5 out of 5 eggsNice Case!

Pros: Has 3.0 Ports on the Front that are wonderful, Big Fan on the top keeps it very cool it removes a lot of heat. The ability to add two more fans on the side of the case.

Cons: Big Graphics cards might not be able to fit with hard drives in the same area.

1 out of 5 eggsoverpriced junk

Pros: case looks cool
fans are quiet

Cons: 4 pin connectors on fans
drive clips suck...threw them away
rivets missing
pre-drilled holes for motherboard mounts were off and motherboard was pushed against back to get screws in
Cheap sheet metal

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte may make great motherboards but this case is cheaply made...not worth what I paid for it

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Buttons easily accessible, options for fan add-ons, Built in fans are quiet with ability to turn them off from the button on the front grille. Wide space under where the CPU is to make upgrade of cooler easier.

Cons: Plastic feels a little cheap, but metal inside is pretty good. The drive holders are a bit tricky and cheap. Once you snap out a back plate, its out. Be warned. only one spot for a disc drive, but some people will not mind that

Other Thoughts: This is a good little case for a budget build with a few options for upgrades. Like I said, once the expansion ports are popped out, they are out so be careful with what you take out.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Case comes with a good amount of fans for cooling plus enough room to add two more 12cm fans on the side. It has a lot of room to work with inside and the top tray is a nice little feature.

Cons: The pre-drilled holes for the motherboard mounts were off a bit and the motherboard had to be pushed tight against the back in order to get the screws in. Not a big deal but it cost an egg from me.

Other Thoughts: Over-all the case is nice and well worth the price, just be prepared to wiggle motherboards around to get the screws in place.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case with a few shortcomings

Pros: No sharp edges, easy board install, lots of internal bays, lots of fans.

Cons: DVD drive door can be tricky to align, lack of supplied toolless fasteners. Can't see power/reset/LEDs if placed on the floor (functions should be on the top of the case)

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a server case and to house a Micro ATX board and 4 internal drives plus a DVD. I wanted a case with a lot of fans to keep everything cool.

The first thing I noticed was that there were 1 set of fasteners for the DVD drive, and only 2 sets for the 3.5" internal drives- despite the several other bays that could be used (as I recall, there are 7 of the 3.5" bays). I ended up using screws to mount the other drives.

The DVD mounting has been discussed here. I had no problem pulling the front panel, but found the flip-down door used a pass-through feature for the button to open the drive tray. If not properly aligned, it won't work. If your drive has a button anywhere other than the lower right (as you look at the drive) it won't work. The toolless fasteners allow for 1 of 2 mounting locations, and neither was close enough to fit, so I used mounting screws there as well.

The placement of the power & reset switches and the LEDs midway up the case means you can't see them when you are seated at a desk with the case on the floor. Most other mid tower cases I've used have them at the top.

Deducted 1 egg due to all of the above.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good looking plastic front/top panel and nice grille. Very good quiet circulations. No more dealing with heat buildup on the top.

Cons: Does not put my computer together for me.

Other Thoughts: For those having a hard time installing DVD-rom, you must install it by removing the front panel carefully. Remove the GREEN CLIPS(2) then SLIDE the Dvd-rom from the outside-front of the case. will not work installing from inside the motherboard area.

Also the cables/wires that goes thru the drive bay area can be re-routed to the side around it(there's a wide enough hole for it) after you remove the front panel.

This case will fit nicely with a Hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler but (1) 120mm fan can only be installed on the side panel. Side panel has (2) optional 120mm fans. Add that other 120mm fan to your Hyper 212 for push/pull, works great.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet, easy to install

Pros: I used to buy only the cheapest cases, and investing more in this one was worth it - lots of quiet fans, not full of sharp edges inside, installing the PC components was easier than ever.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: A good buy

1 out of 5 eggsStill can not get the DVD drive in!!!!!!!

Pros: overall nice looking.

I like the bezel that hides the DVD drive to keep the front look uniform.

Cons: Still can not get the DVD drive in!!!!!!!

NO MANUAL!
NO MANUAL!
NO MANUAL!
NO MANUAL!
NO MANUAL!
NO MANUAL!

Other Thoughts: 1 ) Google the model and go the model webpage on gigabyte's website .... there is absolutely no manual for this thing!

2) I had a case before that hides the DVD drive but the front cover which hides the fans and dvd drives can be removed in the previous cases I worked on. On this case you can not remove the cover. This makes installing the DVD drive painful.

I built computers before and that usually takes me 40-45 minutes. I spent an hour till now just trying to get the the DVD drive in.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer:

Thank you for your business with Gigabyte Technologies. We suggest you to:
1. Remove the metal side panel
2. remove the front panel
3. remove the tooless clip
4. place the 5.25” DVD CD-ROM drive into the 1st slot position of CASE.
5. Install the front panel
6. adjust the front and back distance of DVD CD-ROM drive that are already installed, make sure that flapper can reach drive button, then put the tooless clip back.
We apologize for the inconvenient.

Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The case is good and stout. This is my first computer build but I do like the case. Not many $70.00 cases come with USB 3.0 ports in the front which come in handy and I love the tray on top for throwing thumb drives in. I have plenty of air flow through the case.

Cons: Optic drive is a pain to install, but how often are you swapping it out. The plastic optic drive quick clips didn't work so I just used screws no big deal it will be there till it burns out.

Other Thoughts: I'm building another computer for my employee and I'll be using this case.
