3 out of 5 eggsMissing parts

Pros: -Solid construction
-Double boxed shipping so it won't get dented

Cons: WARNING: MISSING FRONT I/O PANEL! I'm going to contact the manufacturer or newegg and try to get them to send it to me...

Other Thoughts: missing parts; seems nice otherwise...

3 out of 5 eggsGreat product, but some serious problems

Pros: This chassis is VERY well built, the steel is high quality, the paint is resistant to scratches, feels very solid and the handles on the front are not loose at all. Feel confident moving it around and mounting it in a rack. TONS of space, more than adequate for my application and lots of room to expand.

Cons: Unfortunately the manufacturer is using very cheap screws, which is disspointing considering the quality shown elsewhere in the case. The screws are made of VERY soft metal, and were, in my opinion, tightened down way too hard. The screws holding in the HDD and 5.25 bays, for example, I had to remove with a screwdriver held by a friend and a full size flex wrench! And the screws holding on the 5.25 cover plate would not move at all, I had to use a power drill and a damaged screw removal bit to get them out.

Also, I received an incomplete package. I received the chassis and the hardware, but my chassis did not have the font I/O panel installed, and also did not come with any documentation in the box. I was able to work around these issues with no loss, but still, a little QA?

Other Thoughts: Overall, I would recommend this chassis to people like me looking for low cost items. The chassis itself is again very well made and very well engineered for use and strength, but no front IO panel or documentation!? That's a pretty big goof to let slip, hence 3 eggs, directed more at the company than the actual product.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it !!!

Pros: I have been building my on computers since I was 8...lets say, about 16 years. Started on servers about 7 years ago.

With the new mATX boards and the i3/5/7 processors, this case is perfect.

3x 5.25" drive bays
- CD/DVD Burner
- Fan Controller
- USB Locking device bay (allows for flash drives or dongles)

1x 3.5" drive bay
- Floppy disk drive and card reader multi device (AWESOME)

Front panel reset and power, usb and fan filter.

Plenty of room in rear for extras - fans and such.

Cons: No media ports on front panel - headphone, microphone, etc.

Fans aren't included, but are cheap. Purchased 3 from here with the case - thanks to the other reviews.

Only two keys - but can have a local locksmith make more.

Other Thoughts: This case is perfect for me. The pros outweighed the cons by a ton. The price is great, had free shipping, and the reviews were exact. Wish I didn't have to use the L SATA cables, but what does it matter, they work. Very sturdy and sleek! Just love this case.

Purchased one for my server, going to get 2 more (for my desktop and another). HDMI cables running from rack to TV and dongles for keyboard and mouse.

Beyond happy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality, Comparable

Pros: 4 unit (i.e. standard ATX Mobo, PSU, etc).
Mobo, PSU screws included.
Nice cross-bar.
Detachable bays.
Ample HDD support.
Elegant back.
Professional looking front.
Decent internal space.
Sturdy/heavy duty.
Key/lock works.
Standard rail support.
Rubber feet (if not going in rack/cabinet).
Good weight distribution (for rack mounts).
Floppy support (e.g. custom boot loader testing, etc).
Multi-fan support.
Good structure.

Cons: No manual (if you're a newbie).
HDD connectors (e.g. SATA) may need to be L-shaped, even if you screw in the HDD so that it's deep in the bay as to allow more room for the connection.
Only 1 Fan included.
Comes with 2 keys (which means only two people have potential authorized access at any one time).

Other Thoughts: We were striving to find 4 unit chassis with data center quality, and, frankly, would be cheap/cost-effective. We found it.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Well Built, Good Airflow, HDD's float on rubber grommet, very inexpensive.
Self Supporting with my setup's weight, no rails needed.

Cons: Understand you need 90 degree sata power/data cables due to the internal drive bay design.

Door wont latch closed w/out key locked, so think about gluing it in there if security is no concern.

Other Thoughts: Installed another fan with a good PSU, Running a C2D E8400 w/4GB RAM on a MicroATX, 4x1.5TB SATA in Soft Raid10 and a 32GB SSD for a local Snow Leopard Server. Very Stable, fast, cool and cost effective.

I am amazed at the quality, I was expecting much less for what I paid.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good for a Small Server

Pros: Inexpensive and sturdy. Enough features to do the job of a small server.

Will fit a 12 x 9.6 motherboard.

Uses standard ATX power supply.

Has brackets to hold card securely.

Cons: Soft metal screws that round out easy, so-so air flow (for a "server" case), not very roomy.

Do NOT expect to use a full sized motherboard and still have room to use more than two of the 5.25 bays for anything like drive trays.

If using a full ATX motherboard avoid those with forward facing SATA plugs. I stuck a MSI X58 Pro-E (N82E16813130226) in one of these and it was a challenge.

Other Thoughts: Cooling is "OK" for a server/rackmount case. You have room for 2x 120mm behind the HD cage (comes with 1) and 2x 60mm (none included) on the back of the case.

I would not suggest using it for an SAS file server or anything, but for desktop drives or even enterprise class SATA drives they will stay fairly cool on a lightly used server.

Right angle cables are suggested.

I've also used the Norco version of this case, my most recent build included a 12.0" x 9.6" SUPERMICRO MBD-C2SBC-Q-O Motherboard (N82E16813182151) which fit perfectly.

Considering Cost vs. Features I'd say this is a good case, it is lacking a lot for a server case but it's very inexpensive.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Built solid.
Holds 6x 3.5 hard drives.
Not very noisy (but not completely silent either -- pretty normal for a OEM fan)

Cons: Buy right angle SATA cables. Even consider buying angle SATA power cables for your disk drives. Top won't close with standard SATA cables.

The matching rail kit, Habey RL-20 20" 3-sections Ball-Bearing Slide Rail59607886 , doesn't exactly match.

Only two of the four screws on each rail matched holes on the case.

Other Thoughts: I'd still buy another one.

Manufacturer Response:

The rail is designed to work with most rackmount chassis on the market. The holes on the rail are for matching different chassis. So not all holes have to be matched.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case Good Price

Pros: This is a great case for one in the losest of prices range. i needed this for a home server environment which serves as a file server and an application server. has plenty of room for hard drives. The lockable front door is a great feature and has enough clearance for removable drive bays to be installed. Case is well made and comes with tons of hardware.

Cons: the shipping is kinda high at over fifty percent of the price of the case and 2-3 day UPS turned into 6 days. i dont think it was newegg because i have never had a problem with them in the shipping department.

Other Thoughts: excellent airflow with only two fans. think there should be provisions for more fans but cant complain for the low cost.

5 out of 5 eggsGood price

Pros: I bought this for a home server, and will be buying 3-4 more easily to throw into my rack. It's a great buy and can easily hold it's weight with the right screws without rails.

Cons: While the HDD and CDrom bays come out, you will need right angle sata adapters for the HDD's because they stick up, other people noted this and I found out the same thing too, not really a true con, but be weary, you need to buy right angle sata cables.
