4 out of 5 eggspretty spacious but..

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: pretty spacious for a cube
decent airflow by default
plenty of space to mount fans to improve airlfow.
can do ok cable management

Cons: - no molex converters for fans - see other thoughts
- difficult to remove drive bays - screws are under the "feet" so you have to take off the entire foot thing to remove them. if they moved the screw like 20mm either direction it would have been much nicer.
- tight psu fit
- what I assume was SSD bay did not fit SSDs and was too small for standard HDD.

Other Thoughts: no molex converters for fans - typically it's ok and I assume they didn't include them since it's "micro-atx" and most of these boards have more than 2 headers. I put a mini itx board in here, only 2 fan headers, one for cpu and one chassi fan. Luckily I had some from another case so I could plug in the exhaust fan and a top exhaust. It was troublesome but not the reason for minus egg.

- the location of screws to remove the "SSD" looking drive bay was the primary reason for -1 egg. it was really frustrating to find out after an SSD wouldn't even fit there, that to remove it I have to disassemble almost the entire case to remove this box of metal.

- if you get this and have standard full length PSU, make sure you plug in all of your cables to your modular PSU before you mount it, there is not enough room to plug them in after you do due to the location of standard HDD mounting bay.

- for the price I wasn't expecting much so even though I wasn't really happy building with it, I can't complain or knock it too much for these things. Really it could have been designed a bit better and made it much easier to build with.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: +Very Sturdy (no flex in case)
+Painted inside and out
+Black hardware (not just zinc screws)
+Strong carry handles.
+Reversible side panels.
+Decent cable routing holes.
+Good airflow

Cons: - Wish the front case fan was white but you cant see it through the mesh
- Side panel came scuffed, but probably a shipping problem.
- Window is tinted plastic (PET) not acrylic but I can live with that.

Other Thoughts: I love this case. The build quality far exceeded my expectations. I have fully loaded this case and the handles carry it just fine. I travel with the computer by car twice a week and have not had any problems. I will be buying another when the time comes.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Case with Good Looks

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: The sheet metal seems a little more rigid than most of the cases I've worked with. It's great to work on with the 2 sides open and the motherboard laying flat (horizontal). There is lots of room. There are very thoughtful cable passthroughs and places to hide your cable from the window.
This one was worth the extra bucks. I like it better than my Fractal.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: Fairly compact.

A lot of good space for cable routing and stashing.

Attractive with good use of mesh and a side window but avoiding a garish or stereotypical "gamer" look.

Cons: Some parts like the hard drive cage may be difficult to remove.

It can be a little difficult to get the motherboard in, but thankfully mATX motherboards are much easier to handle than full ATX motherboards, so it isn't too big of an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, easy to use case

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: This was a fantastic case to build in. I used an H100i and it fit just fine up top. Along with a 780Ti and a 775W Toughpower this system is humming along. The front fan does have a light orange glow but it is not bright at all.

Cons: If you use a cooler like the H100i you will not be able to utilize the 5 1/4 drive bay. This wasnt a problem for me as I use an external BluRay drive but some might see it as a turn off.

Cooling is okay but not spectacular.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for something to build a great gaming PC in look no further. This is one of the more unique cases I have built in and it has gotten several compliments on looks alone in the last few days.

5Ghz Core i5 2500k
H100i
Gigabyte 780Ti
16GB Corsair DDR-3
Recon3d Fatality
4TB Black and 500GB Samsung Evo

5 out of 5 eggsGreat alternative to Prodigy M

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: Well-constructed. Motherboard tray is horizontal so no worries about board flex, and there is adequate room for large CPU coolers. I'm using a Scythe Ninja without issue (optical drive bay removed). Also no issues with video card clearance, which makes this a great box for a high-end mATX system. Good integrated cable management. Overall makes for a clean looking system.

Cons: The PSU bay is tight. I wouldn't try putting anything over 6.5 inches long in there. I was able to fit a Fractal Design Newton R3 (barely) but returned that because of unrelated issues. I ended up using a Cooler Master V850. Even then (as it is full modular) I had to attach the cables prior to inserting the power supply from the non-windowed side. Tedious for those who don't enjoy working on computers. Also, the bag of hardware only includes 7 MB risers, while my board had 8 mounting points.

Other Thoughts: I was surprised to find that my case came with a 200mm front fan pre-installed. That was not clear from the Newegg specs. Also, the handles are not metal as you might assume, but they are very strong plastic. Nonetheless I don't have any worries about their sturdiness.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks great

This review is from: Xigmatek Aquila White Steel Micro-ATX Cube Chassis CCD-14AWW-U01

Pros: Very nice looking. Easy to pick up and carry which will come in handy when going to LAN parties.

Cons: Get a small power supply. Mine didn't fit and I had to use a hack saw. Other then that no problems.
