4 out of 5 eggslittle cramped but everything fits

Pros: Rebates are nice - wait for a rebate if you can, free upgrades are nice.
every thing fits (below) except 1 thing (cons)
even was able to add a second 120mm front fan with the way the 5.25 bay covers are made with little grooves just the right size for a fan screw
front USB are always nice, and the more the better
side windows are easily removed (or half removed) thanks to the push pin style screws, making mounting things (fans) on the outside of the computer and routing the cables in to the case.
the fan controller is nice can power 2 of the zalman fans just nicely and provides a flexible connector for the 2 fans on the door for easy removal and and insertion with out having to mess with the Mobo fans.

most of what i have to say is negative, but please do not take this as this is a bad case, this is a great case and i will be keeping it for a long time. Until i get rich with all the moneys and #dolladollabills and can get a giant case.

reset button is easy to push but NOT easy to accidentally push, you have to mean it. which is nice.

air flow is nice and the side fans will be nice to help push air in between multiple GPUs is you do get more than one, if you only plan on getting one GPU get a case that doesn't have the side fans and get a full window enjoy your creation.

Cons: my first complaint is that i contacted the Zalman Email Support BEFORE I PURCHASED this case to make sure it would work with my heatsink i have purchased for the build a Zalman CNPS10x Quiet tower heatsink. support said that i could have the big tower HS and the top 120mm side fan on the inside of the case. so i purchase this case instead of a Zalman Z5 or Z9u3 (with out side fans), get the heastink and the side of the case barely fits and the heatpipes are up inside the 120mm fan and also keeping the side door from fitting. the fix was easy thanks to how Zalman made the windows so i currently have 1 fan mounted on the outside of the case with the power wire running through the window.

could use a little more room behind the motherboard, everything back there is cramped . and when you have all five 3.5" bays full makes it hard to place useless molex connectors.

no bottom mounted PSU air filter, the fan at the bottom next to the PSU has a filter, there is mounting places for the filter just not supplied. Also could not find it on their website. so the PSU has the fan inside the case.

side area is almost full mesh and lets cat hair in, had to add another 120MM fan intake to pressurize the case more and keep cat hair out

power button is on the top where cat can turn on the computer

came with 3x blue fans and 1 bland B+W fan why? idk

Other Thoughts: my build
FX8350 with Zalman CNPS 10x Quiet (w/ CM Silkflow Blue 2k)
Asus M5A99FX Pro R2
2x 4GB GSkill 1333 MHz
Sapphire HD7870 2GB
Corsair CX600
PNY 120GB (in a 3.5" adapter)
Hitachi 2.5" 5.2k 320GB (in a 3.5 adapter)
3x WD RE4-GP Enterprise 2TB drives (in a software mirror) (right angle Sata are a must for full size 3.5" drives like these)

5x 120mm Fans Intake (2 front, 1 bottom, 2 side [1 out side])
4x 120mm Fan out (2x top, 1 back, 1 PSU)

i have cats so all the intakes are filtered

5 out of 5 eggsSecond time doing this review

Pros: 1. Still one of the best in its price range and even better than some higher priced ones.
2. Sufficient ventilation for fans. You can add a lot of led fans in there to make it look amazing.
3. Despite having been released for a while, it's still the best looking Zalman case.

Cons: 1. I've purchased a lot of Zalman products and I never had to complain about a single product, but when I did email them to ask a question, even after a week I got no response. They should work on improving their customer service. Their U.S. phone # disappeared too o.O;;
2.This Z9 Plus kinda needs an update such as a USB 3.0
3. I don't need three 5.25" drive bays. A smaller micro ATX version of this would be so cool and probably be the best mATX case ever. Only a day dream.

Other Thoughts: Once Zalman H1 case comes to the U.S. this will probably be obsolete, but who knows when that will be. Zalman fans should definitely go check that out.

With that said, while I still have this case I also went ahead and purchased the Corsair 550d, NZXT Guardian 921, Bitfenix Prodigy M and Prodigy ITX cases. Corsair 550d is a lot more expensive, but as far as quality I love the Z9 Plus just as much. While the 550d has better cable management, the Z9 looks a whole lot better(like its in another league). Can't even compare to the NZXT Guardian 921. Hands down, Z9 is still my favorite case.

5 out of 5 eggsZalman Z9 Case

Pros: This case is quiet a great case as it has good air flow the design is quite nice there is an option to mount SSD drive behind motherboard an it has a nice cut out at the back as well. case comes with rubber washers to prevent HDD vibration as well for the PSU over all it's a good buy.

Cons: Well some of the fans are pretty loud so consider changing them to a fan of your choice or get some rubber fan silencers if you want a quiet system

4 out of 5 eggsLove it.

Pros: Solid case, it has a lot of fans, easy access with both sides opening.
Goody bag had a lot of goodies, after I got it (see thoughts). Bottom PSU. Lots of USB ports.
Temperature on front in easy to read red LCD which, in my opinion enhances the look, fan control.
Extremely good looking.

Cons: Can't cover the expansion card back covers after you pull out the tabs.

Other Thoughts: Box arrived without goody bag (the bag with screws, HDD rubbers, etc. I sent an email to Zalman, and received a new one in a week. Everything went together perfectly afterward.
The metal isn't as thick as it was on my room mate's $200 Corsair, however, I didn't pay $200 for it, so, no harm. Been using for a year with no problems. BTW, RT*M alert. The thing I have been seeing about the power wire from front cover to the case not being plugged in, and nothing said about it? It is in the manual.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Case For The Price

Pros: Pretty good case, I used it for my second build I did over the summer and it turned out pretty good. Fans are very noisy but they get the job done. Case is made out of somewhat flimsy metal and plastic but for the most part it is pretty solid. If you plan on using this for gaming I would advise you to add a few more 120mm fans to the case to improve cooling. Other than that, it is an overall decent case.

Cons: The only thing that I found to be a real pain is that in order to install a hard drive or a DVD drive, you literally have to screw in about 20 screws which is pretty annoying. Also on the back where your graphics card sticks out you have to keep bending the metal until it finally breaks off so that you can fit your graphics card which looks pretty ghetto. Those are the only two reasons why I took off an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsVERY NICE

Pros: Very nice looking case and comes with three fans pre- installed. Plenty of space to fit anything you need and adequate cable management solutions.

Cons: Only drawback would be that the drive bays don't have tool less installation but hey it's well worth the $55 that I paid for it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: AMAZING airflow, temp sensor is amazing, i love the window, it shows everything you would want it to. came with great installation instructions, and building my first computer in it was very easy :D

Cons: the fans are VERY LOUD, but i have a headset so i dont notice, so i wont dock an egg. the fan controller is seemingly useless, as the case has 4+ fans, the the controller only controls 2. those fans are extremely hard to screw and unscrew. i finally just attached the fans using twist ties. i would have liked just a couple extra cable management holes and a couple extra mm of space for the cables themselves.

Other Thoughts: not a bad case, but if your budget allows, get a better one :D

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: It's a case. It's loaded with features and little things that make it incredibly nice. It's a flimsier metal but sturdy and reliable. You can't beat it for 60$, don't compare it to a 200$ case.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for Buck Part 2

Pros: this is an edit on my first review under this one. I fiugured out that i can plug in 2 of the case fans to the psu using this case this allows it to be controlled by the fan controller. My mobo now supports 5 case fans. I am getting 26-28C idle and 37C max on load this is still with stock cooler. Buy this case

Cons: Non since i finnaly found a good spot for my fx sticker

Other Thoughts: Read Old review
