4 out of 5 eggsPretty cool

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: -Keeps my computer very cool (I do not OC though), great circulation
-It's very big! It works well for cable management), but remember it will be bigger than it looks
-Looks great, sleek design
-has a nice top panel with SATA, USB, and audio jacks. Also has a nice grooved top to hold external devices or other electronic devices.
-Fan colors are pretty neat and the HUGE fans look pretty sexy
-Love the glass side to show off your hardware

Cons: -could have used a dust filter, particularly for the large fans (you can't find filters that big). I just used pantyhose though, it works fine but is kind of a pain
-One of the large fans (top) was DOA, they sent me another one very quickly, it was great. However, still worth note.
-I found the side fan somewhat loud. Because of my room setup this rests on my desk and the side fan was somewhat loud. Because of the good circulation I opted to just unplug that fan and it then worked silent and cool.
- I do keep my computer where I sleep so if you want to keep on the computer while you sleep the lights may get annoying. I wish there was a switch to turn them off

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very pleased. It has some great design. There are a few issues but they are fixable. This would work great for someone who has heat issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Great Price!

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: Used this case for my first build and to be honest, I'm 100% happy. List of why is as follows:

1. This case is LARGE, it stands tall and is easy to work around in.
2. Great airflow via built in fans. All of which run extremely quiet so far.
3. I was able to mount my CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler right to the top of the case even with the very large exhaust fan on top still in place.
4. Tons of slots for multiple drives and 2 intake fans right in front to keep them cool.
5. No silly "quick clip" garbage to break. Most of the screws are star screwdriver head thumb screws.
6. Very strong build quality and a sick look to go with it.

Cons: I'm so happy with this case I really have to nit pick to find some:

1. If you are lazy with your cable management and want to just throw your cables behind the MB, you will have problems. The backing plate will bulge.
2. Blue LED power button instead of red.
3. (Actually a Con) No places for dust shields. With the amount of air this case sucks in and pushes out, case can get dusty pretty quick.

Other Thoughts: I see A LOT of people complaining and taking eggs off because they don't get that the drive bays can come out of the FRONT of the case. You DON'T have to remove your MB or anything. Just slide those babies right out of the front and slap the drives in :)

All in all, very happy with the case, so great for the price and for an awesome design. From a first time builders perspective, couldn't have asked for more.

4 out of 5 eggsThe red

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: the look of the over all case is impressive. the metel is quite sturdy and is easy to cool. i Put some led lights in the case to give it a flashy look which was a good idea.

Cons: The metel slides on the case bend very easly i made the mistake of setting them on my couch and it slid off and it bent. nothing that i couldnt fix but i would like to know if there is anyway i can buy the side pannels

Other Thoughts: its over all look in impressive

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Great Price, DOA Fan

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: It's big. It also looks really sick. Seems like it has great ventilation and a nice front end console.

Cons: -One of the big was DOA. The LEDs lit up but the fan did not spin. It's really annoying because I don't want to return the whole thing (take out all my components and lose my computer for a few weeks to a month) but I would also like to get a new fan. We will see what happens on the return end and then maybe I'll rate it again.
-It's big.
-While there are huge fans there are no filters for these huge fans. Could be an issue with dust. Additionally, I couldn't find any filters that big! So I went and bought pantyhose.

3 out of 5 eggsKinda a pain to cable manage

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: This case has the privilege of holding my first computer build. When I got it, it was bigger than i thought but looked amazing. It does what it is supposed to do; hold the parts, look good, and keep everything cool. The 200mm fans on the side and top keep not only the computer parts cool, but also circulates air in my room, so there is a plus. The inside is all painted red and goes great with my gigabyte a88x-f2a88x. But once you start building it can be a pain.

Cons: The first con comes from the back. There is little room for cable management and is all around a pain. There are no brackets for HDDs or SSDs so either buy ahead or figure something out when it gets there. HDD have no problem but SSDs do. You can Jerry Rig something up with the plastic case that the SSD came in and the special brackets they gave you. Also do not get a heatsink that is 155mm tall. You can sneak in a 154mm heatsink with the top pipes intruding into the fan but not actually hitting the fan blades. Anything bigger just remove the 200mm side fan.

Other Thoughts: I do not think this is a terrible case or anything but you do have to know what you are getting. I do think this should be at a lower price. I recommend getting a case that has ample room both front and back. I do think if you like the look and can get past the limitations, then go for it. If you can't, then look somewhere else.

