4 out of 5 eggsGreat value computer case

Pros: - Well ventilated, so less concern over heat issues
- Lightweight design, very easy to move around as you install everything
- Easy access side panels are a huge plus
- Plenty of space to store HDDs, plenty of 5.25" bays and even a 3.5" bay!
- Good cable management, and the bottom-mount PSU also works well.
- Standard case fans have an acceptable level of noise, not whisper-quiet but not obtrusively loud.
- Good build quality, no real issues with appearance or performance.

Cons: - Tool-free holders need a rethink. They do look compatible with the majority of devices, but don't seem sturdy. I used screws to install my (currently lone) HDD, optical drive, and flash card reader.
- Could be a little more space between top-mounted USB ports and power button.

Other Thoughts: An additional USB3.0 port would be good for the future (not a huge deal as it's not commonly implemented and most of the mid-range MOBOs have 2 included as well at a minimum. Also, would prefer not to have to remove the entire front face in order to remove a 5.25" bay cover.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent case for the price

Pros: Keeps everything nice and cool, excellent cable management system, sturdy and rugged construction and finish can take a beating, plenty of room to grow, top-mounted front panel I/O great to keep things within reach if you keep your case on or near the floor; also great if you have kids and keep your case up high, as they cannot reach the power/reset buttons, etc.

Cons: Open air design = tons of airflow = more dust/debris can get into chassis = not very quiet. This isn't really a problem for most gamers, as they will typically use a headset while playing. I wouldn't recommend this for any noise sensitive environment like a recording studio. Front I/O panel cheaply made - headphone/mic jack PCB fell apart after the first week. No problem for me, as I can just replace the jacks and hand-wire them, but users without wiring/soldering knowledge may have issues with this (wasn't worth the cost to RMA). Empty bay covers on front panel are a bit touchy - will sometimes 'cave in' if you push on them and you have to take off the front panel to put them back in place. The 'tool-free' mounting system is a joke. Remove these plastic doorstops immediately and use screws like a real man (or woman).

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am pretty happy about this case. It's not flashy or gimmicky, but it does the job and does it pretty well for this price range. Would definitely recommend this case to anyone building a budget-friendly rig.

3 out of 5 eggsMixed bag

Pros: Lots of room for hard drives. Well ventilated.

Cons: Where to start? The holes for the motherboard standoffs are NOT drilled in the right spots. They are off by a little bit. On top of that, the standoffs that came with the case were too short. Fortunately I had some old brass ones that were taller on hand.

The front fan cable was too short. I had to remove the front and turn the fan 90 degrees and run the cable through the external drive slot. The fasteners for the front are a joke. I was careful enough not to brake the plastic that holds it on.

Next up, the tool-less drive system is pathetic. Duct tape and Juicy Fruit would do better. But they were easy to remove and go old fashioned with screws.

Other Thoughts: It took a lot of improvisation to get everything to accept this case. Had I known about this before purchasing this case, I would have passed it up. But I was able to make it work.

A lot of trouble to make room for hard drives for my home server.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Great

Pros: 1. Light weight

2. Quality and value for the money

3. Nice black paint inside and out

4. Tool-free drive holders (also a con)

5. Two big fans (front and rear)

6. Good air flow

Cons: 1. Cables are somewhat short. The audio cable was too short for GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 motherboard. It would be nice if all cables are long enough to reach the lower corner of the case.

2. Tool-free drive holders are too loose. Holders only came with one side. I had to put half of them on the other side to hold the drive more tightly. Even with holders on both sides, the drive is still somewhat loose when jiggled. This is not good for hard disk drives as vibration will shorten their lives. Xigmatek should have provided some rubber cushion with each holder.

3. One ONE expansion slot bracket. Who is going to provide me matching expansion slot brackets, Xigmatek?

4 out of 5 eggsSolid low-cost case

Pros: This case has a nice design. It's roomy, with good space behind the motherboard tray, although there's not a hole up at the top of the case which is a problem for reaching many 8-pin power plugs. Personally I like the top-mounted buttons and ports for an under-case placement. I can't find a model number on the included Xigmatek fans--they are reasonably quiet, three-pin. The inclusion of a removable PSU filter on a case this cheap is nice. I should point out that I have the case sitting on low-pile carpet. To ensure good airflow I just put in longer screws for the case feet, filling the gap with stacks of washers. Easy way to get a half-inch more clearance.

Cons: I had a few "fit and finish" issues. There were strands of glue around the front USB ports that I had to scrape away. Also the rubber pads on the case feet and for the PSU mount were quite sloppy.

The tool-free drive mounts are nice but they didn't feel super secure to me on just one side, so I doubled-up and use them on both sides. There's enough extra drive bays that I still have plenty of mounts left over.

Other Thoughts: For the price (under $50 in my case) I'm entirely satisfied with this case. The mix of features is hard to beat at this price range.

2 out of 5 eggsCheaply made in China

Pros: Comes with 2 120mm fans. Options for 5 more fans. Lots of bays. Roomy enough.

Cons: Cheaply painted, there was a gash on the bottom right front panel of the case, it is extremely flimsy and the "filter material" is pushed out of the front of the case. The side panels were slightly bent, and very difficult to re-attach. Three of the four bottom mounting points were stuck on out of alignment, and one of the plastic clips of the front panel was broken off like it was dropped. Because of this, it rattles and vibrates. Not worth $50. In fact, it should sell for half of that.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to send it back to newegg for DOA, but they want me to pay return shipping. Since I refuse to pay return shipping, I have to suck it up and just deal with the case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for the price

Pros: Cheap, good size, great paint job, looks good, all tool free mounting. Big enough for long graphics cards about 13 inches of clearance.

Cons: The panels feel flimsy like they will warp if left off the case, but I expected that with a case this cheap. Thumb screws could be nicer. PSU filter could have covered lower fan slot. Could have had a hard drive cage.

Other Thoughts: It's a cheap case, the steel will be thinner then a more expensive case, so that was expected. I don't plan on using it as a chair though so it shouldn't be an issue.

4 out of 5 eggs6 month update..

Pros: no thrills professional look with plenty of fan space.
sturdy enough and for $40 you get somewhat cable manageable case.
interface is on the top of case not on sides for the kids to keep pushing.
bottom mounted power supply with filtered screen
no tools required but I did replaces some clips with good ol screws when adding more storage.
holding a full ATX mobo with SLi graphics and I have a little room to operate in, you do not have to remove hardware to get to other hardware in most situations.
holds standard hs/f's like the Hyper Evo and such, Antec 620 is no problem either even with fan and rad in the box.

Cons: cable management could be slightly better but then I guess the price would also go up..?
plain green/red activity LED's on interface, could be a little more creative..
yes, case is a little on the light side of construction so better take care.

Other Thoughts: 140mm fan in-front, 2 x 140mm fans up top, 120mm back, quiet and moves air, sitting on CPU stand with wheels as it sits on the floor.
added a 3.5" bay temp sensor to fill that space.
blue LED themed - Aero Shark fans..
looking for a reason to upgrade case and I really do not have a reason so I'm not..
