Nexus MTK-6000 Anti-Vibration Mounting Kit

Pros: ?? Useful if you can't get zipties anywhere else?

Cons: Rubber fan mounts won't fit if you use dust filters with your fans.

Pros: this kit made a HUGE difference in my case! i never knew how much rattling there was from my fans till after i installed these mounts

Cons: as stated before the open-chassis mounts are a bit difficult to install by hand, but easy with pliers.

Other Thoughts: these are the best rubber fan mounts i have ever used, the Noctua ones are far better quality, but for the price and quantity i feel its a great buy.

Pros: Rubber mounts help reduce fan noise.

Newegg is great.

Cons: They shorted me. Not all the rubber mounts were there. I needed 12 of the short ones for three more 240 cfm Delta fans so I bought the kit. I only got 11 of the short mounts.

I wrote Nexus an email them asking for the 12th one as Newegg directed me to but they never wrote me back. The email explained that I was not the first Newegg customer to get shorted. It seems like they need to learn how to count and run a business.

Other Thoughts: BUYER BEWARE: You do not always get what you pay for.

Fan mounts were not hard as the previous reviewer complained of. It was tough to get the open-chassis mounts in place as they seemed to be a bit oversized, but a pair of needle nosed pliers with some duct tape wrapped on the jaws helped.

Cons: Not enough fan mounts in 1 kind or the other. 12 each of closed and open mounts; I could have used 16 open mounts.

Closed mounts can be a hit fragile; because the ends are so skinny if you're pulling them hard to try to seat them it's not hard to rip them. Tore one, but had plenty to spare for the 1 fan I was mounting with them.

Other Thoughts: Can we get an anti-vibration fan mounting kit? Just zip-ties and about 2-dozen of each type of fan mount.

Pros: Cheaper than ordering items separately (you get what you pay for though)

Cons: The items inside are extremely low quality compared to the ones you get if you buy them separately. The open chassis fan mounts in this pack are hard and look really bad. The closed chassis fan mounts are also hard and broke when I tried installing them, although they're slightly better than the mounts that came with my Thermalright X-Silent 140.

Other Thoughts: The open fan mounts I ordered separately (4 for 6 dollars!) are amazing and I wish I had more of them, but after this rip-off of a kit I'm really reluctant to buy anything else from Nexus ever again.
