CFI Prime 101 CFI-A3089 Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It was free after rebate.

It functions. Cases are not that exciting.

It's not beige (remember those days?)

Cons: Has extra fan mounted in the front of the case, that really can't cool much where it is located. If that fan were to be moved from its current location to the vented side of the case (cough, cough) it would have gotten five stars.

Other Thoughts: Free after rebate, so I paid about the same as a large coffee at a national chain for shipping. I definitely got my money's worth.

Cheap, flimsy metal. Check.
Shipped with minimal packaging. Check.
Small dents here and there. Check.

Seriously, this thing was free. It's a computer case. How high can one's expectations be?!?!

I just put in mobo, PS, and HDD. So the HDD has to be mounted vertically on the side. Big deal. So what. Everything fit, and went back together.

For a cheap case, it's fine.

Pros: Needed a cheap case to house an HTPC, and it works.
- Cheap after rebate
- Light
- Two 3.5" internal drive bays One under the 5.25" bay, and one vertical. Possible 3rd bay, see below.
- Quite 120mm fan held by screws (not glued).
- Well protected in box for shipping.
- Did not find any sharp edges

Cons: Fan is virtually worthless. It is mounted like a front mount fan, but draws air from bottom of case.
Nice cutout to access bottom of motherboard (save metal cost), but does not lineup with Intel CPU's.

No diagram. No support info on manufacturer's website. It took me a few minutes to figure out where the 3.5" drive holders were.

Power LED is big and bright. I may have to disconnect it.

Other Thoughts: Thin and lightweight. Don't expect a beefy case.

Good construction for a cheap case. No frills, but I did not need frills.

Possible 3rd 3.5" drive holder in front of fan, across from expansion cards. If you want to remove the worthless fan to mount drive, in order to access fan the mounding screw, you have to remove the front cover which is held on by screws.

Pros: Dirt cheap

Cons: This thing is about as cheap as cheap gets:
- No hard drive bays
- Fan glued to the front of the case with no ventilation
- Flimsy construction
- No frills (mounting screws, etc)
- Optical drive bay cover attached to the case, so I had to break it to mount the drive

Other Thoughts: Buy this if you need a terrible case for cheap and you've got enough spare parts to make it work. Otherwise, steer clear.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: The case does not have proper Hard Drive bays. The fan that was included with the case is glued to the front and it is blocking where the suposed hard drive would go. The case is very thin, so any large fans will not mount properly to the back of the case.

Pros: The people that design this case overseas didn't take into consideration that glue does not hold everything together.
The first case I received came with the top bent in such a way that at first I assumed something blew up from within inside it, so that one was RMA'd quick. The second one which I will not return due to the headache has a loose front usb connector that when you insert a mouse and take it out, the faceplate falls to the inside. There is no quality check on this piece of garbage.

Cons: Everything.

Pros: I purchased this for a mini-ATX motherboard/System and it was worth the price that I paid for.

It is lightweight - easy to work inside the case.

The reason it is only 3 Eggs is not because it has unforeseen flaws, it is because it is a low/mid range case.

If you are looking for this type of case then this is the right buy for you.

Cons: New Egg Customer Service will be the downfall of the company. From someone who purchased thousands of dollars of New Egg Merchandise, I will never buy from this company again.

Pros: Nothing is complicated about it. The pre-installed fan is surprisingly quiet.

Cons: Absolutely no frills. Can only mount 80mm fans.

Other Thoughts: The case is extremely light, with thin walls. It's not falling over or anything, and it's going under a desk where it won't be moved until it's time to scrap the machine. It's adequate for my needs.

Pros: ?????????.....yeah...right

Cons: FAULTY, FLIMSY, CHEAP, Right out the box RMA!
