4 out of 5 eggsAIO fan controlle

Pros: All the cables are black or sleeved black.

Cons: the two fan headers are very poorly made, when pushing your 3/4 pin fan connector into it the pins will push out the back. Not a deal breaker though its cheep $40.00 and you can just hold the wires.
Its not a full 5.25 its about 3/4 in. short on each side.

Other Thoughts: All and all its exactly what I expected for the money. It works and thats all that really matters.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's still running!

Pros: Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. lolol Timex. Anyways, this thing felt so cheap, I figured it would fall appart after a few months. Nope! It continues to read all media given to it, all the jacks work, and life is good. Definitely nice to have a place to plug in memory cards of all shapes and sizes into your computer without the hassle of adapters.

Cons: Cheep plastic body, feels like it's going to break before you even install it. Super light weight. Makes you sad that you paid $40 for something you felt came right off of the un-named production line straight from china.

You can't really turn off the SUPER BRIGHT annoying fan controller backlight/backlight knobs. :( I had to put black electrical tape over it, because I am never going to use them in this case.

Other Thoughts: I have *not* tested the fan controllers in this item. I never had the need for them, but it does come with two, each one with a dedicated speed controller and temperature sensor.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as stated, The features are accurate 100%

Cons: The Manual leaves you to your wit for the placement of the thermal detection. There is special tape to stick them where you want. My concern is someone might want to get it as close as they can to the cpu but not have rear access to the mother board and put it in a place that would compromise their chips safety.

Other Thoughts: This was a recent install on my pc. The instruction manual is vague but to the point on the plugs BUT there are no instruction ANYWHERE, (Kingwin's authorized vid, manual, manufactures site), on the thermal wire placement. I put one on a ram, and the other on the back of the mother board behind the cpu. If there are options to settings, I haven't yet found instruction on how to change them. ALSO No driver. Your pc doesn't recognize it which isn't a big deal unless the setting are done from there, in that case Kingwin should have had the info on their site. I got it because my case wasn't USB 3 compatible. Thought i might use the variable controllers for my lights but for a quick install I just hooked it to 2 of the 5 fans. I had card readers on my former build and never used them but liked having the option. In hindsight I would have purchased a different model but that is my fault. This product works as stated and for that it gets 4.5 out of 5 stars taken away because i think the manual could have been better.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: looks pretty. usb3 works well, mic/headphones jack work well.

Cons: oh boy. where to start? i received this thing this morning, hyped, i installed it, just to see if everything works.
the usb3 header works, so that's a pass, headphones and mic jack works as well. good. that's why i bought this thing in the first place. now..i also bought this for the multi card reader. it reads sd cards without any problems, but that's it. cf cards fail to read, mmc cards don't read either. it's a bummer, because i expected to clear some desk room by getting rid of my on desk reader. too bad i guess. Fan controllers? stuck at full rpm, the dials do nothing. the LED screen is lit, but nothing shows up on it. even the e-sata port fails. all in all, it fails at 3 out of 5 things it advertises.

Other Thoughts: 3 star because i mainly needed usb3 and IO jacks, those work. but i'm still mad that i paid so much for an defect.

i don't plan on returning it because shipping fees are too expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to...

Pros: Clean
Fits well in the bay
Cords are labeled for easy connecting
Comes with all that you need to install

Cons: Not super high quality
Plastic, so it feels kind of cheap
One of the USB 3.0 ports slightly askew (very particular observation and has nothing to do with performance)

Other Thoughts: First off, I got this unit for the SD card reader and the audio jacks because the stock jacks on my case stopped working and I got tired of plugging my headset into rear ports every time.
Like the title says, it does what it's supposed to. This is not some fancy gadget that's going to change your life forever. It's nice that it has a couple fan controllers (I plugged my front and rear main fans, both 120mm, into the unit and it works well), but that's really no reason to give it a bad review.
**It's really annoying when people give bad reviews on a product because of some reason that has nothing to do with the actual function/quality of it**
It is strictly a 'multi-function utility device' that's meant to give your rig some extras. So far the thing works really well. I really can't find much other than what I already stated above that's "wrong" with it (mostly cosmetic). And please note, at the time of this review, I've only had it the better part of a month.
All-in-all it delivers what it claims to and wasn't DOA.
Five stars IMO.

