 cooling tubes Front mounted fan pulls cool air over the HDD rack and has a removable dust filter. 3 Large/quite 120mm LED case fans Internal storage bin for tools/cables/whatever Rock solid and sturdy...very little plastic. Cool and customizable LED projection Wide swing out feet give great stability/traction
- Cons: You would think that with the solid window installed in the side panel, that optimum air, flow front to back, would be created. But for some unknown reason, all device temps read about 20c higher with the solid side, and 10 to 15c higher with the mesh screen. I kept my rig running and took off the panel to see if I could feel the direction of the air flow and then noticed an immediate drop in temps. I hadn't even attempted to OC any of my components and was only reading temps for a base to measure against - for when I did try to goose the system. I even installed a Zalman 9700 heat sink/fan and temps were still pretty hot. I still can't explain the heat build up and have resigned to just leave the side off.
No front E-SATA hook up, but there's Fire wire (go figure) I really love the case, but the heat buildup is baffling. I had planned on going to a H20 set up later so I'm not totally put out.
- Other Thoughts: My system:

Awesome with slight modifications
- Pros: Excellent case with a good study front door. The case is indeed massive, which I enjoy the most as it allows a great deal of handiwork to be done inside if need be without feeling cramped. Make sure to utilize the holes in the backplate near the motherboard for your wire management as it will lower your temps.
- Cons: As others have mentioned, the supplied fans are very weak, and oddly there's really no additional places for fans...the three spots are really all you get for this massive case. Luckily however, due to it's sheer size with about 10 bucks and a little ingenuity you can get a significant performance increase. More on that below.
- Other Thoughts: If you want to increase your air flow but don't want to cast away the low RPM LED fans that came with the case, you can do what I did. First I removed the toolbox. Then I snagged 2 Yate Loon High Speed fans ($3.99) and some industrial grade velcro strips with a sticky back. I put 1 fan on the inside grill near the HD area with the velcro (where the big vent holes are) helping to move air brought in by the front fan. Immediately this dropped my CPU temps by 3c and my GPU temps by an impressive 8-10c. I drilled several small holes (neatly in a pattern) through the clear plexi window and put a second intake fan right there on the inside, dropping the CPU temp by another 2c and the GPU temp by another 5c. Note: You don't have to drill the plexi like I did, you could just install the fan on the mesh side panel, but I like using the plexi as it's easier to see the insides and it lets less dust in.
very good case
- Pros: pretty roomy for your drives, easy install, good cooling copaciy with room for liquid cooling is a bonus.
- Cons: the bracket with the box to hold the cables in is a little bit in the way, especially if you are using a gtx 200 series gpu. Very tight squeeze to get my 285 into the PCIe slot on my asus p6t.
- Other Thoughts: some people think its flimsy but i don't if you managed to dent this case then you are abusing it and need to take better care of your belongings.
great case, bad newegg
- Pros: Huge.. more then enough room to put anything. light so it doesnt break your back on the rare times you have to move it aside. clean sleek look.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: using it to house:
ASUS M4A78-E MB Coolmax 700W PS AMD 9850 quad core 8G OCZ DDR2 10666 250G WD HD Zalman 9700 heatsink Windows Vista premium 64bit 2x Nvidia XFX 9800GTX. 3x Asus 23.6" monitor 5ms, full HDMI I loved this case on Newegg, to bad they wanted 60 to ship to a APO. I went out locally and got for 45BD (119.37USD) and didnt have to wait 2 weeks. Shame on Newegg for inflating there shipping cost, but in the long run it saved me 50.00 not counting the wait. I bought all but the case and vid cards from newegg, after seeing local prices and the 300% raise in shipping cost newegg charged, i think im going to quit doing business with them, i'm sorry to say. still it is a AWSOME case
