5 out of 5 eggsBest gaming case I've bought for the price

Pros: -Amazing space inside for components
-Great popout dust filters on top and bottom (although sensitive to everything. Barely touch them and they can pop out but no big deal)
-Room for up to 7 FANS!
-Nice slick design
-4 usbs on top compared to the usual 2 I see for other cases in this price range
-Mounting fans is easy (except for front)

Cons: Stock fans are terrible and replacing the ones in the front was a pain. Had to take out all the HDD drive bays including the ones bolted in to the case itself. Not worth taking off an egg but still an annoyance because of where the stock fans cords were located.

Other Thoughts: -Reset button is small but havent needed to reset my computer yet so not putting this as a con. Highly recommend this case to any person making a decent gaming rig. Totally worth the price I paid at the time of 55$

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Wire Management!

Pros: Lot’s to like about this particular case. The price is great for what it offers. Installed my ATX board and gear in this case which was a breeze with all the wire management options!

The frame where you mount your board is clearly stamped with locations for board stand-offs depending on the type of board you plan on mounting. A knockout opening on the frame, under where the CPU would mount on your board allows you to easily change out your CPU cooler/fan down the road without having to remove the motherboard; this is a really nice feature. This will also make it much easier for CPU fan removal for cleaning or mods.

Plenty of openings for routing wires from the power supply at the bottom and keeping them well organized and out of the way of things, allowing for much better airflow throughout the case, across the board and drive cages. This gives your build a really clean look with all the wires tucked out of the way!

On the back side of where the motherboard mounts there is a nice ¾ inch space for routing your wires where they need to go, and lots of metal loops for using plastic wire ties to secure all your wires!

Top and front mesh panels remove very easy for cleaning or replacing fans. The front fan that is pre-installed can be removed from the front with no problems; they also supply a second set of screws for mounting a second fan from the front, another nice feature. The lower drive cages have slide out caddies for installing up to six drives. If you do not plan on having that many, you can easily remove the upper/middle drive cage by simply un-snapping it, and this will allow for even more airflow throughout the case.

The included instructions show which direction for airflow when installing the fans if you are unsure of which direction they should be blowing throughout the case.

Cons: The top mounting fans must be mounted with screws from inside the case just above the CPU cooler, these will not be very easy to replace down the road without removing your CPU cooler just to get to the screws. Would have been nice if they mounted with long screws from the top down like the front fans do.

Other Thoughts: If you are into tricking out this case a bit more, the corner mesh pieces on the top and front can be easily removed with some minor dis-assembly, and colored strip lights or LED’s can be installed behind/under them to add some really cool light effects to your case! I did this with mine with self-sticking 12 volt strip lights and it looks really cool, but that is just my preference ;)

Fingerprints can be easily buffed out with the same type of soft cloth you would use for tablet or phone screens!

If you prefer to use stock CPU fans/coolers then mounting a side fan on the plastic window will not interfere with the CPU fan/cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: Aesthetically I personally like the look of the case.

While the rubberized plastic might be a fingerprint magnet I kinda like how it looks.

It has USB 3 ports on the front which is basically a necessity at this point.

The screwless mounts for the hard drives and DVD drives are nice. I felt them secure enough to not need to use any screws to fully secure them.

Everything went in nicely. They had the right angle cut to fit the 8 pin cpu cable behind the motherboard tray.

It fit everything surprisingly well. I have an ax760i, 2 6950's, an ATX mobo, and a tower cooler.

I really liked that you could pull out one of the hard drive bays when not using them.

Overall it's a great case for the price.

Cons: With all that being said there are some flaws.

My single biggest complaint is that the power led is obnoxiously bright. It is obscene. Brighter than any case I've had in recent history. (- 1/2 egg)

The other complaint that I had was to remove the front fan I had to unscrew 8 screws to take out the bottom hard drive bay. That was really annoying. (- 1/2 egg)

While I almost never use a side window fan some people might like to use them, it's impossible in this case with a tower cooler. They should have put the mount for a fan over the GPU area and not the CPU area. It's potentially a major flaw that really has no impact on me so no real affect on the rating.

