4 out of 5 eggsReally big, Really neat.

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Elegant, Roomy. Beautiful just what I wanted but without the Lian-Li price and easily breakable construction.
COLD, These fans running at a constant of 100% shoots some cold air out. Still going the water cooling route later on though!
The door is very strong for a magnet.
The doors come off very easy.

Cons: Huge! This this is absolutely massive. The reservoir guard was in the way of installing the motherboard. The EVGA Platinum 1000W PSU does fit but it seems the back panel needs to be severely held down to get the thumbscrew back on. My case came with a front face rivet broken but didn't make any effects as I wasn't on planning to edit this or take it off for installation.
The fans are somewhat loud.
The cables included are in the way of everything. Cable management is a pain with so many front port/led cable/power port options.
Fingerprints/hand oil is always on the case expect to clean this bad boy after every time you use it!
Be weary of shipping don't expect this to come perfectly from the factory luckily I got only a small piece of plastic broken that isn't noticeable and isn't worthy in my opinion for an RMA.
Doesnt look like I can have sli with the reservoir tray :/
5.25" bays seem cheap.
Heavy, and is going to be a struggle to move back and forth to my houses every few weeks.

The fans are not as loud as a bathroom fan, but late at night it is noticeable. During the daytime its not that bad. I plan on trying a PWM splitter instead of their 4pin to 3pin molex splitter.

Make sure you have a very bright room and plenty of space to move around like a big table. Very hard to see inside otherwise.

Plan your cable management thoroughly!

Other Thoughts: The USB Dust caps on the top should be all one piece that can be lifted while in use instead of singular pieces. The reservoir panel should protrude out more to make the motherboard power and some connections easier, and the base without the shield should be more indented for sli configurations.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice case

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: lots of radiator mounting options
rear mount PSU
great aesthetics
5 140mm static pressure fans included
pwm fan controller for non pwm fans
smaller than the 900D

Cons: I would prefer a non-tinted window.
Case Led control is only blue color.
Pump mount bracket holes don't fit the Alphacool VPP655 pump

Other Thoughts: Building a full custom loop in this case was very enjoyable.
Plenty of room in front and back for tube routing, pump/radiator mounting and cable management.
I installed Alphacool XT45 420mm rad in the top, XT45 280mm in the bottom cooling an overclocked 4670k/780Ti.

The case is also good for air cooling, having plenty of intake and exhaust fan mounting options.
I really like the PSU rear mounting option. Cleans up the aesthetics of the build and allows more options for tubing and rad mounting.
All fan dust filters are easily accessible.

One possible problem in the future would be if GPUs get longer than a Titan or 780/Ti. As it is, there is about a 1mm clearance btwn my 780Ti and Bitspower 250ml res.

The fans included are great for air cooling or radiator cooling.
How awesome is it Phanteks includes 5 SP140s?
I bought 2 additional from Newegg. So I have 3 at the top, 2 at the bottom and 2 in front, all controlled with the pwm fan controller.

The fans idle at 530rpm and max out at 750rpm for very cool and quiet performance.
Max CPU T=65/66C, Max GPU T=45/46C

This is the first full tower case I've bought and I'm very pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsBest. Case. Ever

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: -huge but the space is used very well. about the same size as a CM Cosmos II but with FAR more space to work with inside.
-can take 2 PSUs, 2 reservoirs, 4 VERY long graphic cards, etc.
-special SSD compartments so you can take the 3.5" bays out.
-you can mount like 5 radiators in this thing.
-comes with plenty of spare parts and screws.

Cons: -the included fan controller is a nice bonus but for some reason mine will only run fans at full blast. in video reviews that i saw the controller was able to throttle fans when they weren't needed. doesn't matter to me though because my Asus X99 Deluxe can with its own extra fan controller that worked great.
-the brace that is supposed to hold a reservoir to the right of the mobo is useless if you have a high end GPU. don't plan on using it.

Other Thoughts: I've owned many high end cases. while this thing doesn't have the craftsmanship of a top tier Lian Li case, it is still exceptionally well built and it is hands down the base case i've ever owned and I don't think I will ever have to buy another one.

Before I got this case i bought a Corsair 900D for my new build, and it was a total nightmare. one of the fans had a deformed connector and the front USB 3.0 ports had a short that nearly fried my $400 mobo. i can live with something breaking during transit, but my 900D came defective from the factory. i bought like 10 corsair products in the last 2 years and all but 1 came defective. not broken in transit, but defective. so... no more corsair for me.

5 out of 5 eggsPhanteks PH-ES813P

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Quality workmanship throughout.
Lots of cooling options.
Lots of interior space.
Lots of cable management

Cons: Only real con I see is the reservoir bracket behind the mother board was not well thought out. It needed to be removed to fit my Sapphire 290x and will probably need to be removed for most enthusiast level cards.

Other Thoughts: I knew it was big from reading reviews but still didn't really grasp how huge this case is. think night stand big. Also quite heavy.
I have been building computers since the mid 90s (first build was an AMD 486 at a blazing 120 mghz lol) and this is by far the best case I have ever used, well engineered and quality construction.

4 out of 5 eggsGood quality

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good quality
Looks good.
Low profile

Cons: You need low profile ram to use.
Specifications for size are not entirely accurate.

Other Thoughts: I wanted this to go with my phanteks enthoo primo. But you have to have really low profile ram to use this cooler or sacrifice cooling. At this price sacrificed performance is not an option.

5 out of 5 eggssimply the best

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Designed for water cooling. A radiator can be mounted on the top or front or bottom.

Cons: The filters get dirty fast from the filters cleaning my room, making me breath easier.

