2 out of 5 eggsOkay, once your build is finished.

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: The case comes with five fans and as far as I can tell they are Enermax fans, at least the front and top fans are. And I'll probably keep them for my next build.

Cons: The cable management in this case is almost useless. It's there, but I had to fight harder to get everything in then it was probably worth. I have to have my PCIe power cables sit in the bottom of the case.

The drive cages are not too SSD friendly. You can do it, but you need to have a straight SATA cable because the SSD sits in the middle of the cage. My motherboard came with SATA cables so I did not think buying extras. I ended up having to use an adapter that came with the case to mount my SSD in the 5.25in bay.

Speaking of that adapter, as far as I can tell, screws are supposed to stop turning at a point. Most did, but I'm sure I will never be able to use that adapter again and I'll have to use something like double sided tape to use my SSD again.

I miss the days before tool-less drive bays? This case uses a sort of spring push and slide thing that just gets in the way. I spent five minutes trying to get the first one in.

After the build was done I had some issues putting the windowed side panel on. I was trying to hide my PCIe power cables in the bottom drive cage, but there was not enough room for them and the panel. Because of this, they are just bunched up next to the power supply. And even after that the panel did not want to stay, I ended up having to hold it with one hand and putting in the thumb screw with the other.

Other Thoughts: Like other reviews, I thought that this case had a hot swap bay at the top. I had looked this case up on YouTube, but was only able to a video for the Skyline case. I had thought that this was the same, just with a window'ed side panel, but this is not the same case. I double checked and nothing talks about a hot swap bay, and if that was a feature of this case, it was be somewhere.

All in all, I don't think I will ever buy another case that is not from one of the more popular manufactures. I'm going to be switching out my CPU cooler at some point, and I'm dreading the day I have to. I might just buy a new case with my upgrades.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: This case is great:
-It is large enough to manage cables and all your hardware without squeezing anything in there, but not too large.
-I like all the room for fans.
-It has a USB 3.0 port on the front.
-It has room for all the Hard Drives you want.
-The top part has fan controllers
-The front has a nice open window for viewing your machine

Cons: -Only 1 USB 3.0 port on the front

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my Girlfriend's birthday. As soon as I saw this and started building my lady's PC, I wanted one for myself. Everything goes in very smoothly, and the case itself feels really good (my current case requires a bit of elbow grease to do anything).

1 out of 5 eggsVery Small, very poorly thought-out and constructed case

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Good dust filtration, which you cannot remove for cleaning. Built in fan control. Comes with fans.

Cons: Extremely small for a "full tower" as was advertised at the time of purchase. So I will commend DIY for at least amending this, but this does not make up for the fact that the build quality is terrible. The side panels are literally buckling to hold in the cables to my very modest build. This case comes with a single USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports, the USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port have died. If it weren't for my ASUS sabertooth's excellent number of built-in USB ports I simply would not be able to use my computer. The USB's for the tower is in at about a 30 degree angle on my motherboard because there simply is not enough room in the case for it to go in straight, im sure after over a year of use the pins are bent and I wouldn't be surprised if they would not work if I unplugged it. One of the pre-installed fans died within a few months and the window cracked just from picking up the case to move it right after purchase. I will never buy another DIY product again and I suggest everyone else to do the same.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Works well when tested. Haven't had an issue with "smoking" as others have seemed to mention. Very well put together and not too expensive. Lights and window are a nice touch. Overall very happy

Cons: Included screws are not the strongest. Broke the head of one while installing the motherboard. Not a big deal just annoying. And optical drive bay screws are not the best, the drive will slide if not reinforce with additional screws on the opposite side.

Other Thoughts: I have been a satisfied customer for many years and the quick fulfillment of the order, timely delivery, and excellent customer service goes to show why I I keep coming back to Newegg. Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsNot completely as depicted

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Ok case, lots of fans for the money and they were wired correctly for me, unlike some of the other reviews on here.

Cons: One of the pictures shows a doc for a sata drive, the connector is not included, so you have a hole in the case. I have not been able to track down the part so I can buy it even after dealing with manufacturer and newegg. Manufacturer even emailed back that the connector was not in any of the pictures, and a link....and the connector is still in the top down view of the case.

1 out of 5 eggsMissing hot swap.

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Seems like an alright case if you don't mind the false advertising about the hot swap bay. Definitely not a full tower though.

Cons: I got this case specifically for the hot swap bay so I am really disappointed that it is missing. After reading through other reviews, it seems that many customers have the same issue and the manufacturer does nothing to correct the issue.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was great and issued an RMA right away.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Case

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Fans installed
Build in USB, Fan Speeds
See inside case
Good airflow

Cons: Wiring of the Case incorrect
Said it was hi tower, actually an average mid tower *doesnt fit my tower supply so it sits outside of it

Other Thoughts: If you buy this, its eliminates a lot of the DIY part of getting the fans, wiring them (even though my case came with messed up wiring and had a smoking issue) and its got everything you need, just make sure you note the dimensions

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Case

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Outstanding case, fans are placed for optimal air flow and run off of the power supply. Cool read glow with a controller on the top of the case.

Cons: Wish power and reset buttons were on the side or front of the case or were slide buttons instead of push so you dont accidentally bump the button.

5 out of 5 eggsGood gaming case

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: My cousin built a gaming system with this case. Very cool looking- 2 x LED red fan x front, 2 x led red fan top ; Super cooling inside the case with all the components running; size is right to fit my VGA 350mm length. Overall I'm happy with this system built with this Adventurer-9601R case.

Cons: None so far. if top can fit 240mm radiator then could be better.

1 out of 5 eggsbad bad bad

This review is from: DIYPC Adventurer-9601R Black/Red Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fan and 1 x USB 3.0

Pros: Semi spacious and 5 fans, color scheme

Cons: Top I/O panel came wired wrong and upon first power on of system it started smoking through the USB ports and top fans... Upon further inspection it was the power cable from I/o panel it. It completely melted the wire down to the molex to molex connector from power supply... Luckily didn't melt those.

Just. Melted that wire very scary seeing your tower start smoking on initial boot up... Very glad it didn't fry any other components
