Adding new drives is a breeze with the included HDD cage that holds up to eight drives and easily unscrews for quick removal.

Features

Antec Computer Case

The Solano 1000 is constructed from Japanese SECC for extra durability and features a metal mesh front for optimal airflow. For card and CPU cooling, the side panel houses a blue LED 230mm intake fan and the two blue LED 140mm fans on the front panel cool HDDs. The top panel 230mm blue LED fan and the rear 120mm fan vent heat to minimize system slowdown.

Push your rig to the limit with water cooling. Holes are predrilled in the rear panel for external radiator installation. When not in use, rubber grommets keep the dust out. The Solano 1000's tool-free design makes adding drives and expansion cards a snap with thumb screws so you can get back to into the fight fast. Build your gaming system with the AZZA Solano 1000 and dominate the competition today!

5 out of 5 eggs6 years later, still satisfied

Pros: + No plastic snap-ins. All fastening points are thumb screws, screws, and/or metal tabs.
+ SECC steel is by definition resistant to corrosion, so if the case gets terribly dusty you can just remove all the electronics and water wash the case panels and frame.
+ Easy to carry even if you're a 5'3" weakling, once you get the hang of it.

Cons: - No fan filters, just grilles of various kinds.
- Doesn't come with 2.5" brackets.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy and spacious

Pros: I bought this case for a server containing several hard-drives. The front case fans keep everything very cool. There's enough space to put anything you could want in here. It has a nice design to it. The hard-drives were easy to install.

Cons: Fans are a little loud. After a little bit I stopped noticing them. Maybe you could get a fan controller to bring the volume down a little bit. Or just don't plug them all in. That's really nit-picky though.

Other Thoughts: I will take a look at AZZA next time I need a case. This was not one of those flimsy, off-brand things. I am happy with my purchase.

1 out of 5 eggsNot happy after 1 year

Pros: Spent 5 minutes trying to think of a pro. There aren't any.

Cons: Color
Cramped
Very little space behind mobo to route cords/wires
Heavy
Side case fan useless with CPU cooler other than stock.

Other Thoughts: After a year of dealing with this case's short comings, I am glad to have finally replaced it with a Corsair 760T.

It originally came with a Combo during 2013 black Friday sale. Now it's in the garbage where it belongs.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case, Awesome Price

Pros: Extremely good air flow. Large size. Nice looking LED's. Well performing fans

Cons: Fans can be louder then expected

Other Thoughts: I am amazed by this case and it helped me more than I thought it would. I bought a processor that had a few bad reviews about overheating but with a case with this type of airflow makes over heating practically impossible. I have this case in my office so the noise of the fans doesn't bother me at all and they really aren't that loud BUT between the multiple LED's and the fans I wouldn't recommend putting it in an area like a dorm or bedroom as it can be obnoxious. All in all it's a good case though

5 out of 5 eggslooks and works like new after 2 years.

Pros: lots of room to expand. keeps everything super cool. all fans working no problems on both cases.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have a red one and a blue one. both are just great cases. front fans can be moved up and dvd put at the bottom. front comes of by just pulling it up from bottom. you can slip in new hard drives threw the front of case no fighting cables. can hide most ps cables behind side panel.
ordering a third case.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty cool

Pros: -Keeps my computer very cool (I do not OC though), great circulation
-It's very big! It works well for cable management), but remember it will be bigger than it looks
-Looks great, sleek design
-has a nice top panel with SATA, USB, and audio jacks. Also has a nice grooved top to hold external devices or other electronic devices.
-Fan colors are pretty neat and the HUGE fans look pretty sexy
-Love the glass side to show off your hardware

Cons: -could have used a dust filter, particularly for the large fans (you can't find filters that big). I just used pantyhose though, it works fine but is kind of a pain
-One of the large fans (top) was DOA, they sent me another one very quickly, it was great. However, still worth note.
-I found the side fan somewhat loud. Because of my room setup this rests on my desk and the side fan was somewhat loud. Because of the good circulation I opted to just unplug that fan and it then worked silent and cool.
- I do keep my computer where I sleep so if you want to keep on the computer while you sleep the lights may get annoying. I wish there was a switch to turn them off

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very pleased. It has some great design. There are a few issues but they are fixable. This would work great for someone who has heat issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Great Price!

Pros: Used this case for my first build and to be honest, I'm 100% happy. List of why is as follows:

1. This case is LARGE, it stands tall and is easy to work around in.
2. Great airflow via built in fans. All of which run extremely quiet so far.
3. I was able to mount my CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler right to the top of the case even with the very large exhaust fan on top still in place.
4. Tons of slots for multiple drives and 2 intake fans right in front to keep them cool.
5. No silly "quick clip" garbage to break. Most of the screws are star screwdriver head thumb screws.
6. Very strong build quality and a sick look to go with it.

Cons: I'm so happy with this case I really have to nit pick to find some:

1. If you are lazy with your cable management and want to just throw your cables behind the MB, you will have problems. The backing plate will bulge.
2. Blue LED power button instead of red.
3. (Actually a Con) No places for dust shields. With the amount of air this case sucks in and pushes out, case can get dusty pretty quick.

Other Thoughts: I see A LOT of people complaining and taking eggs off because they don't get that the drive bays can come out of the FRONT of the case. You DON'T have to remove your MB or anything. Just slide those babies right out of the front and slap the drives in :)

All in all, very happy with the case, so great for the price and for an awesome design. From a first time builders perspective, couldn't have asked for more.

Other Thoughts: its over all look in impressive
