4 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Used this to turn down the fans in a computer that had not heat sensing fan control. The fans ran at 100% all the time and it was not necessary. It was easy to install and use, works great and does a good job controlling fan speed.

Cons: The plate is a little on the thick side so some cases maybe harder to install with.

3 out of 5 eggsFailed Twice

Pros: 1. Worked as promised before it failed
2. Support for three fans
3. Cheep

Cons: 1. Burning smell then no power to fans
2. Lasted less than thirty days

Other Thoughts: A useful and cheep accessory to control fan speed but it does not take heat well. Burnt out twice.

3 out of 5 eggsDead

Pros: Orange/White/Black colors match my case's color scheme perfectly. Small and compact. Look great.

Fan control knob is smooth and works as intended.

Cons: After two years it no longer supplies enough power to operate more than one Scythe SY1225SL12SH case fan. If I have two fans plugged in they don't get enough juice to start spinning, and one fan only spins at about half of its normal RPM.

Other Thoughts: 3 eggs because it was a great product for the two years that it worked.

1 out of 5 eggsBroke after a week.

Pros: It fits in a card slot nicely.
It could control 3 fans at once.

Cons: The controller burned out in a week.

Other Thoughts: The part got fried after less then a week of use. When hooked up to 3 fans I guess it passed too much power. There was no max power warning. There should have been no 3 fan splitter if the controller can't handle it.

The part is too cheap to make a return worth it. I should have paid more attention to the other reviews. Very dissatisfied.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works for me, no issues thus far.

Cons: No off setting. I figured going all the way to the "Lo" side would turn the fan off, but it doesn't.

It didn't advertise that it had an off setting, so I can't dock an egg.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this to control a case fan that I'm currently using as a desk fan. It is having no problem controlling a 120mm fan (DC 12V x 0.60A).

3 out of 5 eggsController May/May not Work

Pros: It's designed to control two fans and it does that. It fits into an open slot giving access from the outside rear of the chassis.

Cons: First one failed within a week. Newegg Customer Service is great and sent a new one with a problem. The second one lasted a little over one year and has now failed. The failure appears to be a weak voltage regulator chip. Mine just broke free from the board and the pins broke without any mechanical stress being applied. It just stopped working one day. Believe this to be a thermal or thermal cycling problem.

Other Thoughts: Your results may vary. Mine was used in a ITX-case, home server application.

Pros: None

Cons: Installed and wouldn't work. Tested power, switch, and ground connections all ok. Just a poorly made product.

1 out of 5 eggsBurnt Out

Pros: Product fills a need

Cons: I bought two of these with the idea that one would eventually go bad and need replacing. It did and now they both are after only a few months. Cheap parts.

Other Thoughts: I ran three 120mm fans off of it. I'm now trying a differen't option.
