5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works for me, no issues thus far.

Cons: No off setting. I figured going all the way to the "Lo" side would turn the fan off, but it doesn't.

It didn't advertise that it had an off setting, so I can't dock an egg.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this to control a case fan that I'm currently using as a desk fan. It is having no problem controlling a 120mm fan (DC 12V x 0.60A).

3 out of 5 eggsController May/May not Work

Pros: It's designed to control two fans and it does that. It fits into an open slot giving access from the outside rear of the chassis.

Cons: First one failed within a week. Newegg Customer Service is great and sent a new one with a problem. The second one lasted a little over one year and has now failed. The failure appears to be a weak voltage regulator chip. Mine just broke free from the board and the pins broke without any mechanical stress being applied. It just stopped working one day. Believe this to be a thermal or thermal cycling problem.

Other Thoughts: Your results may vary. Mine was used in a ITX-case, home server application.

Pros: None

Cons: Installed and wouldn't work. Tested power, switch, and ground connections all ok. Just a poorly made product.

1 out of 5 eggsBurnt Out

Pros: Product fills a need

Cons: I bought two of these with the idea that one would eventually go bad and need replacing. It did and now they both are after only a few months. Cheap parts.

Other Thoughts: I ran three 120mm fans off of it. I'm now trying a differen't option.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: can control multiple fans at once
adjust low or hi speed for low noise or better cooling respectively

Cons: no

Other Thoughts: I use it always on lowest which gives me minimum sound.
The key is to have many fans, the ability to set them at low RPM for minimum noise and the fan placement needs to be complementary (the air must flow in 1 direction).

4 out of 5 eggs2nd mono cool

Pros: Works as advertised, quiets more than 1 fan. Good buy for the price.

Cons: I didnt take off an egg because I knew to watch the flimsly hook up on it. Took an egg off because they did not fix it.

Other Thoughts: 2nd one Ive got. I have one in my computer and one in my wifes. I gave it 4 stars in my review of last year because I did not know about the flimsy hook up.The last one I bought ( this review) I had no problem with but they should have addressed the problem. -1 egg.

1 out of 5 eggsSimply garbage

Pros: Comes in a box
Worked for about 12 hours
Doesn't take up much space in my trash can

Cons: Worked for a total of about 12 hours then just died during operation.
Glue holding the power connector to the circuit board is junk and almost broke off when plugging it in (other have stated this as well).
Serves no purpose if it doesn't work. Total waste of money.

Other Thoughts: Buy quieter fans and don't waste time with garbage products like this one. I had to give it one egg. That's because it worked upon arrival and came in a box. Now they can pick it up at the curb...

1 out of 5 eggsCheap price -Cheap product

Pros: Has a 2 pin power connector
Has a 3 pin fan connector
Fits into slot as advertised.

Cons: Cheap glue broke away from material upon "gently" conncecting the power connector.(Looks like a problem based on the others reviews).Reostat knob did absolutely nothing! Fan spins about 1/2 what it should, it looks like a fan being blown by outside wind, and adjusting the knob to higher does zilch.
Obviously I got one defective. I'm sure NewEgg would replace it because they are OUTSTANDING at RMA service, but the cost of shipping a 12 dollar item to and from again is not worth it. The manufacturer needs some major quality control.

4 out of 5 eggsCurse of the glue!

Pros: It does just what it says, doesn't take up much room.

Cons: Yep, the 2 pin jumper snapped loose when I tried to plug the cable into it- luckily it was soldered down well enough that I was able to bend the pins back into place without issue.

Other Thoughts: Used this on my 120mm front-intake fan which was LOUD, even moreso when the front door of my case would close (and the fan spun fast enough it would suck the door closed. Since the BIOS on my mobo wasn't able to change the fan speed (of -any- fan)

I would have liked an option to allow the +1 pin to go back into the board so I can see exactly how fast the fans are spinning..
