5 out of 5 eggsDon't let the few reviews dissuade you

Pros: This case is very intuitive. Building with it was easy and everything fit in it just fine.

I added two more 120mm fans and plan on adding one more internal fan in the future. The fan speed control is simple which I appreciate.

Optical drive and 3.5" card reader fit in with no struggle. Almost felt bad even adding those since the waterfall grill looks so much better uninterrupted. Oh well, I'll just squint my eyes when I look at it and imagine the grill continues through.

Cable management was easy to work with. The snap in and snap out expansion bay covers were awesome. And, for an all fan cooled system, there was plenty of room to work with.

Cons: Whether intentional or not, the case seemed to come without an expansion bay cover for the top most slot. I ended up having to use a cover from my previous case. Fortunately those are compatible as well

The front fan I installed for some reason will not run on high speed. Normally I might blame the fan itself but I installed an identical fan on the back which can run on high. So I'm not sure if this is a case defect or not. There doesnt seem to be a way I can access the fan controls to determine where the disconnect may be.

Each of these issues are quite small and I assume are not common with this case.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the front cover were more easily removed. 6 screws attached the cover to the case and must be removed to take the cover off. This isn't difficult, but a little time consuming

I would absolutely recommend this case. With the hot swap bay, sleek design and extra space, it met all my needs and then surpassed them all for a very good price.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for modern PCs

Pros: This would have been a great case 5 years ago, but now it is much too cramped for modern hardware. 5 eggs for features but loses points for design.

Includes three fans (two in top, one in rear) with mounts for front, interior and bottom. Fans are quiet even at high speed.

Top Sata docking bay is a huge plus. Standard Sata connectors for data & power that run inside the case.

Two USB-2.0 & two USB-3.0 ports on top. Three 3-position fan speed switches (off/low/hi) for Rear, Top & Front fans. Mic & headphone jacks on top. Case ships with removable rubber caps in/on all ports and protective film over window.

Bottom mounted PSU sits on foam pads to reduce noise/vibration. Foam pads on plastic feet of case prevent scratching.

Front faceplate detaches with no wires for easy cleaning.

Separate Activity and power LEDs on front.

Four 5.25" bays with reusable plastic faceplates. Fourth bay has 3.5" cutout for smaller devices (I have a 3.5" internal USB hub in mine.) Top three bay devices are held in place with plastic locking plates (no screws). Internal drive cage includes removable plastic mounting trays with clips to hold drives in place.

Two thumb screws hold each side panel in place. Large left side window. Right side panel bulge provides extra room for cable management.

6 brass motherboard standoffs come pre-installed. Three more provided in package. 7 rear slots with reusable plastic slot covers (slot covers are vented, and odd decision for a case that includes so many dust filters).

All metal edges are curved or capped. No sharp edges.

Cons: This case is FAR too cramped for most modern PC's. I fit a water-cooled i7 4770k, Radeon HD5850 and full ATX MoBo in mine, and it took quite a bit of work to make it all fit.

The top 2 exhaust fans are in a recessed bay just above the rear exhaust fan, making a top-mounted 240mm radiator impossible (ditto for a 120mm radiator on the top rear. A radiator on the top-middle exhaust fan is doable, but a "push" fan below is impossible because the DRAM is in the way. I had to mount my Seidon 120M on the rear fan. Adding a push fan blocks half of my top rear fan.

The case includes a switch to control the front fan yet does NOT INCLUDE a front fan, which is a must for decent cooling.

After buying a 120mm front fan, mounting it is a nightmare. The interior drive cage is NOT removable and completely blocks the front fan screw holes. To get around this, Cougar provides four rubber plugs. After you miraculously fish them through the inside out, plug the plugs through your fan screw holes to hold them in place. Be ABSOLUTELY SURE you're mounting the fan correctly because there are no do overs. If you later decide you want to reverse the rear fan so that it draws IN cool air through the radiator, you'll want the front fan blowing "out". I just left the fans as is, and my radiator doesn't seem to notice the difference. (25'C at idle.)

My Radeon 5850 *barely* fits behind the drive cage, so forget about installing a video card over 9.5". And absolutely forget about mounting both an interior cage fan AND video card of ANY length.

The motherboard mounts about 1/8" too far back. It took me about 15 minutes of brute force showing to insert my video card to the point I was afraid I might damage my MoBo.

Avoid headaches by attaching all of your front-facing Sata cables PRIOR to installing your MoBo (whether you're using them or not) because plugging your cables in once the MoBo is in place is incredibly difficult. The drive cage blocks your view (and fingers) with no easy access holes to reach your ports.

While there's a mount for a fan in the bottom of the case, forget about installing one. Longer PSU's will overlap the fan-mount and the cables will obscure (if not hit) the fan anyway. There is no top-mounted speed switch to control the bottom or interior fans (not included).

Upon removing the faceplate, I noticed there is a 3.5" knockout in the metal frame, but no corosponding hole in the faceplate, and behind it, it is blocked by the interior drive cage, making me think this frame was repurposed from another case.

Other Thoughts: I love the top docking bay and the fact it has FOUR external 5.25" bays including a 3.5" cutout.