3 out of 5 eggsNice Case

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: Over all nice case has plenty of room very sturdy and no cooling issues. except a DOA top fan taking off 2 eggs for that since a new one cost $20+.

Cons: TOP FAN CAME DOA, used a meter and all leads are getting power guess its a bad motor to bad its a $24 replacement for a fan that dosen't even have a speed control.

Other Thoughts: someone mentions there is no room to mount a radiator this is not true i have a dual 120mm radiator mounted on top and its working perfect love the case despite have a lack of Quality control on there components.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: Great case with a lot of room. The fans are big and well placed for great air circulation.

Cons: Because the side fan is so big the side panel would not close with my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler mounted. The power cables to my graphics cards were also in the way.

Other Thoughts: The 2 cons were really on me for not doing enough research (there are other reviews that mention the same issues) so i still rate the case 5 eggs.

3 out of 5 eggsCooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: Nice colors.
Seems roomy sorda.
Love the big fans if you can use them all.
Seems light for carrying.

Cons: It looks roomy like everyone else says, till you start putting everything in it. This is my friend's build that I worked on. I have a CM Storm Stryker and it seems to have much much more room compared to this one. Case didn't come with a manual. Cables from the front are not solid colors their the bright ugly ones. Most case companies will at least put the cheap black type of coating on it. Other than that, it was pretty over all. However the biggest Con for this case is.

DOES NOT WORK WITH Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. The side fan will hit up against the CPU Cooler. So if your using the Hyper 212, do not get this case unless you get a different CPU Cooler.

Also didn't come with SSD bracket to hold the SSD in.

2 out of 5 eggsNot very well designed

This review is from: AZZA Solano 1000R Black / Red Japanese SECC Steel/Metal mesh in front MicroATX/ATX/Full ATX Computer Case

Pros: - Holds all of my hardware
- Large (see cons)
- Good out-of-the-box cooling (see cons)
- Lots of screws included
- Very solid build quality

Cons: - Large amount of space is not well utilized
- Side fan was ridiculously loud, had to be removed
- Poor support for liquid cooling
- Cable management space is very small
- No rubber grommets
- Poorly designed hard drive cages/front intake
- Very little support for 2.5" drives
- No cut outs underneath the motherboard
- front panel cables too short
- Heavy, though this is a result of its build quality

Other Thoughts: I purchased this case for my first build. At that time it seemed like a good choice. Months later, however, I'm not at all impressed.

This case is very large. To me, this would normally be a good thing as it would have plenty of space for a whole lot of hardware. In this case, though, the space is difficult to fill. The top intake fan cannot be swapped for something like two 120mm fans and a radiator, which there is plenty of room for. Similarly, there is no way to mount a radiator at the front either. The fans are mounted directly on the hard drive cages. This means that if you want to remove one or both of the cages to make space for something else (like a radiator), you'll be left with nothing but empty space as there is no other way to mount anything there without modification. Even if there had been a better mounting solution for the fans, removing the hard drive cages leaves you with no other place to mount storage. Now that we're seeing many other ways of mounting drives in newer cases, this is a big problem.

While there is too much space in some areas, there is also too little space in others. With the side fan installed, there is not much space for tall CPU heatsinks and you may find it difficult to fit in a larger graphics card as well. Behind the motherboard there is very little space for cable routing. I couldn't even get the side panel to attach properly with all of cables going where they need to be. If you need to use cable extensions (which is likely due to the height of the case, the 8 pin power connector is difficult to reach), have a lot of hardware with a lot of cables to run, or have a power supply with very thick cables, you may find difficulty closing the panel properly with impeccable cable routing.

Additionally, the stock cables are just too short. The front panel audio connector barely got to the port on my motherboard. Also, without cut outs underneath the motherboard tray, the cables caused the system to look less elegant.

The side fan was too loud for me to use. I'm not sure what the reason for this is as the top fan is identical but is very quiet. I don't know whether it was a problem with my power supply, molex connector, or the fan itself. I wouldn't take off points from the case for this issue due to my uncertainty on its roots, but it's something worth noting.

All of this said, I was very impressed by the build quality. The case is almost entirely built of steel, with the exceptions being the top panel, front panel, and drive cages. However, all of that heavy steel results in an overall heavy case. If that's an issue for you, you'll definitely want to look elsewhere.

Conclusion: I would not recommend this case. There are many newer cases coming onto the market within the same price point with much more impressive features and designs. With the enclosure industry moving very quickly, this case has simply become obsolete against its newer counterparts.
