Great
- Pros: Up to 6 fans, is blue make the comuter a lot less noisy.
- Cons: None
LED's are Crazy Bright
- Pros: 30 watts per channel. Very robust rheobus, can handle 2 fans per channel, although to be safe I only used 1 per channel.
- Cons: Only 1 con: the blue LED's are crazy bright when turned up to full. They easily light up a dark room, and are painful if you stare directly at them. Sunbeam should have use low intensity LED's. For the hardcore DIY modder out there: It may be possible to mod this unit to make the LED's less bright, as there appears to be space to solder in additional resistors, but that job would be a royal PITA given the tiny space you have to work in between the knobs and the capacitors.
- Other Thoughts: I replaced the stock blue LED's with less intense red LED's, but it is a kind of a tough job, as you have to de-solder, remove, re-insert and re-solder 24 LED leads. It took much longer than it is worth IMHO. You might be able to simply bend the stock blue LED's so that they are facing upwards, which may dim them enough to be tolerable, I don't know though, because I didn't try it.
Great Fan Controller
- Pros: Easy to install, LED's are not too bright and no too dim, there just right. You can hookup multiple fans to one channel with the high wattage. Still have it, using it, and love it.