Other Thoughts: I am a long time owner of this case. I actually have the silver mesh screen version and anytime I broke something, I called phanteks and they replace it. I just kept it real, told them what broke and the solution was replacement. Its nobodies fault really.

For the individual below who had the case fit improperly... I had to gently apply pressure to the case covers in order for the screw holes to align. Its not a defect but a way to reduce case vibration.

Also, the reservoir bracket can be removed to put a large video card. I simply got a huge resevoir and rested it above my gpu radiator that was mounted on the bottom.

The amount of different methods to install your parts can make some people feel lost but simply put, the arrangements inside can be customized where no two insides look alike.

It took a long time to figure out my fan configuration and radiator placement.. but I decided to use all 140mm fans

The mid tower enthoos being released are not true aluminum but plastic with an aluminum effect. but then again its like a 100 bucks cheaper.

I actually have a ek pump too and with all the tubes attached to it, i dont even mount it. it rests on the rubber pad and I added a foam pad. Its simply not heavy enough to move around and the compartment is isolated from the mobo side. I've taken this case to two places and the pump didnt move at all.

This case looks like no other case. it doesnt have legs.

All my fans are intake fans and the air gets exhausted from the large vents that are laced along the front to the rear its like a slit with foam filtering. im talking about the vents on the rear mobo side.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case Everrrrr

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: I usually dont write reviews, but after reading the last one from Kevin S. I cant believe he got the same case as I did. Out of the box(double boxed by the way), the case was in perfect condition, covered in a plastic bag with protection on both acrylic windows. The only part I was worried about with this case was the retaining clips for the front dust filter as I read there was an issue with the first batch of Primos. My clips seem to be working flawlessly so I assume they fixed that issue. Thanks Phanteks for listening to your customers.

Cons: Where I can agree with Kevin S. is the weight of the case. It is a beast, but you would expect this chassis to be sturdy enough to hold all those water cooling parts.

Other Thoughts: A friend of mine who also bought a Primo did have an issue with the PWM hub, and contacted Phanteks and the replacement part was delivered by the end of the week. If thats not customer service then I dont know what is.

1 out of 5 eggsdont buy this case

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: I am amending my previous review from 2 stars down to one after speaking with the customer service department with Phanteks. Talk about rotten customer service. Alll they wanted to do was make excuses instead of ownership of the problem. save yourself the hastle.. don't buy this case.

ok.. where to being? :

1) very poor quality control! there are several points of machining that are "off." example.. either the screw holes for the back cover, or the holes on the back cover itself are not aligned. It makes it next to impossible to properly secure the back case cover. - Very Poor Quality

second drive bay down.. the mount holes for screws are not even. when mounting, say a fan controller in that bay, it's tilted because the holes were not placed correctly... - Poor Quality.. VERY POOR

The plate to cover the gromets and to provide a mount point for a res was a great idea... EXCEPT.. not thought through nor implemented properly. Not a single one of the newer cards will fit within the parameters allowed so that plate/mounting bracket is unusable, leaving wasted space.

with the above statement... if you use a newer card, such as a 780, or r9 290, you now have to mount the tube res to the back of the case.. however, that can't be done with a nice sized res as the SLI / Crossfire connections block the tube from being mounted unless you are willing to go without a bottom radiator, which now completely eliminates the reason for buying case. VERY POOR DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

the ONLY way you can use bottom for a nice radiator in push/pull is if you use a bay res, which, IMO, really changes why a person would buy this case... to SEE all the components.

The back area to mount a punp 1) does not work with EKD5 pumps.. the holes dont allign.. so, apparently everyone is only allowed to buy one brand with the Phanteks case and 2) is wothless to use if you cant have the res mounted on the bracket in front because you have a newer GPU.

O M G is this thing heavy!!!!! it's ridiculous... which, i wouldn't really care about if the rest of the case were designed properly and weren't full of so many poor craftsmanship flaws.. or just plain laziness from Phanteks to make sure the quality is what a person pays for.

This is and will be my first, AND LAST Phanteks product i ever purchase. I will be purchasing a Caselabs case next time.. if a person can't pay the $ for a caselabs, get a Coolermaster, NZXT or ( gulp ) Corsair.. ( Corsair has the WORST customer service i have ever come across! ) But at least the cases are designed with some intelligence.

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

5 out of 5 eggsThe Case is Fantastic, but Phanteks' Support Team....hmm

This review is from: Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: I'm loving the case. It's got a sweet finish and looks both refined, elegant and bold. It's huge, holds plenty of space to work with and cable management is a breeze. Cooling seems great too. I'm still using only the stock fans, which are also really quiet when not at full load, and even then they're hardly loud. This case covers what seems like all the needs a pc builder would want. (Except maybe size and weight)

Cons: It's pretty heavy! Really heavy with everything in it. It's pretty tough lifting it and a hassle moving it around. It isn't a big deal for me though as I also really like the sturdiness of an all steel case and am comfortable with the trade off.

Other Thoughts: My case came with some odd scratching marks within the side panel window. The scratches cannot be felt from either side of the panel, so I'm sure it's a manufacturing error. i thought a simple RMA request would fix it and I like that Phanteks has a hassle free warranty for the first year. I am unable to contact them by phone during their work hours so I have to resort to email. The first time I sent an RMA request I never received a response. I sent a second RMA request three weeks later, and was contacted the day of and was asked for more information and a photo if possible. I did a day later because of work. Since then, nothing. It's already been a week. Be wary of the responsiveness of the company's support team. This doesn't stop me from giving the product 5 stars, but it doesn't make me very happy with the manufacturer.
