5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium with Window ATX Midtower Silent PC Computer Case

Pros: Where to start?
-Cable management to include Fractal's little Velcro ties along the back center, cable management tie down loops throughout the case, and plenty of places to run and hide those pesky ugly cables.
-Noise dampening material and ultra-quiet Fractal 140mm fans. All I hear is my 212 Evo CPU fan and barely notice it 3 feet away.
-Dust filters over bottom and front fan intake areas.
-Modular drive bay racks for customization how you see fit, easy to use
-Drive sleds meant to be used with provided rubber grommets for noise dampening, excellent.
-Sturdy construction and simple design

Cons: -Actual drive racks feel a bit flimsy but not I have not found this concerning
-That's it

Other Thoughts: Of all the components in my current build, I spent the most time researching what case to purchase. I had been debating purchasing a Node 804 for a FreeNAS build and started looking into Fractal's other cases. There is not a single part of this case that I am disappointed with. Even the included fans are top notch, so much so I purchased two additional fans of the same type. Cable management wise I suppose perhaps an extra quarter to half inch behind the motherboard mounting plate would have been nice, but everywhere else in this case is super roomy and I ran everything behind anyway with limited issues.

I would and will recommend this case to anyone building a new gaming machine. I could not be more pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case at a Great Price!

This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium with Window ATX Midtower Silent PC Computer Case

Pros: Solid, thoughtful design with quality that you might not expect at this price range. The sound dampening material makes this one of the quietest systems I have ever assembled. Easy to configure for any sized video card on the market today. If you are looking for a rock solid non-flashy build, this is the smart money buy!

Cons: Some of the cable management holes at the top of the motherboard are small enough to make it difficult to get the power cable plugs through. I used a modular power supply, and found the easiest way to route the cable was to push the end that connects to the power supply through first.

5 out of 5 eggsLove This Case!

This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium with Window ATX Midtower Silent PC Computer Case

Pros: - Tons of room
- Lots of hardware included
- Clear instructions
- Looks great
- Very quiet!
- Front panel connectors and fan control work great
- Very intelligently designed

Cons: ***It's a necessary evil but...

- IT'S HUGE!!!

Other Thoughts: Great case. Cooling is great. Near silent operation (very important for me as this is for an audio workstation build). Can't say enough good things about it. I feel like it is cartoonishly big, but I'm used to working on more average sized consumer desktops. Truthfully, I'm glad it's the size it is or I wouldn't have been able to fit my cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo). Will definitely be using cases from Fractal Designs for all of my future builds.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Product

This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium with Window ATX Midtower Silent PC Computer Case

Pros: Fractal Designs quality means terrific fit and finish. Plenty of hardware to complete the build. Love the removable drive bays for longer graphics cards or simply creating a cleaner build when they are not necessary. 140mm fans push more air at lower RPM which makes a very quiet PC easily obtainable. The option to reverse the front door is a bonus. Plenty of room for proper cable management. Room for almost any air and AIO cooler options and for those that want to do a custom water loop, well this is as close to a blank canvas as you can ask for.

Cons: uhm...

none

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a high end looking case without breaking the bank, this is it! Plenty of color options for that perfect build as well. I would recommend this producst

4 out of 5 eggsTotal upgrade.

This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium with Window ATX Midtower Silent PC Computer Case

Pros: The room, the amount of drive bays and the fact they are removable, the full length bottom filter sliding out from the front, the quiet fans, the cable management (is pretty awesome), the left/right swap-able front door, the amount of spots for fans or radiators, the weight of the case and the way the left panel can be opened and closed easily with the lever. No need for the thumb screw. All of these things, for me, make this great just awesome.

Cons: I'm having a hard time finding anything to really complain about here aside from the price. I scored mine for 99 bucks w/free shipping by waiting for a sale. Otherwise, it's going to set you back $130 + shipping. Not sure the value is really there at that price point, especially when you can find R4's for 79 bucks. Also, I would prefer the Moduvents to have been held in place with magnets rather than the plastic clips. That's very minor though and more like a personal preference rather than an actual con.

Other Thoughts: This is a well thought out, well designed case with very decent build quality and a solid heft and feel to it. It has lots of design features that made building in it painless and enjoyable. The grommet lined cutouts and included velcro cable straps made clean and neat cable management a non-issue. It's almost difficult not to run your cables neatly in this case.
Is the case silent? No. But, it is quieter than other cases I've had and when you add that up with all the other features that have been designed into this case it's easy to recognize this black box is a winner. I can easily see this case being in use for many years and multiple builds.

3 out of 5 eggsSSD didn't fit into stealth bracket

This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium with Window ATX Midtower Silent PC Computer Case

Pros: looks great, and has amazing radiator support.

the modular interior makes things cleaner.

almost completely tooless.

plenty of cable management space in back.

Cons: Samsung 850 pro won't wit into their brackets. kind of disappointing that they didn't make them 1mm wider, which I doubt would have costed much at all. so I have to use a tray and have an ugly Sata power cord stretching down. also blocks air blow a bit.

the front scratches easily, be warned. it will take nothing at all to lose the finish buff, and it isn't forgiving.