4 out of 5 eggsGood product so far, everything seems to work.

Pros: This unit is fully enclosed, so there's no open circuitry to spill things into. There's a wide array of media card slots if you're into photography or storing your media on them. Haven't tried the USB 3.0 capability yet, nor have I tried the eSATA port, but the USB ports do work with my various i-devices. Installation was pretty easy, as it fits in a standard 5" optical drive bay. Cables are pretty long - I was able to install it into an old Antec full tower case and all the cables reached where I needed them. Fan control seems to work well. Please note that the card reader (USB 2.0) and USB 3.0 connectors are 9-pin and 20-pin respectively, designed to connect to the motherboard directly like a front USB connector on a case.

Cons: The power for this unit is fed by a 4-pin Molex connector instead of a SATA power connection, which might require an adapter for some systems. When I mounted mine in my older case, it seems to be recessed about 1/8" into the case. The LEDs showing the fan speed are only in blue and cannot be changed. The temperature probes or their placement is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. This unit only comes in black, no white or silver bezel is available.

Other Thoughts: I was trying to find a unit that allowed me to use the 20-pin USB 3.0 connector on my new motherboard, and this- so far- has fit the bill.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Fan controls and temp monitors work perfectly. Card reader is handling my IBM Microdrive flawlessly as well as an SD card. No issues with USB 3. And it fit in my Thermaltake case without a problem. Clip on left side of case pushed into the 2 screw holes with no problem and putting screws in the other side was a cinch. I like this product

Cons: I wish the slots for my card reader were a bit deeper. Having 2/3 of the C/F and S/D cards sticking out of the slots just looks tacky.

Other Thoughts: I really like it. I've not had any of the issues others here have noted. I was able to hook it up with no issue, fit it in my case with no issue and it is working with no issue.

1 out of 5 eggsMake sure you have a extiguisher ready

Pros: Great concept, I originally had two bays occupied to do both of what this can do. I had a Fan controller and a milti-card reader. I purchased this because my card reader failed and i figured i can kill two birds with one stone.
If you dont use one of the functions, you can remove two screws and get to the insides where you can remove cables you dont use. I didnt need the Sata or USB 3.0, so was able to remove them and not have dead end cables cluttering up my CPU.

Cons: I wired everything up as per the instructions. When i power my CPU up, i saw smoke and noticed a burnt rubber smell. When i secured my CPU i saw the power wire of this unit melted. I unloaded all the connections (USB, Sata, Fans etc...everything but power) and still the unit was getting hot and melting the coating of the power cable.

Other Thoughts: I made the mistake of dressing up everything on the computer prior to plugging in and testing the componet first. As an ET, i should have known better, just had to cut all the zip ties and unwire everything to remove this for RMA. I am getting a replacement because I like the concept of this thing and hope i got a lemon.

*Make sure your MoBo has a USB 3.0 plug in. My MoBo was purchased just as USB 3.0 was starting to be popular and mine only has built in USB 3.0. So I was not able to take advantage of this units USB connectors.
The Temp probs are only external connections. You cannot plug into the MoBo, so it is wrong for the company to label this CPU/System. It really is wherever you decide to tape the prob to.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Windows 7 64 bit auto installed drivers for all of the hub. Everything works flawlessly and the card readers and USBs are really fast. LED screen looks nice and bright and the fan speed control wheels are very responsive. I've found no electrical or functional flaws with this hub and i really enjoy it.

Cons: If you have an easy clip drive bay system where you slide a device in the bay and push a clip forward and lock it, this wont just lock in place as it is too small. The solution is just to take the locking part out of track and slide it back enough to get to the first mount slots. You can now manually screw in both sides into the bay screw holes.

Other Thoughts: Man that's alot of wires XD.
