4 out of 5 eggsmy wife said how much?????

Pros: Great build quality. Touchscreen works well once you get it configured correctly .
Alot of room. Fans are quiet. I could care less about it not being toolless They include a screwdriver .
plenty of room for lite-on blu ray burner.
And looks great.

Cons: documentation is out of date you have to go online
to make sense of some things. Needs 3.0 usb . It
uses 1, 2.0 for touchscreen and 1 for the card reader that leaves the usb on the front or card reader dead. VGA cable takes up 1 pci slot bracket keep that in mind. Price didn't bother until , it was delivered on thursday and that weekend Newegg knocked 20% off all htpc cases. Oh so much for timing.

Other Thoughts: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz
LITE-ON Black 12X Blu-ray Burner with Blu Ray 3D

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The front LCD is awesome, and makes it much easier to work with when you pull it out of the entertainment center. It looks great next to my receiver and other electronics. All of the components are very easy to reach once the case is opened.

Cons: The case killed my motherboard (more on that later). The LCD cable is a little short. The front panel buttons don't do anything. You need a rather short DVD drive to fit in the optical area. I never managed to get much use out of the built in IR port.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this case for almost 2 years now with very few, very minor complaints. Until last night. I went to turn on the computer and I got a static discharge from the power button. That static discharge killed my motherboard, and now I have a hard time considering using this system when I know I could kill another computer just as easily. If you always discharge the electricity on the case before turning it on, or don't have problems with static electricity then this is the case for you, but I won't be taking any chances again with another system.

4 out of 5 eggsClarification

Pros: It's sweet; it has it's quirks but not unsurmountable. i wrote my review on the silver color one so I wont repeat everything. See my "Other thoughts"

Cons: See my review on the silver color unit.

Other Thoughts: Yes the ODD is an issue and my old school Sony IDE jobber wouldn't work but my new Samsung one slides right in. There is another review which explains how to do a cable hack to make other ones work. Also Moneual stopped shipping this with a keyboard quite a while ago so neither Newegg nor any of Moneual's current litterature says that it comes with one so dont expect a keyboard. The vga cable for the LCD does "look short" but i havent had an issue even using a dvi/vga adapter (which does make it tight.) either way, there is still cable left in the case if you need more.

5 out of 5 eggsHighest quality HTPC case I've seen

Pros: Construction is of highest quality. The screen is actually usable if you're building it and don't want to bother rounding up some other monitor for it.

Cons: A standard sized ATX motherboard will come way too close to longer ODD (CD, DVD, Bluray) and the plugs will not fit unaltered. I was connecting an LG HDDVD/Bluray/DVD+-RW and thought I was just at a loss, but I came up with a plan, and it works! Also I just happened to get one with a IR sensor that doesn't let the computer boot when plugged in, but I have external that works too.

Other Thoughts: To get a long ODD to work with full sized ATX motherboards you have to take part of the plastic off the plug of a SATA cable. I used an OKGear right angle SATA cable, used needle-nose pliers to remove the plastic covering the bend, and it plugs in fine. I also had to use a right angle SATA power connector instead of the straight plug style. Anyway, it CAN work, just takes effort.

4 out of 5 eggsHTPC BUILD

Pros: This case has some very high reviews from HTPC sites and I did my research before buying it. I received the case on time from NewEgg as always. Very easy case to work with. Has 2 drive cages for a total of 4 HDD. This is the only HTPC case that I found that has this. Works perfect for a 1 -2 TB raid system for your main media computer. I like the solid build and clean lines as well as the nice black matte finish. Has all the necessary fetures, Memory cards, LCDpanel for Front view control. This case has plenty of ventilation and houses my XFX 680i LT mobo with C2Q 6600.

Cons: My shipment was completely missing the included wreless keyboard kit. Called NewEgg 10 minutes after receiving the package and they really didn't even understand what I was talking about. Probably because they haven't sold too many of these. The wireless keyboard kit has a USB receiver , cable, batteries and the Moncaso keyboard which were completely missing. I have finished building the system and am now waiting for the wireless keyboard. Also, you need to buy a 170 cm long optical drive for this case. Regular drives will not work. I just ordered a Lite On DVDRW from Newegg that has these dimensions. New Egg doesn't list this on the specifications page for the Optical drives so I had to do my research elsewwhere to find the right drive model and then comeback to Newegg to find it and buy it.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is drop shipping these cases from the supplier therefore doesn't know what they are selling. Customer service and QC are out of Neweggs hands and I am really ticked off for having to wait for the keyboard. Also, I don't have an ETA on the keyboard because Newegg didn't even know what was supposed to be included. This is my first issue with Newegg but in general I like doing business with them. They are a very good company.

4 out of 5 eggsalmost bought this one - but ...

Pros: I apologize for writing a review of a product that I do not actually, own but I did look long and hard at this case and thought it would make a good HTPC option. Based on a number of reviews of this case (e.g., ), this is a high quality case with excellent build quality, it comes with iMON based LCD front panel, and is actually a reasonable price when compared to similar HTPC cases with the touch screen LCDs.

Cons: There are two main problems with case from my perspective: (1) the optical drive bay is limited to drives that 17 cm or less in depth and the front plate layout requirements may be a problem with many optical drives, and (2) the video cable from the LCD panel is a bit short in back - and may be a challenge for connecting a PCIe video card with a DVI-to-VGA adapter.

Other Thoughts: I could have probably lived with the video cable issues, but I want to use LG's combo Blu-Ray HD-DVD ROM drive in the HTPC case - and this optical drive is about 18.5 cm deep, so it would not fit. If you can live with the constraints on the optical drive depth and the rear VGA cable length - it is probably worth serious consideration.
