5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This case is probably one of the best I've ever used. Right up there with Corsair. There is ample room behind the MB tray to hold cables. Plenty of space for anything you could think of. Amazing airflow.
One of the best features of this case are the dust filters. The front and bottom filters are easy to access and work great. The top filter is also a nice touch. A lot of people think its pointless for top air filters because fans usually exhaust out the top but that doesn't mean dust doesn't fall through when the fans aren't running. This makes sure that doesn't happen.
The stock fans are good but I swapped them all out for corsair air series 140mm.
2x front intake
1x bottom intake
3x top exhaust
CPU cooler exhausts out the back with 120mm fan and radiator.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I've seen a lot of reviews where people are stating that the top fans will vibrate. Causing a lot of noise. I haven't had this problem. With the stock fans or after I installed the Corsair AF140s.

The side panel window is tinted. There is no mistaking that. Its dark. Not insanely dark but without case lighting, don't expect to see inside well at all. All my fans are Red LED and with the tinted panel, its exactly what I'm looking for. Nice color that allows me to see inside the window without lighting up my computer room. Clear panels allow too much light through to suit me. I'm looking to light up my computer, not the entire room. Some might not like the tint. To each their own.

4 out of 5 eggsVersatile HDD insert methods

Pros: Months and months of admin & maint work on many users' cases give me a better appreciation. My favorite thing is that the case is wide enough so HDDs can be slid in 'cables out - nose-in' - in other words, I can do full maint on this case by removing only one side panel, like old-style cases offered. So all cables are 'exposed', yes, but easy to get to, easy to switch, add, remove, etc.

There is adequate spacing between stacked HDDs too for decent-enough air-cooling with front fans. Not as good as the Antec 302 or the CoolerMaster N400, but almost.

Cons: Large. Fill up HDDs on any case, and things get real heavy, real fast. This case's top plug-in ports beg for this to be on the floor, but the bottom-mounted power-supply means greater dust-collecting down there. Oh well... there's always a trade-off.

3 out of 5 eggsAnnoyed at design/build quality

Pros: Great looking case. Looks like the picutres. Plenty of room. Stock fans are quiet.

Cons: I received the case yesterday and built my pc last night. I had two issues in ascending order of annoyance:
1. Minor: The rubber "feet" on the bottom of the stand fell off during the assembly of the PC. I built it on carpet and 1/2 way through the build, I found 3 of the 4 rubber feet stuck to my carpet. Not a big deal, I put them back on the case, but I would expect better adherance than that.
2. Major: I had the motherboard installed, H100i installed, all HD's (6 +1 SSD), fan's rearranged and routed, then I discovered that the connector on the HD LED + wire to the MB was missing. I had a bear wire where a black connector should be. I looked around to see if I could find it (maybe I pulled it off??), to no avail. What to do? I had stripped down my old pc to get to this point. Do I wait and ask newegg to send me another one tomorrow (2-3 day turnaround?), do I contact Fractal? Likely they would have to send me a new case since the pin was pulled off the lead and a new one would have to be crimped on, then it would be installed into the new connector. They would not have a customer do that, so I did the next best thing. I cut the one off my old case and soldered it onto the bare lead wire. It worked, so I moved on. I was pretty upset that I had to solder my new case becuase of an obvious manufacturing issue and a Quality Assurance miss.

Other Thoughts: I probably got the one bad case that got through QA, but I was pretty annoyed that I had to cut the lead out of the old and solder it onto my new case. What if I didn't have one? I would have lost 2-3 days and likely reinstalled everything back into the old case while I waited for the replacement (3-4 hours lost).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Just pretend that I gave this SIX eggs.

-tons of room. Cable management is a breeze
-pretty much EVERYTHING on this case is removable, except for foam air filters. (more on this in cons)
-great airflow. Fits several fans, most of which are 140mms
-quiet. I can have all of my case fans chugging along at full speed and I don't hear anything. Even my GPU fan is significantly quieter in this case. I can play heavy stuff while my gf is asleep in the same room. Impressive.
-three speed fan toggle. 5, 7, 12V.

Cons: -Sadly, the only thing that isn't easily removable is the foam air filters. You can get to them very easily, and you can remove them easily, but to do so you have to bend little metal clips. Doing so will weaken the clip and repeated bendings will break them. Therefore, I don't consider them to be removable.

Other Thoughts: Looks really nice.

