4 out of 5 eggsMade of rubber, easy to install, reduce sound, nuff said

Pros: They reduced the sound on my nosiest fan (120 mm 2000RPM) which is mounted on the door of my computer case. It still isn't silent but those fans are low pressure fans which means torque and torque will yield more noise at high speeds. They work but don't expect miracles.

Cons: They are not flat to the surface so when using on a surface that is on the outside of the case (like all fan mounts?) then part of the black rubber will stick through. You can trim with a knife a bit but don't cut too much or you will ruin it.

Price is a bit high for 4 screw replacements. It is just molded rubber for crying out loud. I might try a home brew next time.

They don't reduce sound to zero ;) The reality is that they are anti-vibration mounts.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great, slightly confusing

Pros: -Work great in a case without fan threading
-Reduce Vibrations

Cons: -Slightly Expensive
-Somewhat Cryptic

Other Thoughts: Just wanted to drop a note here in case anyone else is confused by these. I bought these because I wanted to put a fan in to replace the case fan in my original Antec Sonata, which was dying. These work well to replace the original rubber grommets, but they were confusing at first. As noted above, you need to buy a fan with open sides. You want to insert them through the open side of the fan, rather than trying to pull them through. The fat end just sort of rests in the inside hole of each corner, and the long thin end comes out the outside hole. Then, put the fan up to your case and pull the long ends through the case fan holes with some needle nose pliers. They should snap into place.

Hope that helps someone avoid 15 minutes of confusion.

5 out of 5 eggsA must have for any build

Pros: these little guys make installing case fans a breeze! No more fighting with screws. greatly reduces the noise generated by case fans.

Cons: These will leave exposed nubs visible on the exterior of the case where installed.

Other Thoughts: make sure the fans you are planning to use have "open" corners. The nubs are not long enough to reach through the entire fan. I have 5 fans running in my case with these little buggers, and I can barely hear them!

5 out of 5 eggs1# way to mount a fan

Pros: stretchy, tough, wont tare or rip, EASY to install

Cons: colors would be cool, only comes in black

Other Thoughts: only way I will ever mount a fan in my case, GREAT little invention! this thing stops 100% of fan vibration