Activity LED mounts to the MoBo. The Power LED and all three fans are connected to a single Molex plug with passthrough connector.

If your needs are simple, say an mATX MoBo using onboard video and air-cooled CPU, you can't go wrong with this case. Anything more substantial, focus on full-ATX.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Great! Antec 900 Killer?

Pros: I am impressed with the quality that comes with this case for the price, or really, any price! The duel exhaust on the top is great, the fan speed controls are great, the thing looks even better in real life, the hotswap SATA dock on the top is great and can double as a tray, the interior 120mm fan mount to cool the video cards is great, the filters are great, and the window on the side is great. Cable managment is good overall. It could use some improvement, but that's the tradeoff for a midtower, so no real complaints there.
Feels very strudy and well built. Build quality is great!

Cons: You can't mount a 120mm fan on the bottom if you have a PSU longer than 175mm. My Corsair HX850 is 180mm long. I'm was disappointed. Also, the way they tell you in the instrutions to take the front cover off will almost certainly break a couple plastic tabs on the top. It will fit back nice and snug with no issues, but that shouldn't happen. Next time I'm just going to unscrew it. I would recommend unscrewing the top two before taking it off the way they say to.

Other Thoughts: So, is this an Antec Nine Hundred killer? Quite Possibly! The Antec as been the top dog for years now. However, it costs 50% more, there are no cable managment holes, and it's not painted black on the inside. Also, I'm not sure, but I don't think the antec has front panel USB 3.0, a hot swap SATA port, or built in fan speed controls like this pioneer does.

5 out of 5 eggsA Really Decent Case That ROCKS!

Pros: HDD/SSD dock on the top.Fairly decent room for cable management behind the motherboard tray,Great Fans!,Built in Fan Controller.USB 3 ports on the top,as well as standard USB.Rolled Edges.easy to build into.Quiet Fans. No LED mounted power and reset.cables and wires more than long enough to reach the bottom

Cons: Fairly thin metal,no rubber grommets for the cable pass thru's. Front Fan mount ??

Other Thoughts: I Bought this case needing a bigger case for my present system.coming from a smaller mid tower the room is excellent.I like the fan controller as it made it easy to set them to 1/2 speed and make them whisper quiet.power wires hid very easy behind the motherboard tray.all in all it is a easy case to set up and use.Airflow for the most part seems to be excellent.

Now my final thought.....The case arrived on the date promised,it would have been 2 days early if i had shipped it to my home address, not my work address, box arrived in perfect shape, but on unboxing to check the condition i discovered the window was barely hanging on.i rechecked the box and could not find any signs that it was freight damage,so that leads me to believe it was packaged that way.I should knock a egg due to this but armed with my always handy needle nose pliers i corrected the problem.

Props to NEWEGG! you understood my aggravation from wasting most of my Saturday waiting for a package that didn't come.

This is my first Cougar case and it won't be my last, from the HDD/SSD dock on the top to the whisper quiet fans this case just ROCKS!

1 out of 5 eggsLooks awesome in the pictures but.....

Pros: external hdd dock

Cons: flimsy, cheap, plastic parts

Other Thoughts: its flimsy and cheap plastic parts. Had to RMA it because the front bezel latches to the case via 6 plastic parts 2 were missing when I got the case, 2 were broken and 1 was on the verge of breaking off.

4 out of 5 eggsSexy Case

Pros: - Sleek design
- All the expansion you would expect from a mid tower
- Good price

Cons: - Wouldn't call it cheaply made, but could be a little more sturdy.

Other Thoughts: Really like this case. Used it to build a video editing/graphics workstation. The design is simple but creative. Great looking and quite expandable.

The only thing keeping this from being a perfect 5 would be a little more attention to the quality of the build (feels sort of flimsy at times) and modular features to make it more adaptable.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This case is simple but looks great, high quality build with built in filters.
room for 5 fans plus inlet for bottom mounted PSU.
plenty of room for large GPUs
excellent cable management
case fans are quiet and effective
even has ports for external liquid cooling(not the all in one solutions)
aside from that tool-less, and I'm just really satisfied for the price

Cons: cannot use 240mm fans or double 120mm radiators without a little creativity. -but otherwise none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This case is awesome for first time builders. The computer components looks great through the side panel window thanks the cable management holes. It wasn´t necesary to bougth a modular PSU.
Other thing than I love of this case is that it includes 3 high speed 120 mm. fans. These fans are quiet and efficient for a normal build. The superior USB, SATA and audio conectors are great also.

Cons: When I received this case, the packaging was a bit battered, but the case was nothing wrong.

Other Thoughts: Before putting the motherboard inside the case, you will need to distribute the front panel connector cables and power cables in the more convenient cable-management slot.

4 out of 5 eggsnice case

Pros: very sleek looking very fair price great features some what like the old cooler master 690 . room for a tall cooler .

Cons: should have put more room at the top for a rad if a thin one is used you could possibly sneak it in there but i haven't tried it .water cooling is not my thing .

Other Thoughts: case measures 8.6 w / 20/ 20 inches their web site is very good over all a winner for the price it's new so price will go even lower./ free shipping etc
