1 out of 5 eggs3 month update

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks nice. Paint seems to be of good scratch resistant quality.

Cons: Where to begin? After much trial and error I finally figured out the wiring to make the LED's work. which was nice until the wires for them broke, due in part to being about the thickness of a human hair, and also to them being about 6 inches shorter than they should be.

Case gets terrible airflow, fins on top are horrible design. Also, I'm not sure if newegg just got it wrong, or the manufacturer did, but this case DOES NOT support 140mm fans on the top, only 120's. Which is great when you believe the given info and purchase a dual 140mm fan radiator for the water cooler (that you will undoubtedly need because the fins allow for so little airflow that air cooling is not a good idea, even with my EVO 212). Thankfully in Ratx setup you can put said radiator at the bottom (which is weird because with most graphics cards cooling setups you end up having to make the top fans into intake instead of exhaust, and yet again have bad airflow without filtration). The bottom of the case is about the nicest part. can fit plenty of fans down there and they get good airflow and are filtered. just wish I didn't have to have a wonky airflow with everything upside down.

In otherwords, good idea, good looks, don't waste your money (unless if you can it on sale for a really cheap price, like under 100$, even then you'll still want to mod the top, and buy soldering equipment for when the led wires break which puts this case at way too much effort for not enough benefit).

Other Thoughts: AZZA's look like fun, attractive case's, but after my experience with this case, I will not be buying AZZA in the future. Also the provided fans are junk, the molex connectors it comes with are there simply to annoy you it seems (or cause a short because someone forgot to glue the metal connectors into the hole's on the plastic molex connector, meaning they will come out and expose energized metal to the inside of your case eventually), if you did buy this, go back through newegg and buy two 140mm fans, and 3 120's for the side. also two 230's for the top since they suck as well.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Case

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Very large case! Stands almost as tall as my desk. I'd say it's probably 2 1/2 feet tall. Excellent cable management, the R/ATX is a nice touch but I don't use it hence I had to take off the top and feed the usb's eSata and power cables through the other side (just to double check that nothing was pinched because of a review I had read about this case and nothing was pinched so all is well) there's probably 8-10 thumb screws holding the mobo tray in and the standoffs for the mobo use a really odd screw which was kind of a pain to find in the little bag of hardware they give you but overall, great case! Mostly steel with a few parts being plastic. The 5.25" bays have easily removable screens that you just pinch to take out. The LED's can be turned off but the button they're wired to also shuts off the top 230's and the bottom 120's which for me isn't a problem but some people like to have fans separate from their LED's so there's that. Would definitely advise taking the top off even if you aren't going to use the standard ATX form the case can provide JUST to check for pinched wires. Don't want to mess anything up!

Cons: The only con I can think of so far is the motherboard standoff screws to secure the motherboard to the tray were difficult to find xD Nothing to deduct an egg for though. The 230 mm fans on the top didn't push as much air as I was expecting them to but I was planning on replacing them with some bitfenix spectre pro's for a nice red lighting effect in the case.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case for the money? Yes.

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Reversible motherboard mounting option. - HUGE DEAL.
Excellent air flow from lower, side, upper and hard drive bay fans.
Filters... So many dust filters.
Dual Power Supply mounting, front, back or both.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Only a critique, having the maximum amount of fans installed from the factory instead of the ability to add more fans. Just a personal touch that I think would be awesome. No other criticism. This is a GREAT CASE.

2 out of 5 eggsI really wanted to like this case...

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Spacious.
Nice Looking.

Cons: Sent with wrong hardware.
Motherboard screws did not fit their hex-mount partners.
Supplied hard drive brackets were too big for case.
Motherboard tray feels flimsy, relies on PCI/PCI-Express card mounting between motherboard and case to reduce the flimsyness of it when not in the case, which puts additional stress on the sockets

Other Thoughts: So, I am not sure if I just got unlucky in the lottery of these cases. I loved Azza. My previous case was a Solano 1000, which was destroyed by the moving company when I changed states. That case saved my components.

So I decided to upgrade the size since I had to replace the case anyhow. First impressions: I was disappointed that the plastic to steel ratio was much higher in this case than the previous. Also, the motherboard tray felt a bit flimsy. My biggest issues revolve around installation. None of the supplied case screws matched up with the motherboard mounts. I took what I could from the old case and replaced the mounts for now, but I will have to purchase additional motherboard mounts and screws to fix this problem. Additionally, I have six hard drives, where the case supplied five sliding trays and one set of mounting brackets. The mounting brackets supplied were actually too wide to use in this case. I cannot find a seller who sells the trays outright and the brackets I am using do not fit quite right but will do for now.

I do like the amount of space in the case and the room, but not being supplied the correct mounting hardware kind of put a damper on me liking the case.

Azza, Newegg, or anyone, any suggestions?

5 out of 5 eggsazza 9000 gigantic

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Plenty of room for all your water cooling needs fits h100i with p/p in bottom with ease. easy tool less design works awesome. reversible motherboard tray really helps to mount your board and cable management is really well thought .very sturdy

Cons: none at this time

Other Thoughts: mounting screws and standoffs was not threaded right so had to use some old ones from another build.

