With multiple installation options, Prodigy is a small case that truly does it all.

FyberFlex™ Composite Technology

FyberFlex™ Composite Technology

Both the top and bottom handles of Prodigy are made from BitFenix FyberFlex™ Composite - a revolutionary material that is not only flexible, but incredibly strong. 4 out of 5 eggsGreat case with minor flaws.

Pros: Great fan support for such a small case.
Radiator support.
Optical drive.
Lots of hard drive bays.

Cons: Low-quality fans.
No cable management options.
Case IO is located on a removable side panel.

Other Thoughts: So I recently my friend and I chose this case for his first build. This is sized a litter on the larger size for a mini itx case but that is fine. The build quality is average with no parts being damaged during shipping. There is a lot of flexibility for fans and radiators including fan filters almost everywhere. Speaking of fans, the fans are 4 pin, my motherboard only supports three pin, and most fans are three pin as well..

4 out of 5 eggsNIce Case with compromise

Pros: Inexpensive
plenty of space
fully painted
supports full size power supply
removable hard drive cages
Dust filters are nice

Cons: Not much for cable management
I do not like the power/reset/usb/hp jacks on the side of the case
Large for a mitx case
Handles are plastic

Received mine with a broken handle. I ended up removing it an putting proper feet on it.

Other Thoughts: This is a great case but there are some things that really bother me. With the IO on the side panel it really restricts where you put the system. I hate having to reach around the computer to push the power button. Also with the IO on the side panel it makes it annoying to remove the side panel it is connected to. Other than that, this case is fun to work in. Plenty of room for a mitx case. That could be a pro or a con due to mitx being an inherently small form factor.

2 out of 5 eggsCool case, bad quality exterior parts

Pros: Great case for mini itx builds

Cons: Original case showed up with broken tabs that connect the handle/feet to the case. Replacement showed up with broken tabs also. This is due to a cheap and thin tab layout that bolts the feet and handle to the case. Bitfenix needs to reinforce this design

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: I bought this to eventually replace the massive gaming tower I currently have. It has enough room to maneuver and manipulate your rig. BitFenix support was effective, but I wouldn't say fast. See more in Other thoughts

Cons: I had one panel with a bad paint job that could (not WOULD) cut your hands as you work with the tower and/or panel. I had to contact BitFenix for a replacement. The flexible "arms" on top and bottom seem soft, and I can't really tell if they're fragile. I'm not going to test them.

Other Thoughts: BitFenix support wasn't exactly rushing me a replacement panel, and I'm OK with the delay since I am not yet using the case. From time of support ticket to replacement was about 3-4 weeks, a 1-week vagueness is because I was out-of-state when the package arrived. BitFenix was not interested in having the faulty panel back.

Since I'm slowly piecing the system together, I can only review individual products. I think this will be a great case, just waiting on sales for all the rest of it.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware, possible RMA

Pros: Spacious (for its size), low footprint, metal parts are exceptional in build quality, comes with a number of dust filters.

Cons: The plastic bits are prone to breaking, leaving you with either a handle-less or bottom-less LAN machine or small footprint desktop.

Other Thoughts: It's unfortunate, mostly because the rest of the case is solid. If it weren't for the number of cases that appear to be broken, this item would probably get four stars.

Come on, soft foam isn't good enough for fragile parts.

2 out of 5 eggsDOA - Twice

Pros: Love the look of the case and the layout. Can pack a lot of components into such a small case

Cons: Very poorly made. The plastic handles where the case is carried by and rests on are very poorly made. They affix to the case with very brittle and small brackets.

Other Thoughts: I really want to like this case but I ordered it on Black Friday, it showed up broken. Had to call Newegg and demand a replacement. They originally had to refund me the money, send me a shipping label and then repurchase the case. I told them just send me another one, so they finally sent out a replacement. SHOCKER, the second case showed up broken even worse than first. The weak point of the case is the cheap plastic for the handles/feet. Finally had to get a refund and purchase a different case. If I would have found the case locally I would have bought it, but they ship it in the manufacture's box which just has Styrofoam on the ends, its not enough protection for such a fragile case.

4 out of 5 eggsBroken Handle on Arrival : (

Pros: Nice looking case and the body part is made of metal, the black finish looks awesome...

Cons: The top and bottom handles are made of plastic and looks very cheap! And the bottom handle(stand) was actually broken on 3 of the 4 mounting points when I received it!

Other Thoughts: Really wish Bitfenix could use some better materials for the handles and change the mounting point from plastic to metal. Eventhough it might cost several dollars more it's going to make the user experience much much better...

3 out of 5 eggsGreat case, poor support from BitFenix and NewEgg

Pros: It's apparent a lot of thought was put into the design of this case. Everything is well placed, lot's of great features and plenty of places to add additional drives.

Cons: After assembling the computer, the front 120mm case fan was very noisy and the handles/legs on the top and bottom of the case are a bit "wobbly." It's not like they are going to fold up or anything, in fact they seem pretty secure, but I was surprised at the amount of play there was.

Other Thoughts: I replaced the speed-adjustable fan cable with a constant-on, but fan remained very noisy, so attempted to open a support ticket with BitFenix. I made several attempts over a 2-day period, but each time their ticket system would simply reload my info and ask me to replace my email address with a valid email address. I used several addresses, but all returned the same error.

I contacted NewEgg, since they have never disappointed with their customer service, to request a replacement case fan. The only option was to disassemble the computer, return the case, and wait for a replacement.

I'll just order a replacement fan since that's much more simple, and return of the entire case would require taking this machine back out of production.

2 out of 5 eggsI want to like it, but I can't

Pros: LOTS of drive storage, easy to route power and cables, inside of the case is very well made and easy to dissemble.

Cons: First case I got had a big crack in it, sent it back. Second case I got the tabs holding the top and bottom were cracked, but holding. I really do want to like this case as I love the look, but when you press the power button and the case "wobbles"? Seriously? Do not buy this case unless you want to do a server build and need the drive storage. (ie, your never going to touch the power button)

Other Thoughts: the screw in the bottom left was not put in correctly so the side panel took some "Effort" to get off. Fixed the stripped screw and was good to go.

Should have gotten the Corsair 250D, don't make my mistake.

1 out of 5 eggscheap

Pros: inside the case is designed nicely, easy to use drive bays, decent amount of space for an ITX, etc.

Cons: the top and bottom is extremely cheap plastic; when my case arrived, it was snapped off

Other Thoughts: don't buy this cheap garbage
