5 out of 5 eggsBy far one of my favorites cases!

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This mid tower case is a sleek and sexy case that looks good without even trying. It is spacious, easy to setup and great to look at. Another great thing that I believe is the best thing about Fractal Design is their customer service. Whenever I had a problem or a question, the customer service would respond right away and find a fix for you!

I had a messed up audio line from my front panel to motherboard and when I told them I had a problem with it, the next thing they did was just ask for my address and serial number for the case and then sent me out a new part right away! I'm really happy with this case, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: Beautiful and sexy case when I first got it, and still can't stop looking at it.

3 out of 5 eggsA bit of damage

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Spacious, especially for the cords along the back (compared to most cases)
Tons of cord cutouts around the motherboard, VERY helpful.
Very modular and customizable.
Easy to remove filters

Cons: Hard to move because nothing to hold on to on the front
1 of the 3 included fans was defective, very noisy and wobbly. Newegg gave me a small credit, will help buy a replacement fan. I'll be getting a Noctua or contacting Fractal for a replacement part.
A small ding in the top fan cover.
The cutouts for the disc drives don't quite line up properly, leaves gaps

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am pleased with the purchase, but I feel it is a bit overpriced. I think a good price for this would be $80-$85 USD. You get a flexible, low maintenance, cleanable case for around $100. But I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable doing a build totaling over $1,400 or so, because it just isn't that physically sturdy. For cutting edge, pricey builds, go with an all metal case, probably a Corsair.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It - No Regrets - Would Buy Again

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I like the clean conservative look of this PC case.
Lots of room for small, medium, or large power supply. I installed a Corsair HX1000i power supply.
Includes motherboard mounting screws and case pre-drilled holes are all labeled. I installed ASUS Z97-A/USB 3.1 motherboard.
Like the included 3 larger and quiet 140mm case fans with easy removeable air filters for cleaning. The front case filter is easy to remove for cleaning by simply pressing the front grill!
Since my case is sitting on the floor under my desk to the right of my legs, I love the case control panel on the top of the case where I can easily access the blue LED power switch, USB 2.0/3.0 ports, 3-position fan switch, reset button, and view red disk activity LED .
Rotating or removing the hard drive mounting cases capability is great for adding optional cooling systems in the future. I opted to rotate the middle case so the front fan would allow more air to cool the WD 2TB hard drive I installed.
I like the flat case top for setting some safe (no coffee mug!) non-obstructive items on it's top such as spare usb cable, cell phone, etc
This wider case made it easy to route and secure power and data cables behind the right side panel. The inside of the case provides many place to attach the included cable ties.
The left side window is perfect for viewing the various diagnostic LEDs on my power supply, motherboard, and corsair memory.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you have room for it's large footprint (18.11" high x 9.06" wide x 20.28" deep), I highly recommend this case.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Simple, Clean and Easy

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I moved down from a Full Tower to this Mid Tower and couldn't be happier.

This case fits everything including a full length GTX 980 no problem and the Air Flow is top notch

The side window Shows everything above the power supply and HDD cages which i like but some might not

The included dust shields are easy to remove and clean

I was able to jam a 230mm (rosewill) fan in the top which exhausts virtually all the heat out of my case by itsself

The side window is held in very securely

Cons: Some of the plastic attached to the acrylic window was wrapped around to far and now unless i bend the metal holding the window in I wont be able to remove that plastic. not a deal breaker at all but its annoying

I could have used a few more tie down mounts behind the back panel for more cable management options because I'm a neat freak with my cables but I made due, still a con though.

Other Thoughts: It is 2016 and there are a LOT of great pc case options out there but with how modular this case is, how much you can fit into it for being a Mid Tower, the price, the build quality and how sleek it looks I highly doubt you could get more for your money anywhere else.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Sleek and Functional

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Tons of room
-Easy to work in
-Good Cable Management
-140mm fans
-Removable drive bays
-Looks great
-Dust filters for most fans
-Fits 120x2 AIO water coolers like the H100i in push config

Cons: -only 2 external drive bays
-having the USB plugs pointing upward can be an issue in tight spaces
-The HD audio wires for the front jacks is pushing it on length, made it hard to plug it in

Other Thoughts: -i didn't use the fan controller, i have a separate one. can't comment on that
-A lot of the reviews say that it didn't come with enough MB stand offs, mine did. More than enough for an ATX, i had 3 left over.
-also it has this really cool tool for screwing in the stand offs. very useful.
-i knew about the 2 drive bays so wont lose an egg for that.
-i hadn't anticipated the USB plug position so that's my fault.
-the side window is sort of tinted. I found that odd, but not enough to count as a con.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat airflow. Solid beginner's case with no extra bells and whistles.

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Definitely sturdy construction.
Comes with three 140mm fans (front, top, back)
Comes with a variety screws so you'll never be lacking one.

Cons: None at that low price point.

Other Thoughts: Some new cases in 2015 and 2016 come with removable sliding fan mounts. This case is older so it obviously doesn't have that feature. I didn't really think about sliding fan mounts before buying, but it would've made the build process so much easier. Less cramped hands.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case and excellent layout.

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Excellent airflow
-Quiet fans
-Solid and LARGE internal layout
-Hard drive bays are easy to remove
-Great looking side panel
-Silent
I gotta say, this is a HUGE improvement from my last case. I managed to buy this for 70$ and it was worth it.

Cons: I thought that the bottom hard drive cage would mount at the top but guess not. The case was heavy on my part but not gonna take away an egg just for that.

Other Thoughts: I know there was a box that had all the screws in it but I would like to see the plastic baggies with labels on them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case.

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -I'm a big fan of its simple minimalist design; understated but pleasant to look at.
-Case is relatively light, even with all components installed; noticeably lighter than my hefty eight year old Dell XPS, and smaller as well.
-Fans are comfortably quiet.
-The window is pretty snazzy.
-The extra space behind the back panel makes cable organization a snap and component installation much less of a hassle than it could've been; naturally makes the prospect of upgrading less daunting.

Cons: No real complaints.

Other Thoughts: Highly reccommended.

5 out of 5 eggsLarge Case, Excellent For Hard Drives

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This design is wide enough to allow hard-drives to be inserted 'nose in or nose out', so hard-drive maintenance (additions, removals) can be done by removing only one panel if the "nose in" choise is made, leaving all cabling facing 'out'.

The MB cut-out works for CPU coolers across a host of Z77, Z87, Z97 motherboards, and on the AMDs, we have this case using 890FX, 990s and a few 970 motherboards - all with the ability to change CPU heatsinks without any other device removal. VERY nice.

Dust filters are easy-enough to access.

Cons: This is a heavy case. All cases are, when loaded with 7 or 8 HDDs as our customers use.

Other Thoughts: For users that need frequent parts-maintenance, this case allows the return of a "remove only one panel" access to almost everything except back-plate CPU cooler access.

When I need 5, 6 or more HDDs, this is a preferred case.

It's listed as 19 inches high but, because the front USB ports require vertical plug-in's, add another 3 inches for inserting, removal and left-in USBs. So, I consider this case to need 23 inches vertical space, and 22-23 inches horizontal (depth) space.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 with Window Side Panel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Ability to remove all the drive trays to get unobstructed air flow with two front intakes.
- Simplistic design.
- Provides lots of options for cooling.
- Came with 3 fans. (got a another matching one for 2 front intakes and 1 back/1 top exhaust.
- Easy to clean dust filter.

Cons: - Rear ssd mounts aren't the most practical. Mobo and psu need to removed in order to swap drives. Also adds more cable clutter and can't use right angle sata connectors. (ended up mounting ssds in optical drive bays)