If you're looking for a roomy case with some aesthetic appeal and really good airflow, this is the case you want.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost great

Pros: Nice to work in. Plenty of space. Understated good looks (simple). Almost dust proof. Filters easy to clean. Built in fan controller for those that don't already have one.

Cons: Prone to noise from vibration from flimsy doors, light weight front panel, and the fact the half the case is grill so there's nothing between your ears and the inside of the case.. Fans may not fit front door if you upgrade them due to tight spacing.

Other Thoughts: I love this case for the most part. Almost everything about it is just how I would make it if I was inventing my own perfect case. There's just a few little things that need tweaking. The included fans don't seem to play nice with asus fanxpert, with rpm's bouncing around at supposedly 20,000 rpm for one of them. I tried to put in some thermalright fans that are easy to control but they wouldn't quite fit the front panel because they're a few mm bigger. This could be thermalrights fault but fractal should have considered this and left a tiny bit of space in case somebody wanted to change things up with another brand. I ended up using zip ties because the screw holes wouldn't quite line up. I would also love if they added anti vibration features. Heavier doors and front would probably do it but the best thing would if they also came up with a way to keep any of the bigger parts of the case from touching metal to metal. Bushings or whatever. I would pay a few more bucks for that. While I'm at it please make the feet a little taller so the bottom fan and power supply can breath if the case is on a carpet or at least sell some tall feet. Overall great case but not quite perfect. Looking forward to the third edition.

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely Well Designed Case

Pros: This case is amazing, don't let the bland pictures fool you. It is extremely well manufactured, everything fits nicely, no sharp edges, it is ridged and doesn't flex when you pick it up. I have used many cheap cases lately and it is so nice to go back to a well designed case.

The cooling options are amazing! You can mount a double fan radiator like the Corsair H100 in multiple locations. There is enough room without modification to mount the H100 to the top of the case, with Push/Pull configuration or normal config. You can also move the HDD cage to 2 other positions allowing you to mount the H100 to the front of the case, it also has enough room to do a Push/Pull configuration without having to modify the case at all.

On top of the plentiful space to mount water cooling there is also filters around the entire case. There is an easily removable bottom filter for the PSU. There is an easily removable front filter, it just pops right off and is super easy to clean with a vacuum. The top panel of the case slides off to reveal yet another nice filter, also very easy to clean with a vacuum. There is also optional mounting holes for several fan sizes in all of the fan mounting spots.

There is plenty of room for oversized video cards, SLI/crossfire configurations, and bulky CPU coolers.

The cable management options are also amazing! My case looks so neat and tidy is blows my mind. There is even room for an extra SSD behind the motherboard.

Cons: There is not much wrong with this case. The only cons i can think of are not very annoying.

The case window is tinted, so it's hard to see your awesome components inside.

It's a rather plain case design, some might not find that a con.

The optical drive cage is not tool-less, but that is not really a con.

Other Thoughts: I have no regrets in buying this case. It has exceeded my expectations in every category. Fractal Designs is one of my new favorite case manufacturers. I picked this case up on sale for $60, but is definitely worth the MSRP price. If you want an amazingly well designed mid-size case that can hold large powerful components then this is the case for you.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case, Function > Form

Pros: Cable management is amazing.
Very nice airflow keeps the components very cool.
No frills design doesn't bother adding stuff like illuminated fans or airflow louvers. Instead this case has used that design budget on more functional (in my opinion) useful components.
The standard as-shipped layout of fans and drive cages works very well for a simple "stick it together" system.

Cons: My only real issue, is the top rear standard 140mm included exhaust fan vibrates and rattles. It seems like the top of the metal case is intermittently touching the top of the fan cage(not blades), causing a low buzzing noise which goes away when the top of the case is gently pressed or dampened.

The front filter MAY be difficult to clean, as proper airflow causes the dust to accumulate on the metal grating on top of the filter. And the only way to remove the filter, is to bend the metal tabs of the metal grid itself. This probably will cause the metal grating tabs to fatigue and break after only a few (probably warranty voiding) filter removals.

The blue power light seems BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN, it is very piercing, and as I usually use my computer as a file and media server along with other general use; it is continuously on, and the light is VERY distracting at night.

Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this case, and it was well recommended.
Currently, this case keeps my components plenty cool, and I am not using the integrated fan controller, and as such; some space is wasted.
Nothing about this case would make me not want to recommend it to anyone looking for an ATX case.

The case is very solid, and VERY well designed; I count the fact that it doesn't have goofy lights or something "12 year old me" would find "amazing dude!" as a plus.
