5 out of 5 eggsAwesome filter that doesn't restrict much airflow

Pros: I attached this fan filter to the outside of the rear case fan (only have 1 fan and is intake in my mini-itx case) by screwing the plastic frame to the case and fan as you would normally screw on a fan. I don't even have to open my case to clean the fan filter, just pop off, clean and reattach.

Cons: The lack of screws would be the only con I can think of for those who would like to attach the filter to the fan itself.

Other Thoughts: This fan filter is extremely affordable and does not restrict much airflow. The idea of being detachable is genius! No need to unscrew from the fan just to clean it.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I just put these in my case, and they seem to be keeping dust out.

Cons: They don't come with any screws, or even screw holes that fit with standard fan screws. The hole that comes on one side if the cover is counter sunk in so that the screw head holds it on, but that is when you remove the back half. That side doesn't even have holes for a screw at all.

2 out of 5 eggsDo not like

Pros: Its actually has a filter you can use. though it appears to kinda cut down on the cfm airflow.

Cons: no screws, no instructions, a weird setup where you have no idea how this might actually go on with all parts. you have to remove one of the grates and pretty much toss it to the side and try and use either the filter itself only or the plastic grate which you have to screw through it and the filter for it to take hold.

3 out of 5 eggsUh...Kinda Pointless

Pros: The filter itself and the plastic cover seem to be well constructed and sized appropriately for a 120mm fan slot.

Cons: They didn't ship this with any screws and there is no wasy to affix the whole thing to the case.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why it didn't includ screws.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes it's job, cheap insurance

Pros: Filters most of the garbage that would otherwise overtake my case's insides. Easy to disassemble and clean, and is pretty sturdy. stays on very securely with large head fan screws. A must for high speed fans.

Cons: Cut fan airflow by half probably, but it's to be expected. Will probably render low CFM fans useless. Buying at a local computer store yields you two fan filters in a pack instead of one. The screw holes are too big, so be careful not to over tighten the screws or they will poke through.

Other Thoughts: Try to find fan screws with large heads, and if possible buy locally (you get a pack of two). My system desperately needed these; I was having to take my case apart every week to get all the dust out (my fans almost died from all the garbage they were pulling on).

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: It's a nice little filter. The way it works is you screw the filter bracket to the uncovered side of your fan, then place the filter in it and snap the case to the mounted filter bracket. Works nicely and makes cleaning easy!

Cons: Well, first of all, it was just the bracket and filter... no screws. Fortunately the fan I bought came with its own screws, but if I needed those to mount it into the case, I would be outta luck.

Also, because you screw the filter on, it elongates the depth of the fan. My case uses a bracket/clip system to hold the fan to the side plate. The fan I use is already too long anyway, so it's fine, but if your case is built only to accept fans of a certain depth, this may be a problem.

Other Thoughts: The filter seems a little...weak. I dunno, you don't want a filter that's so tight it impedes air, but I wonder how much good it's actually doing. I suppose after a while when I finally have to clean it, I'll see just how much dust it's caught.

4 out of 5 eggsNothing Fancy, Very Practical

Pros: - Filter isn't cheap foam
- Thicker plastic than other, less expensive priced filters
- Faceplate can snap on and off easily for cleaning
- Maintains good airflow

Cons: I have a Cooler Master HAF-932 with-7 120mm fan configuration (4 on side, 3 on top).
- The fans on the side intake are so close together that the filters wouldn't fit properly. I had to screw the filters on underneath the mounting plate, inbetween the case and the plate itself in order for them to work. This negates the reason I bought these filters. I wanted these filters so I wouldn't have to remove them by unscrewing them in order to get them clean.

- May have paid a little too much
- Screw holes are a hair too big, but manageable (not a problem if screws are flush with the case. Not so for my case.)

Other Thoughts: I bought these ones instead of the cheaper ones mainly for the better quality filter itself. The filter is a more durable poly-styrofoam material that I don't feel like is going to rip if I sneeze in its general direction. More money yes, but will definitely last longer than a cheaper version, potentially getting your moneys worth in the long run.

- Consider fan arrangements and spacing if you have multiple fans like I do.
