Tired of the routine design and architecture of the conventional tower-style PC case? Feel bored with the dull elements of meshes, transparent side panels and fancy LED lights of the so-called high end chassis? Toss the limitation and bridle into recycle bin and indulge yourself in the nakedness and pristine form of the PC components with the open type DIYPC Alpha-DB6 acrylic bench case, which endows your build a unique appearance and makes your system stand out from crowds.

With dozens of mounting posts, screw holes, air vent for PSU and cuttings for cable-through on an acrylic board, the Bench case can accommodate Micro ATX / ATX motherboard and longer graphics card while the open style delivers excellent performance on cooling, compatibility and maintenance, ideal for testing and overclocking. The HDD and ODD can be easily mounted on the stand. For uncompromising convenience, a side easy-access panel is also included for easy connection to the peripherals.

  • newegg Easy to Install With a piece of acrylic board mounted on four stands, the open style Bench case delivers unlimited space for components and unmatched convenience for system assemble - no more hassle of groping in a narrow space.
  • newegg Excellent Cooling With heat circulation below motherboard and high-efficiency heat convection, the bench case delivers superior cooling performance for the whole system.
  • newegg Stand Mounted ODD and HDD The HDD and ODD can be installed on the stand - below the acrylic board, lowering the center of gravity for better stability and proving better protection.
  • newegg Easy Access Panel A side panel with one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 port, and one headset + one mic ports allows easy access to a variety of peripherals.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat bench, but USB's are JUNK!

Pros: Sturdy

Cons: Supplied USB's are complete junk. At one point they switch a USB 2.0 to a 3.0 and didnt take test fit it. So one of my legs had to be modified just so the USB's can be mounted properly.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this again. love it!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks good but could be better

Pros: Easy to put together
Fits all components
Low cost
pretty

Cons: Protective paper a pain to remove
Main board area sags under load
Not the best instructions

Other Thoughts: When optical or hard disks are not used (M.2s in my case) the weight from the mainboard, graphics card and PSU cause the largest board to bend and made me uneasy about plugging in anything else to the system. Was initially going to test an SLI configuration however with the bend of the board I chose not to in case it broke. Would recommend to the manufacture make the largest board thicker for this reason.

4 out of 5 eggsReasonably Complete Test Bench Case

Pros: 1. Allows a complete desktop to be assembled/displayed.
2. Parts are packed/organized into plastic envelopes
3. Hard plastic screw/hardware organizer included
4. Step-by-step assembly instructions included
5. Came packed and protected in styrofoam and in good condition except for MB connector ribbon cable.
6. Fit and finish of parts is good.
7. Seems to be made of durable and good quality.

Cons: Requires a couple of hours of tedious labor to remove protective vinyl.
Motherboard case connector ribbon cable was not in good shape and was kinked. I haven't tested it yet, but hope the wires are not broken/shorted.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am pleased with the product other than the apparent damage to the cable. I would buy it again.

Pros: It was very easy to set up if u could under stand the instructions lots of extra peaces

Cons: My usb 3 cable is pretty much at a 90 angle cause the where it comes of the little board that's in this the leg is directly in the way

4 out of 5 eggsFor Die Hard D.I.Y.R'S

Pros: other people can edit their reviews for updates, i cannot...!..?..!!.. it works to serve a purpose. i got updated usb 3 port...!!!!

Cons: scratch guard paper cut with panels, very difficult to remove, has a shiny side , so of corse the shiny side gets dust and fingerprints at an insane rate, quantity, and speed

Other Thoughts: should make it easier to remove paper (brown tape), wish there was a non shiny version, there was a white version but it was very limited edition , maybe.?.

3 out of 5 eggsAnnoyed is Understatement

Pros: maybe functional , cheap

Cons: brown paper covering the shiny side of the acrylic (fancy plastic)...
i bought this, cause it was cheap , i dont care if it has scratches... im having to spend far too long (time) on remove-ing the brown fire hazard paper from the all the parts

Other Thoughts: maybe show us that there is "number 2 informal expletive deleted" (sounds like that is a wrap ) brown paper on the surface of the parts maybe

2 out of 5 eggsDecent bench case

Pros: Seems to be fairly well designed.
Provides gloves so you don't leave fingerprints everywhere.

Cons: Damaged in shipping, and DIYPC refused to send me replacements for the power toggles and usb ports. I've already got this setup with my components so I'm not sending in an entire bench case for replacement when the cables are the only things that are damaged.

Other Thoughts: Can seem a bit flimsy, especially if you don't make use of both drive bays. I'm impressed with how the drive bays lock in place.

The gloves were a nice touch, but the instructions left a lot to be desired. Took several hours to peel off the protective paper and assemble everything, so be ready to tuck in and work.

The PCI bars and the PSU mounts feel shaky, but it works for a bench case.

4 out of 5 eggsNice work bench

Pros: Works well for swapping out parts and quick testing.

Cons: It looks a bit cheap but then again I did not spend to much on it so I got what I payed for.

Other Thoughts: Might get a second for testing AMD parts out as the main one I have setup is for testing on an older Intel.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Great test bench or place to pre build a system before moving into a permanent case. Couple minor issues but way more convenient than using a case.

Cons: The way the PSU bolts on can be a hassle. The Expansion card holders aren't that great.

Other Thoughts: I ended up getting a power cord with a 90 degree end so it fits better. Tough to get to the PSU power switch. Some motherboards I have to remove the board before I can remove the aux power cable because it's a tight fit between the CPU cooler and PSU.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but a bit floppy

Pros: Cheap
Lots of options
Smaller profile
Light
Portable
Multiple motherboard sizes supported

Cons: For me it's a bit on the floppy side of things but it's holding up well.

Other Thoughts: A lot of people say they have trouble with the directions for me I was able to look at the picture and assemble it without much trouble. Just need a bit of (un)common sense and a bit of time to put it together.
