2 out of 5 eggsDOA - Twice

Pros: Love the look of the case and the layout. Can pack a lot of components into such a small case

Cons: Very poorly made. The plastic handles where the case is carried by and rests on are very poorly made. They affix to the case with very brittle and small brackets.

Other Thoughts: I really want to like this case but I ordered it on Black Friday, it showed up broken. Had to call Newegg and demand a replacement. They originally had to refund me the money, send me a shipping label and then repurchase the case. I told them just send me another one, so they finally sent out a replacement. SHOCKER, the second case showed up broken even worse than first. The weak point of the case is the cheap plastic for the handles/feet. Finally had to get a refund and purchase a different case. If I would have found the case locally I would have bought it, but they ship it in the manufacture's box which just has Styrofoam on the ends, its not enough protection for such a fragile case.

4 out of 5 eggsBroken Handle on Arrival : (

Pros: Nice looking case and the body part is made of metal, the black finish looks awesome...

Cons: The top and bottom handles are made of plastic and looks very cheap! And the bottom handle(stand) was actually broken on 3 of the 4 mounting points when I received it!

Other Thoughts: Really wish Bitfenix could use some better materials for the handles and change the mounting point from plastic to metal. Eventhough it might cost several dollars more it's going to make the user experience much much better...

3 out of 5 eggsGreat case, poor support from BitFenix and NewEgg

Pros: It's apparent a lot of thought was put into the design of this case. Everything is well placed, lot's of great features and plenty of places to add additional drives.

Cons: After assembling the computer, the front 120mm case fan was very noisy and the handles/legs on the top and bottom of the case are a bit "wobbly." It's not like they are going to fold up or anything, in fact they seem pretty secure, but I was surprised at the amount of play there was.

Other Thoughts: I replaced the speed-adjustable fan cable with a constant-on, but fan remained very noisy, so attempted to open a support ticket with BitFenix. I made several attempts over a 2-day period, but each time their ticket system would simply reload my info and ask me to replace my email address with a valid email address. I used several addresses, but all returned the same error.

I contacted NewEgg, since they have never disappointed with their customer service, to request a replacement case fan. The only option was to disassemble the computer, return the case, and wait for a replacement.

I'll just order a replacement fan since that's much more simple, and return of the entire case would require taking this machine back out of production.

2 out of 5 eggsI want to like it, but I can't

Pros: LOTS of drive storage, easy to route power and cables, inside of the case is very well made and easy to dissemble.

Cons: First case I got had a big crack in it, sent it back. Second case I got the tabs holding the top and bottom were cracked, but holding. I really do want to like this case as I love the look, but when you press the power button and the case "wobbles"? Seriously? Do not buy this case unless you want to do a server build and need the drive storage. (ie, your never going to touch the power button)

Other Thoughts: the screw in the bottom left was not put in correctly so the side panel took some "Effort" to get off. Fixed the stripped screw and was good to go.

Should have gotten the Corsair 250D, don't make my mistake.

1 out of 5 eggscheap

Pros: inside the case is designed nicely, easy to use drive bays, decent amount of space for an ITX, etc.

Cons: the top and bottom is extremely cheap plastic; when my case arrived, it was snapped off

Other Thoughts: don't buy this cheap garbage

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Fits all of my parts more than adequately with plenty of room for a more advanced graphics card and cooling system. More than enough optional hard drive storage.

Cons: Flexible handles may end up working just fine but I feel uneasy about lugging around this portable PC case when holding them. Not an issue so far fortunately.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap case, poor quality. Not practical for most uses.

Pros: Looked nice (except for the lean it had because of a cracked cheap plastic piece...), the size would have been perfect. Cooling looks like it would have been very adequate.

Cons: First of all, the case was damaged, so I returned it for a refund because I would not want a replacement of this thing.

It was damaged because the mechanical design of the case is not sound at all. The plastic on the top and bottom is cheap and was cracked upon arrival, so the case didn't even stand properly and looked horrible. I couldn't imagine this thing actually being able to reliably hold the weight of itself over time, let alone the weight of a ton of additional components inside the system. Design tip: Don't depend on a plastic piece, mated with a plastic rivet to a metal case to support the full load of your product + additional components...it just will not work...

Also, the plastic handles at the top (same as the ones on the bottom) felt like they were going to break off just when lifting the case by itself, also not a good design, especially if you will be putting 4 3.5" HDD's and a 500W PSU in the thing...

Aside from the poor construction, the pretty cool looking BitFenix logo on the front was mounted crooked, so it definitely took away from the sleek look of the case.

Also, if you plan on using a modular PSU in this thing (which makes sense in my opinion because the case is small and you most likely will not need all of the cables a non-modular PSU comes with, it will just make cooling worse and the inside more cramped and cluttered), good luck. You will need to remove the lower 3.5" cage they put in, which means that you will also have to remove the upper 3.5" cage above that since it will no longer have the physical support. By doing this, you have effectively reduced the inside of your case to only being able to install a motherboard and a PSU in, which is quite useless. I suppose if you had a single 2.5" SSD, you could pull it off, but this thing is definitely not meant for storage (small NAS/media server, which I intended to use it for).

Other Thoughts: Other than the massive amount of Cons versus Pros, it would have been a nice case for a NAS/media server...

1 out of 5 eggsSave your money and headaches

Pros: Very good concept and case design

Cons: The case is very well designed in theory but poorly manufactured. The cases arrived DOA both times. Also despite being so expensive it felt very cheap. The first time the case arrived the plastic stands were broken. The second case that arrived had a warped drive cage. But shout out to newegg customer service for being so understanding and helpful. I ended up getting a Corsair 250D which I love alot more.

5 out of 5 eggsGood looking mini-ITX case

Pros: Very large on the inside, I was able to move things around and adjust wires with no issues
I love how there were so many hard drive trays for 3.5 and for 2.5.
Looks to be very well put together, very high quality
Documentation is very thorough
Looked on the BitFenix site, there are so many options to modify this case.
Everything is put together with thumbscrews, I love that

Cons: Power Supply slot may have been a little small. Reviews say it accepts maximum of 160, I got a power supply that long. Maybe should have gone with 150.

Unfortunately it arrived with a small nick on the upper handle. Good thing I'm changing them out anyway to a different color.

Due to the see through nature of the front panel, you can see the HDD LED from the front. I guess I'll get used to it.

Maybe not really a con, but you have to remove the internal hard drive tray if you want a long video card to fit.

Other Thoughts: Very nice looking black case. However it does look too big on my IKEA desk.

At first I was afraid that the handles wouldn't be able to support its weight. I currently have only 1 SSD and no other HDD in there. Maybe that's why.

For a case like this, it would be in everyone's best interest to stick with 2.5 SSDs to give you more room when wiggling about. The added weight of standard sized hard drives may also break the handles.
