Features

Antec Computer Case

The Solano 1000 is constructed from Japanese SECC for extra durability and features a metal mesh front for optimal airflow. For card and CPU cooling, the side panel houses a blue LED 230mm intake fan and the two blue LED 140mm fans on the front panel cool HDDs. The top panel 230mm blue LED fan and the rear 120mm fan vent heat to minimize system slowdown.

Push your rig to the limit with water cooling. Holes are predrilled in the rear panel for external radiator installation. When not in use, rubber grommets keep the dust out. The Solano 1000's tool-free design makes adding drives and expansion cards a snap with thumb screws so you can get back to into the fight fast. Build your gaming system with the AZZA Solano 1000 and dominate the competition today!

3 out of 5 eggsALMOST great

Pros: - Good air flow
- room for h100i
- Tons of external 5.25"-ers
- Front ports
- Solid

Cons: - Side fan dips in to case
- Cable man depth behind board
- HDD Cages take up 4.5 5.25" bays!
- Missing pieces
- Lacking dust filters

Other Thoughts: First, azza is CRAZY for killing off the Fusion 3000. It can't be found and that case was awesome!!

This thing is almost a home run. My primary need was at least 4 hot swap HDD bays so I added a 4 x 3.5/2.5" hot swap rack which takes up 3 5.25" bays. I needed a case with a lot of 5.25" bays for this, then DVD burner, etc, so this fits the bill well! There's an adapter for EVERYTHING you can imagine for 5.25" bays.

As many have said, the side fan annoyingly dips in to the case. This can cause collisions. Use a liquid cooler and you're fine. My GPUs' power cables came awfully close.

The area behind the board, for running cables, needs to be about 25% deeper to be perfect. I have to press a bit to get it closed.

I'm not an LED guy but the lit fans do look pretty good. Easy enough to kill if you want. This thing really should have dust filters too!

The drive cages are nice except they take up about 4.5 5.25" bays for some reason so you end up wasting a couple of your 5.25s. I ripped em both out and am using hot swap bays anyway.

All in all its a good case, at least for what I need it for. I bought one for my personal rig to test it out for the pro builds I was doing but there's better cases for a home/gaming rig IMO.

I have 2 R9 270s in mine, which are 10" long. I think if you got around 11" long on your card it would be pretty darn tight.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: This thing looks good.
It is huge. Enough space for anything you need.
The fans keep everything very cool. There is a jet of cool air coming out the top.
Air filters!!
Giant fan!

Cons: Red fans, blue power button. Why?
Fans are a little loud.
Heavy.

Other Thoughts: Came with a small chip in the plastic cover. Barely noticeable.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Been using this for about 10 months, and so far it seems to be a great case for the price. I paid only $40, but I would value it at at least $80-$100.

Cons: The fan lights are too bright. Not worth withholding an egg though.

Other Thoughts: The fan lights are very bright, and due to the placement of the case, I disabled them so they wouldn't bother me.

3 out of 5 eggsNot the best bang for your buck

Pros: -Fans still running 3 and a half years after I bought it
-decent cable space (plenty if you have modular psu)
-easy to remove and clean grate on the front of the case
-heavy duty feet

Cons: -The top part of the case is made of plastic and breaks very easily. I broke it the first day I got it during assembly
-not the easiest to clean
-case came slightly bent where the side panels screw in
-side panels don't screw in all the way

Other Thoughts: Decent but I won't buy for my next build.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth

Pros: Lights
Cheap
Front USB / Audio placement
Accessory area on top of case

Cons: Cheaply made (Plastic)
No handle
Cable management
Case Fan an is too big, had to take it out for aftermarket cpu fan to fit.

Other Thoughts: Only regret in my build is not waiting a little longer to buy a better case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Lots of room for hardware, easy to work in, aesthetically pleasing

Cons: Side fan will not allow for some, larger cpu coolers. Front USB shorted out after 3 years, had to unplug to get system to boot.

Other Thoughts: Great case for the most part. If you're going to use an after stock cpu cooler, beware that the side fan may not allow the case to close after cpu cooler is installed. I recently upgarded to the ZALMAN 120mm and I had to unmount the 230mm case fan on the side to get the case to close.

3 out of 5 eggsShort out

Pros: Good case. Durable. Aesthetically pleasing. Plenty of room inside.

Cons: After a year or so, the wiring connecting the USB related things to the front of the case shorted out and had to be disconnected from the motherboard. It is also heavy, but not unbearable. Would give 4 or 5 stars if the case wiring didn't fail.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good looking case, plenty of airflow. Would suggest a positive air flow system rather than negative because of the face of the case.

Decent cable management system came with plenty of zip ties and other do-dads to help with this.

*** Mine came with the screws already seated for the motherboard. Was a lovely feature to have already implemented.

Solid and heavy, wouldn't recommend for frequent travelers.

Quiet Fans- Good color LEDS

Cons: WARNING: Larger CPU Coolers Will not fit with the window fan installed, you will have to remove it. Not a giant con considering the large amount of fans already in the case. Case will not close with the taller CPU coolers.

Other Thoughts: I would purchase this again, maybe not over a NZXT phantom but if your looking for something with a solid body and a decent look, i would definitely buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge case

Pros: This case ih huge, if you are looking for a large case that can hold multiple high length graphics cards, I recommend this or the CM HAF X. The case fans use Molex connectors, and if done right can all be connected to a single power cable, as they have both male and female connectors. The case feels quite sturdy, and seems very well made. Included in the box are a few adjustable cable ties, extra motherboard stand-offs, several varieties of screws for mounting your other hardware.

Cons: Not necessarily a con, but you have to remove the hard drive cages in order to install the hard drives properly. My only suggestion would be to install the hard drives before you even install the motherboard, as it gets a bit tight if you are even using a full ATX. It is also a little tight behind the motherboard tray, making cable management a bit tight.

4 out of 5 eggsAZZA Solano 1000 Black Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: Sleek looking case. Displays the computer well. Buttons have a good firmness to them. Fans still running strong over a year into the case being used. Side panel slips into place pretty easily.

Cons: Not the largest case in the world to work with when your dealing with cables and big graphic cards. I found it hard to do good cable management in this system as well.
