5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: This is only my 2nd build but i LOVE this case. Nice design. Plenty of fan options. The tool-less drive bays work well. Plenty of space inside and very functional.

Cons: Would have liked another fan stock but I knew it going it and they're cheap. Definitely not enough to dock an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: Alright.
Great cooling options.
Great price
The inside is also painted, which I LOVE!
as mentioned before, It looks good enough to be a low end machine, but can still casually fit in an office, exactly what I was going for, and the Cougar Volant absolutley nailed it.

Cons: It could have more room for some cable management and it only came with two standoffs, used them both and they seemed to work fine.

Other Thoughts: It holds 8 fans, I bought 4. (only as many as my mobo will allow) :/ oh well. Their two LED fans, which look sick coming out of the black mesh in the front, and move ALOT of air. But this isnt about the fans. I fell in love with this case from the first time I saw the thumbnail of it. I'm never building with anything else again.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case/Great Price

Pros: After purchasing and building with the Solution AF-2 case, I looked into this one for the next build. It's a great case for the money, and has features that many of the "high dollar" cases lack. It seems that a good deal of thought went into designing this case......screwless mounting of drives, lots of room for fans, and I very much appreciated that the wires to the front panel are not attached to the front cover! (everything is mounted to the chassis and the front cover slips over the power, reset, and other front ports. It also has built in cable routing, which makes for a "cleaner" and more accessible interior when the build is completed.
The top mounted "hot swap" for either a 2.5 or 3.5" hard drive is a nice touch.

Cons: The only cons I found in this case are:
1. Mounting two 120mmm fans in the front blocks the 3.5" bay......if you intend to use that bay, you can only install one fan in the front.

2. Mounting "add-on" cards can be a bit tricky because of the single rail system used to secure any/all cards installed.

3. The rubber "feet" on the bottom of the case are "press fitted" into holes, rather then bolted on.....they pop off rather easily if you try to slide the case into a shelf or enclosed area. (But that's very minor)

Other Thoughts: This is one of the best cases I've used for the money. It has lots of features found in much higher priced cases. Between the cases and the fans they produce, I believe Cougar is a company to watch!

4 out of 5 eggsLet's be serious

Pros: Price... C'mon, this thing is a steal for $50.

Cooling... It also has a lot of cooling options that most cases in this low price range don't usually consider.

Looks... It wasn't a factor for me, but it's cool enough to pass for a low end gamer and plain enough to blend in at an office.

Cons: Not a lot of cons here. As a veteran builder, I only found 1 major complaint from what I was expecting. The top mount hot swap SATA drive is powered by a molex coming out the bottom. It's not a huge problem, but when your working in limited space, molex is not the way to go. Not to mention I had to add a molex out of my modular PS just to power it.

Other Thoughts: People need to look around at other similar priced units if they think this is fragile. It's a low end unit for a reason. If you want something you can pull and pry on, then go drop $150 or more and get a legit case.

I've built enough machines to know you get what you pay for and this does that and a little more. If you're wanting to buy a professional gaming box with warehouse space for cable management, this is not that case.

I'm happy with what I got and would recommend it and even buy another if it matched what I was doing. Just be realistic about what $50 actually gets you in a case and you will be happy.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Seems to be a fine case. Lots of room for long video cards. Has screwless mounts for all drives.
Looks nice and is well built. All rolled edges.

Cons: Could have more room behind motherboard tray for cables, but it's a smaller case so I guess that's expected.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very well built case for price. Plenty of room on the backside of panel for cable management. My fm2a85x extreme 6 mobo was a perfect fit. Fan is quiet and there were no defects on arrival. Plenty of room for upgrades and more fans.

Cons: Fingerprints show on the metal as soon as you look like you're going to touch it. Not a big deal though unless your ocd like me.

2 out of 5 eggsQuality Control

Pros: Beautiful design, nice locations for cable management, spacious, lots of fan slots for air cooling.

Cons: Cheaply built, only comes with 1 fan, but I knew that. Single front USB 3.0 port.

Other Thoughts: Upon opening, there was a a relatively deep crease/indent near the lower right rear corner where the PSU mounts. it was on the side and bottom so it was like it was pinched in. I checked the box and packaging and everything was in perfect shape, so this issue happened sometime between manufacturing and packaging by Cougar. Fearful of having to deal with an RMA, I took a rubber mallet and pliers and got to work, it was easily bendable to as close as I could get without extreme distortion. The side panels are flimsy which overall makes me wonder about the build quality. It seems extremely cheap compared to my $30 no name brand case I purchased a decade ago from a now defunct computer store. I checked the case to make sure I got the right one, as I dont recall any qualms about build quality in reviews, sure enough it was the right one. I really wanted to give this 5 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case for Low Low Price

Pros: For $48.00 this thing is a steal! Its very durable, roughly 95% steel, tons of room for expansion and cables, airflow is extremely efficient, Water cooling support, external 3.5"/2.5" HDD/SSD dock, looks gorgeous.

Cons: Installing an SSD in this is a royal pain. Seriously, if you plan to put an SSD in this beast, it will take you a good 5-10 minutes. The smaller drive bays as pictured above the 3.5" HDD slots aren't actually smaller, its a flex slot so you could use it for a 3.5" card read bay or another HDD. Instead, you have to install the SSD on the floor of the case. This can be a problem with modern sata and power cables, but I didn't run into any issues concerning that.

Fan vents with larger system builds could get in the way, Water cooling support is a tad sketchy. I didn't use water cooling, but from the looks of it, you have to punch out some metal pieces to insert the rubber grommets. Then again, someone buying water cooling would probably be buying a higher-up case so its kind of irrelevant.

Other Thoughts: This is the perfect case for anyone looking to customize their machine on a budget, and still have it look good. Mine fits perfectly inside with a good amount of stuff to boot and I still have loads upon loads of room for a larger GPU or more fans (I already ordered 3 XD) I would highly recommend this case to anyone