3 out of 5 eggsFairly good

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Large size. Looks great. plenty of room for wire routing. Versatile.

Cons: Where should I begin? The l.e.d. light strips on the outside of the case do not work. I might have them hooked up wrong but I am not entirely sure because the "instructions" are a complete joke. and focus mainly on stuff that's pretty much either common knowledge or easy to figure out on your own. Also the cover for the front mounted power supply has clips that will likely snap off the first time you remove it. Thankfully it has screws that will hold it in place regardless. To be honest AZZA should just leave the clips off because they serve no purpose other than to make you feel like you just broke your case (probably voiding the warranty, probably done on purpose for this reason). Then there's the airflow issue. This case seems like it gets OK air flow if you have good fans. The problem is the fins at the top are not adjustable and do not allow for much exhaust flow, despite the manufacturer's talk about vertical airflow, most of it comes out of the back as a result of this engineering flaw. They'd be better off to just go with a grill or mesh. Finally the case controls are either flimsy as hell and worthless, or I have them hooked up wrong due to the wires being unmarked as to which side is positive and which side is negative on the connector.

Other Thoughts: BE CAREFUL IF YOU REMOVE THE TOP COVER. The wires are not long AT ALL and will likely bend the pins when you do remove the cover. Other than that its an ok case, just made cheaply and certain things not thought out well at all.

4 out of 5 eggsQuality case

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Great airflow
-reverse mother board setup's are great for airflow for video cards and heat dispersion is great!
-lots of room i was able to fit a modify the case to fit my 420mm radiator with 3 x 140 bitfenix fan's runs very cool and quiet the case does support 480mm radiators with no modifications!

along with space for more radiators! i will most likely add radiators l8r on. keeps my i7 4770k and r9 290 very cool and quiet! though the design of the case is really not keeping the stuff quiet or cool its the liquid cooling setup that i am able to fit due to this case being so spacious its amazing how much room is in this case i love it!

Cons: -aside from small aesthetic flaws nothing too major i think there was a scratch on my case when it arrived i feel like the packaging wasnt as good as it should have been on possibly neweggs side but after talking it over with customer support newegg gave me a gift card to make up for their mistakes and everything is good and i am very happy with this purchase!

1 out of 5 eggsgpu doesn't fit right

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: good ventilation. good build quality in general.

Cons: minor: the front bezels get knocked out too easily. They don't include the screws that they use to hold their fans in place (you can't use generic screws) so if you want to switch direction (for in-blowing fans) you're going to have trouble.

major: I cannot access three out of four ports on my GPU!! The frame does not expose the whole back of the GPU so that on a standard motherboard with discrete GPU configuration only one port is available on a $500 gpu!!! This is a big problem.

Other Thoughts: What the heck. If you're going to put a case together at this price point, the basic mechanical issue must be solved. Things need to fit together. Period.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent at Best

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: So I bought this case because I loved its features and its looks. It was my first build and I thought that having a full-tower behemoth of a case would make the build process easier. I was right.
-Big & spacious
-Easy wire management
-Red LEDs look nice, even better with a few red LED fans
-USB 3.0

Cons: -I don't know if this was a problem with my motherboard (Gigabyte UD5H LGA 1155) or the case, but the motherboard doesn't sit far enough back in the case to reach the cutout. The I/O panel is somewhat inset, so the I/O shield that came with the motherboard would've gotten in the way, and thus was never installed.
-The entire thing feels like it's well-built, with the exception of the front panel. It broke within the first hour of building, and despite trying tape and glue to secure it, it hasn't worked yet. If you put any USB device into it, especially on the right, it was unhook itself and drop down into the case. Sometimes pulling the USB device out will fix this, sometimes it won't.
-My front audio jack stopped working too. Possibly related, not sure, it just suddenly cut out on me in the middle of a game at one point. Still haven't determined the cause.
-It weighs 36lb.
-It's pretty hot in there. My airflow might just be bad, I tried adding a few extra fans, but my GPU runs at >90ºC at full load, and my CPU gets pretty hot even with a Noctua NH D-14 cooling it (IC Diamond thermal paste).
-Definitely not worth the $160 I paid for it.

Other Thoughts: I probably would've RMA'd this case shortly after building, but some of the components were a hassle to install and I just wanted to use the dang thing! I just bought a new case to either replace it or be used with a new build, I have't decided yet. This time a mid tower. Personally I think mid towers are the way to go when building a computer, and would suggest a nice mid tower to anyone looking to build as opposed to the monolith that I currently have.

5 out of 5 eggsWow this thing is HUGE!

This review is from: AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Beautiful case, and the R-ATX option which puts your PCI-E slots towards the top. Coupled with the Corsair H100i processor cooler, I have never had a more stable and overclockable system. This case is HUGE, but I am quite happy with it.

Cons: Due to its size, it is very heavy. This does not really concern me, since performance is more important that portability.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, if you want a large case that will accommodate whatever you want to put in it, I recommend this Azza case. She's pretty, and useful. Coupled with some water cooling solutions (VERY easy to install in this case), my AMD 8120 runs stable OCed at an even 4 GHz. I cannot recommend this case enough. Build quality is high, and the configuration options give you enough room to expand.