Other Thoughts: I've been holding onto my Coolermaster rc-690 for far too long (had it for a little over 5 years now) and this case finally got me to move out of that case. The main reason being that there are USB 3.0 ports on the top of the case. I was hesitant to do so but I do like how this case looks next to my desk. I'd probably recommend this case to someone looking to do a fairly compact build in a case that has plenty of room.

Overall solid case.

3 out of 5 eggsInexperienced newcomer to the case market

Pros: + 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, 1x Headphone and 1x Microphone ports are provided on the case. The power and reset buttons are in the same vicinity.

+ Good workmanship on the mesh accents, especially the side runners on the front and top.

+ Ability to use water cooling at top fan mounts.

+ 7x 120mm fan mounting locations.

+ Easily removable mesh filters on front and top of case.

+ Two 120mm blue led fans are provided which have both a 3-pin motherboard connector, as well as a 4-pin molex connector.

+ Easily removable center drive cage in order to accommodate greatly oversized video cards. The bottom drive cage can also be removed via multiple screws.

+ 6 tool-less 3.5” hard drive trays that also accommodate 2.5” hard drives. Optionally, each drive tray can be secured to the drive cage via 2 screws.

+ PSUs can be installed in facing up / down orientations with a meshed vent provided below the PSU location.

+ Foam case feet (instead of rubber) more often seen on higher quality HTPC cases.

Cons: - Rubberized Coating. Deal killer. The coating is applied to any non-mesh portion at front and the top of the case. Even though it is unique feature in the case market, it should not have been utilized. The coating is very prone to scuffs and scratches, and will end up being a magnet for dirt and dust. Extra cleaning care will need to be taken and in the end it will never look quite as it did new.

- The case features 3x 5.25” bays with only 2 of them being external. In the world of 5.25” bay devices, the 3rd bay is very much useless.

- Generic 120mm sleeve bearing fans which will have a reduced lifespan. Also, 4 pin PWM motherboard connections should have been utilized in lieu of 3-pin motherboard and 4-pin molex connectors.

- The rear 120mm fan mount has an option to mount an 80mm fan. The rear fan mount should have been designed to accommodate only 120mm fans; therefore improving the rear fan mesh design/airflow. In the end, I doubt very much anyone would decide to mount an 80mm fan in a case that accommodates 7x 120mm fans.

- In order to use any type of water cooling up front, both of the drive cages will need to be left off.

- Mesh ‘sheet’ at the bottom of the case that covers the PSU vent and the optional bottom 120mm fan vent, looks to be a design afterthought with it being secured via simple tabs on the 4 sides and a screw in the middle to hold it in place.

- Side panel can accommodate one 120mm fan, but has absolutely no mesh filtering in place. (Also, see Other Thoughts).

- Cheaply designed 3.5” drive trays.

- Questionable quality control at the factory. The case arrived with the bottom of the PSU mount bracket being moderately dented. That particular location is heavily protected via foam padding for shipping. Also the shipping box showed no signs of damage.

Other Thoughts: The acrylic side panel could have been a unique and great selling point, but it was definitely botched up. The placement of 120mm fan is exactly where the CPU heatsink would reside, and with a good portion of people opting for tower style CPU coolers, it will become a rather useless fan mount location. The fan location should have been placed lower in line with any add on video cards.

The acrylic panel also has an overall rectangular shape with rounded edges, if it was designed as an overall square shape, you would be able to take it off, rotate and/or flip it to place the fan location where the most air flow was needed. Overall this would result in 8 different mounting options.

Final thought: When considering prior computer case experiences, in the cheapest cases the quality is usually lacking all over, and with the more premium priced cases everything is of high quality everywhere you look. With this case it’s a mixed bag of both great and bad, and not much in between. For a few extra dollars this could have been the case for computer builders to get.
