5 out of 5 eggsCan't get much better

Pros: Glows blue; works; controls my fans? I don't have much to say besides it works

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There is not much more to expect from a fan controller besides that it works, which it does

1 out of 5 eggsSunbeam

Pros: Nice looking unit

Cons: It smoked as soon as I started it up. The wires were frayed. The instructions were hard to read and skimpy.

Other Thoughts: Luckily it didn't burn up my new motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasently Suprised

Pros: Nicely built, easy to install, easy to control fans.
I have 3 Delta fans, the AFB1212GHE-CF0 and these things just scream at max rpm. The amperage is what I worry about cause at 2.45A(Max-3.24A) it's hard to find anything to control these things. I have to admit the Sunbeam RHK-EX-BA does the job and with no problems at start up (that's where I usually get problems cause of the amps to start the fans). I've had the Delta's now for about a year and couldn't use them. The other fan controllers just didn't have enough umph to start the fans at start up but with this Sunbeam, I've set them and they start right up. I know about the toggles but I wanted the rheostat cause with the toggles you only have low, off and high but at least with the rheostat you can set them where you want them and forget them.

Cons: Could use a little more length in the cables but not enough to take an egg off.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this for about 3 weeks and had no problems at all, I just hope it stays that way, getting tired of trying to find something to drive these Deltas without having to revert to a toggle controller.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: ----looks fantastic.
---- well built.
---- 6 fan support
---- dimming leds with fan power and ability to turn fans off completely.

Cons: not enough connectors included to support all 6 fans one way or another.
leds can be overpowering but not terrible.

Other Thoughts: would recommend highly
have to removed one egg for not having enough connectors to take full advantage of the fan support without having varying fans or soldering up your own connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat addition to the case.

Pros: I love this thing.

- Super easy install
- Very precise control for fans
- Can plug in 6 fans (more if you want to do multiple fans per channel, I do)
- Blue fits well with my case
- Finally gives a use to my extra 5.25" bays

Cons: None thus far.

Other Thoughts: I live pretty far south in the US so naturally it's always Hades hot in the summer. I have to keep good ventilation in my case because on most days the ambient temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27C) so my rig starts off hotter than some others.

The blue lights on this aren't that bad, they're a little bright but I really don't find them to be that obnoxious. Those that do should use black nail polish to paint either the tips or sides of the knobs, that should help a lot.

4 out of 5 eggsGet this one

Pros: Heavy duty wattage rating. Rheostats won't fry and die. Fine-tuned analog control. Six separate channels.

Cons: Kind of ugly. Lighted knobs are excessively bright. I would have appreciated more harness connectors to have been bundled with it.

Other Thoughts: I have owned two of these over the years as well as a number of other fan controllers. I came back to this one. The best overall. Very functional. I prefer the analog adjustment technology of this controller over the digital ones because it allows you infinite control of fan speed and the ability to even throttle them all the way off. The digital ones typically only give you three to five step speeds and only allow you to throttle down to about 40% of max fan speed. Powerful fans running at 40% can still be too loud.

2 out of 5 eggsmeh

Pros: 0-100% power control, comes with a nice amount of cables in a good variety. nice LED's, only one 5.25 space.

Cons: LED'd can be to bright, i need to turn them off when i go to sleep in my room or turn the case so I cant see them. one of the dials broke and doesn't work anymore and two more are finicky, when i turn the knob they cut out every now and then. it fits kinda loosely in the space i have it. my case is a Haf 912 from cooler master. wont buy again

Other Thoughts: the back of it is exposed so if you have your case somewhere were people can maybe lean or push on it or something similar if the sides touch the case it will short out and if you have a nice rig it will trigger a safety and power down the rig.

5 out of 5 eggsfan controller

Pros: looks good, works as expected, and controls 6 fans.
It handles 4 BIG Delta's with ease. (192 cfm's Each)

Cons: the led lights behind each knob are controlled by how high or low you turn each fan knob.

The higher your turn the fan up the brighter the led on that knob gets.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We hope you'll enjoy this unit for many years to come.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a fan controller that lets you control your fans.

Pros: It lets you control your fans.
It looks nice while doing so.
It comes with a nice amount of cables.

Cons: It didn't set itself up, make breakfast, or come with a free GTX Titan.

Other Thoughts: Having blue-lit dials, it looks nice with the XION XON-560_BK case. Also, the dials are removable.

You may get the impression from the pictures that this product is not built well. I do not think there are really any glaring quality issues with the build quality, the unit seems sturdy enough.

The cable selection is nice. As pictured, they have two standard 4-pin "IDE" Molex fan cables, two standard 3-pin fan connector cables with tachometer pass-through, and, finally, two of the same thing without tachometer pass-through. You are also able to hook fans directly to the controller, but you're unlikely to want this at all unless you have a fan with a truly long cable.

Additionally, as pictured, the cables for 3-pin fans has a plastic edge around them. If you wish to use a 4-pin PWM fan on this controller (essentially using it as a standard 3-pin fan), you'll have to cut the offending plastic first. You could plug it directly into the controller as well, if you have the slack, but be careful that you align the pins right.

The LEDs are very bright, know this before you buy. If this doesn't worry you, you should definitely buy it. Happy fan controlling!

5 out of 5 eggsLED's are VERY bright. Fan control from 0-100%

Pros: When i read the other reviews i didn't think that the dial LED's would be that bright, but they are. I recently took all my blue fans out and replaced them with newer fans. Even when the dials are turned at 50% they are super bright. A look at the dials shows that there are 2 blue LED's angled into the dial assembly. I am not sure if i want to paint the dials or cut the LED's. I want the dials to light up but the light goes through them and is almost amplified outwards which is why they are annoying. No problems, i didn't use and of the adapters, ahead of time i bought 10 extenders so i didn't need the extenders and all the fans were 3 pin that i bought. This fan controller can go from 0%-100%. I wanted a fan controller that can turn the fans off so that's why i bought this one.

Cons: LED's too bright and refract the light weird.

Other Thoughts: This fan controller can turn the fans off, goes from 0%-100%. That was the seller for me.
