5 out of 5 eggs3 fans plus sound controlled backlight for the knobs.

Pros: works like it's supposed to.

Cons: cables aren't sleeved but that was an easy fix.

Other Thoughts: cpu knob will not turn off completely (to keep it from overheating). other two go from 0 to about 85%. last knob is the sound control sensitivity.

3 out of 5 eggs4 Channels... ?

Pros: Great product for controlling 3 fans.

Cons: One of the four channels is the brightness for the light that back lights the nobs. The advertisement for this product is super misleading. It is NOT 4 channels of fan control.

Other Thoughts: Controls only 3 fans.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't run at 100% for 3 days

Pros: Physical controls

Cons: LED flickers when it is not at 100%
Most importantly, It died! after 3 days of contentious use at 100% i walk into the room and smell the smell of death. Although it was faint I new it was there. I check my PC that I use as NAS and the hard drives were hot and the controller was dead. Still not sure if the smell was from the hard drives or the dead controller but my HDDs still work so that's good. They are off until i find a new controller. This is very inconvenient.

Other Thoughts: Gonna find some crazy 100watt fan controller for my little fans just cause i don't want to deal with this problem again.

On the Motherboard i have 36watt fans....i find this funny as i have not ran into a problem yet.

3 out of 5 eggsit's ok

Pros: It's functional.
I didn't have any issues fitting this into the 3.5 floppy bay (as others mentioned in previous reviews); it fit like a glove into my CM Scout case.
The Blue lights are very bright, which can be good or bad. But it can be turned off if distracting, so that's a pro.

Cons: Some fans will cause the unit to make a very high pitched noise if not turned all the way up. It's not coming from the fan, as the noise goes away when plugged directly into the mobo. The PWM cable they provide goes into a 4-pin connection, but only has 3 pins used.

Other Thoughts: I ultimately wanted the ability to turn off 2 fans when I didn't need them, and this does that. It is just concerning that it made such a high pitched sine-like noise when using a PWM fan through it. The two fans that I am using with this are not PWM and work fine. I would be nice to turn down the brightness of the Blue lights too, but if you turn them down (at all) it blinks in response to the beat function - which is pointless. It should have been a 3rd (or 4th) fan control instead.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless after a couple of months

Pros: Sound-activated pulsating lights

Cons: I bought this to use as a controller for a fan that is used to cool an external drive bay. Each one of the controllers failed within 1-2 weeks of having a fan plugged into them. Now it just sticks out the front of the case and blinks whenever I make noise.

Other Thoughts: A while ago I was searching to see if anyone else was having problems with these units and found some suggestions to re-solder the connectors to the board.
May give that a try, but I really don't think I should have to solder something that is supposed to work out of the box.

I also heard that their 5.25" version does not have this problem, so I may even give that one a try. Although I don't know if I want to trust another DeepCool product.

Since it's a pretty inexpensive product, I don't even want to waste money on shipping it back for RMA.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to

Pros: Works as stated, and the blue lights look cool in my PC. I did not use the PWM plug on the device so I can't say how well that works.

Cons: The line on the dials indicating how high the fan is turned do not all point the same direction if they're turned all the way up or all the way down. I wish it came with extension cables in addition to adapters because it was difficult to install. Also the knobs feel a little flimsy.

Other Thoughts: Three eggs because of a minor aesthetic problem and the cheapness, but I did not expect much else for the price so I'm satisfied.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The product comes with a warranty and can be replaced or returned. Please contact us directly via email to support@deepcool.com for further assistance.

4 out of 5 eggsJust right

Pros: Compact, sleek, easy to install. Actually used an Icecool 5.25" adapter but fits in any old floppy pc slot.
Great pricing on a deal.
Fit into a Cooler Master HAF XB EVO Test Bench

Cons: Wasn't free. Tricky to get the wires connected after install, so plan ahead and get fan adapter wires

5 out of 5 eggsCool Gaget!

Pros: It was late and ... I suffered a brain cramp during my previous review! So ... this is a review of my review! It should've read: Looks great, simple set up and works like a charm. Controls speed of two case fans plus the CPU fan. Really cuts down on fan noise when you don't need them running full blast. Installs directly into a 3.5" bay but it can be installed in the 5.25" bay with an adapter bracket. The 5.25" adapter bracket does not come with.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Wires could be a bit longer.
