Prodigy Fire Red and Atomic Orange

BitFenix Prodigy is meticulously crafted and beautifully engineered, redefining the Mini-ITX chassis. The compact housing is suspended by handles made with BitFenix FyberFlex Composite for easy portability and maximum shock absorption. Inside, the modular FlexCage gives you the flexibility to install up to five 3.5" hard disks or 2.5" SSDs, or remove it entirely to fit up to 240mm watercooling radiators and long graphics cards. For added flexibility, additional SSD locations are also included, and a choice of Midnight Black or Arctic White with interchangeable front facades mean Prodigy will suit your individual style. With tool-free convenience, two USB 3.0 ports, filtered intakes, and unique BitFenix SofTouch Surface Treatment, Prodigy is the compact case with no compromises.

Beautifully Compact

Beautiful and Compact

The compact mini-ITX body with subtle curves and clean lines is suspended by two elegantly crafted handles that give Prodigy a solid yet modern look that makes it a perfect addition to any environment.

Unmatched Flexibility

Flexibly Designed

Prodigy is flexibly designed. Install long graphics cards up to 320mm in length by removing the top HDD cage. Bolt a 240mm water cooling radiator in the top, or if the build demands it, remove the entire HDD cage and put the 240mm radiator in the front, while still being able to install up to five 2.5" drives. With multiple installation options, Prodigy is a small case that truly does it all.

FyberFlex Composite Technology

FyberFlex Composite Technology

Both the top and bottom handles of Prodigy are made from flexible and incredibly strong BitFenix FyberFlex Composite. Fastened on both the top and bottom of the chassis, these handles are a convenient way to carry Prodigy, while providing added shock absorption during transport.

Maximum Storage Potential

Rich Storage Options

Prodigy provides loads of storage options with room for up to five 3.5" HDDs or nine 2.5" SSDs. Set it up as a high octane portable gaming rig, an attractive home server, or a full on NAS. With Prodigy, the possibilities are nearly limitless.

Ready for DIY

Born for DIYers

Prodigy is born for DIYers with rich DIY-friendly features. The unique motherboard tray makes it easy to fit tall CPU coolers, and filtered fan intakes keep the interior and system looking superb. The tool-free drive locking mechanisms make installing HDDs an incredibly simple affair, while cable management features keep your internals neat and tidy.

High-Speed USB 3.0 Connectivity

High-Speed USB 3.0 Connectivity

Equipped with two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, Prodigy allows you to transfer files ten times faster than with USB 2.0.

BitFenix Quality

BitFenix Quality

FyberFlex handles are coated with none other than BitFenix SofTouch surface treatment, while the luxuriously coated interior and rolled-edge cable pass-throughs exude a premium feel.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good design. Well thought out. Easy installation of components. Looks great!

Cons: Like many, I found a broken plastic attachment where the case leg is secured by a screw into the base. It looks like they use power drivers in the factory and just over tightened this one. I took one egg for this as it did weaken the case a bit. However, it is completely usable without it and I don't fear the case breaking or falling due to the loss of this single screw hold. They just need better attention to detail as the case is great otherwise.

5 out of 5 eggsGorgeous case; huge for a mini-ITX build

Pros: This case makes my build look extremely fantastic. The quality of the materials is extremely nice. The plastics are all nice and soft to the touch. The powder coat on the panels is very well done. The reconfigurability of the inside is great.

Cons: If I had to knock anything, it would be that the power/HD leds are a bit bright, and aren't color matched to the case. That's simply aesthetics though.

Other Thoughts: Wish this came with the window panel. I had to purchase that separately. Thought it was very much worth it for the look.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Favorite Case

Pros: This is by far my favorite case that I have ever used. Has room for all my components and decent options for cable management considering it is an itx case. It is really easy to build in this case. Plus lets be honest, this case is really pretty to look at no matter what your preference may be.

Cons: Really, really minor issue, but the two microphone and audio ports on the front panel aren't labeled. It is also a little big for a "mini" case. Also, the handles seem a little flimsy, especially with the weight of all your components inside. I would never pick it up for the top two handles to transport.

Other Thoughts: Great case, especially for the price. Very aesthetically pleasing. I would highly recommend this case to any builder. 5 eggs!

5 out of 5 eggsEverything I could have hoped for

Pros: Lots of space for a mini-itx case, cable management was a breeze, plenty of mounting options for SSD's/HDD's, good airflow, just overall good design

Cons: It's biggest strength is also a bit of a weakness, since it is so spacious it can be a little big and heavy.

5 out of 5 eggsThe only ITX you'll ever need.

Pros: This thing can fit everything you need. Extremely customizable.

As your building you come across small things all the time that are like "Woah, that's awesome that they thought of that."

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for my girlfriend so she could have a small computer but still play the games she wants and it does exactly that.

Specs :
CoolerMaster H101 80mm
120GB Samsung 840
500GB Random junked HDD from a laptop
EVGA 650ti Boost
Corsair CX500M
Multiple added fans, including a 230mm fan in the front.

Things to be careful on sizes of are the heatsink and the power supply, certain ones won't fit. Look at the other bitfenix case comments to see what other people have fit. It worked out for me :) Good luck!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Pretty sure NASA designed this case. The amount of foresight that went into this case is phenomenal. You really get what you pay for.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Careful when using the Corsair H-Series of close loop water coolers they may not fit without removing all the hard drive cages for the mechanical drives.

4 out of 5 eggsInteresting Mini-ITX Case

Pros: Things that can fit in this case
- A large video card (MSI Lightning 7970)
- A dual 120mm radiator (Corsair H100) mounted to the roof
- A decent power supply (Cooler Master 700W)

good venting for the PSU and video card.

Cons: This case can fit a lot of large components but everything is very tight. Cannot use the 5.25 drive bay if the top is used for cooling.

Other Thoughts: I got this case to see how powerful I could make a system in a Mini-ITX format and the answer is very powerful (i7 3770k with Radeon 7970). However, if I was to consider building another computer this powerful I would definitely use a larger case and motherboard. The case worked very well with the Corsair H100.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: This case was a breeze to work with. I loaded it up with 3 laptop hard drives and an SSD. I removed all of the hard drive trays since I was able to mount the drives to the case. This case is incredibly configurable.

Total Build:
ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe
i7 3770
Radeon 7970
Seasonic SS-560KM
BitFenix Recon Fan Controller
BitFenix Spectre Pro 200mm

Cons: Modular PSUs can be a tight fit, but I knew that going in.

The side with USB ports flexes slightly when adding or removing USB plugs.

Very minor cons so it still gets 5 eggs in my book.

5 out of 5 eggslovely

Pros: Lots of room and tons of customization option. Very sturdy construction and the color is just wonderful.

Cons: Tends to slide around somewhat on my smooth wooden desk.

4 out of 5 eggsWhoopsy...

Pros: Looks like a great ITX tower.

Cons: Maybe don't use an example with a very obviously bent HDD mount for stock photo.

Other Thoughts: Nice layout, room for closed loop L.C. Dedi GPU, and more. Broken example.
