1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: None that I can think of.

Cons: I can't imagine someone actually designed these with the holes that do not align. They obviously came out printed incorrectly and some cheap company is trying to offload them.

Other Thoughts: StartTech has received many similar bad reviews on this product and yet keeps selling it. One star to them!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: -Edges can be sharp
-Main picture of item incorrect, the metal used in the real product was cheap
-Screw holes did not line up what so ever
-No instructions came with the product, their website did not have any instructions either

Other Thoughts: INSTRUCTIONS: UPRIGHT U, SHORT SIDE TOWARDS THE DRIVE. Honestly should have done my research before buying the product, it was my own fault. You can probably make your own screw holes, that's one thing the manufacturer got right, use cheap material.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works, if you make it.

Cons: Not as pictured, this is darn near false advertising - the metal is flimsy thin stamped junk, it is not thick forged steel as the picture suggests.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: None

Cons: 1) Mounting Screws are missing.
2) Terrible design. No line of site to most of the holes, making it annoying and difficult screw in.
3) Inflexible mounting options. The brackets are short and have insufficient flexibility in where you screw them into the drive. As a result, the drive is sticking way out of the mounting bay and is wedged up to a molex plug on the motherboard, putting pressure and slightly deforming it.

Other Thoughts: I never thought I'd bother to review a drive mount, but this is terrible.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Not much to say, they work.

Cons: A bit awkward to screw in, holes don't line up with the outside ones, making it an angle to screw in.

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: I was able to finish my built but it will be a sore eye on the finish product.
I am giving it 1 egg because it won't allow to submit w/o an overall rating.

Cons: Flimsy adapter to say the least but I as stated before... you get what you pay for.
I literally had to use other screws because the bracket holes did not match to the screws.

Other Thoughts: StarTech.com... here is a website I will not forget soon and will always remember to stay away from.

2 out of 5 eggsCruddy

Pros: meh

Cons: Screws didn't want to thread through this thing very well

Other Thoughts: I managed to get it crammed into a bay, there it will stay even when my case hits the dumpster

3 out of 5 eggsA little too expensive

Pros: It's a bracket, works with most standard installations.

Cons: As others have noted, many of these brackets do not have the mounting holes threaded. Of the 5 sets I opened today (we purchased 15), three out of the 10 pieces were not threaded on at least one hole. Not anodized as the picture illustrates (I know the second image shows the actual product but the main picture should be changed if they are not anodized). They do indeed have sharp edges, be cautious when handling and last but not least, they are outrageously priced.

Other Thoughts: For the ridiculous price of these brackets you would think there would be some kind quality checks in place, sure one mounting hole not threaded shouldn't be a big deal, but one not threaded on 3 out of 10, I can hardly believe it. The price on these brackets should be revised, they are certainly not worth the 7.46 per pair, but I didn't find any others on new egg like this...

1 out of 5 eggsNot suitable for the job.

Pros: The bracket itself fit snuggly into the 5.25 bay.

Cons: As others have mentioned the holes and screws don't match. Unless you want to thread the holes yourself, you won't get much use out of these brackets and won't be able to firmly affix the hard drive in place.

Other Thoughts: They included extra screws, but that didn't help.
