5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan controller!

Pros: Came as ordered, works as supposed to. I got it for the amount of switches it had and obviously the Aesthetic. Not cheaply made and has lasted through multiple case upgrades.

I use a fan splitter cable to plug in 7 fans total. 3x 140mm & 4x 120mm Thermaltake Riing series.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It has worn a bit with use over time. I would expect that with a physical switch however.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely superb

Pros: Custom fan management for up to 5 fans. Good color indication for switch placement. The excellent tactile feel of flipping switches between on-low, off and high. Good extension cables for your fan routing.

Cons: Only 5 fans. I've got 7 in my case and it seems like a small waste to get two but I'm seriously thinking about it.

Other Thoughts: The build quality and look is superb in my case. It might not work in all cases, but for a black case it is great.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: seems to be a quality build. has 5 extenstion cables for the fans just in case your fan is far away, they're over a foot long. Its a physical switch, not like the touch screen ones which are usually garbage and confusing. Its an extremely simple off/low/high switch. Best part, this controller is able to turn off fans. Most controllers cant do that. The lowest most go to is about 40%. Every computer needs this. Every.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Quality Quality

Pros: I still have not install this component into my case yet (case comes in 3 days) but dang is this fan controller nice! The packaging has a great premium feel, nice foam padding and all. Comes with black sleeved fan extension cables which is a nice touch to make the install look clean. The fan control itself though is pure quality, the weight, look, feel, switches. Everything about it is awesome. Great product and well worth your $35.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome build quality!

Pros: I had been searching out a simplistic fan controller for a couple months now and after reading some review of this model and doing as much research as I could, this was by far the best for the price. Upon even handling the box, you can tell this thing is heavy duty from the weight alone. Its well packed by Lamptron with soft foam, even though this thing could probably take quite a few hits and not even show a scratch. The entire unit (minus the board of course) is solid metal. The front bezel is brushed metal (thought I don't think its aluminum) to match aluminum cases. The switches are very solid and give a distinct "Click". Soldering is very neat and heavy etc.. This thing is Military Grade all the way.

Pros:
-Each Channel is a very consistent 60 watts which is about twice the standard channel wattage. So hooking up 2 fans per channel will still give you overhead and is totally ok.
-All Metal Construction
-Metal Switches
-LED Backlit (blue low, red high)
-Sleeved cables

Cons: If I had to get nit-picky, the LEDs are very bright. Too bright for my liking. But I will get used to it given all the pros.

Other Thoughts: For $35 this thing is a bargain! Buy one before they're gone you wont be disappointing.

4 out of 5 eggsWatch those LEDs

Pros: They're not kidding about the construction - this thing is built military grade. Fan speeds are nice like everyone else said.

Cons: If you're building a PC with a color scheme in mind (red and black for me, in a HAF XB EVO) these LEDS have nothing for everybody. They're red at full speed, blue at low speed, off is off. They're rather bright and if you're going with a combo of high speed and low speeds on separate fans, you're going to have this mash of bright red and blue florescent lights across your drive bay.

It is possible to disconnect one or the other so the switches will light one or neither, but having to operate on those unlabeled connections that control them, potentially disabling the wrong LED, is a bit of a pain.

Also some of the wire connections on the included extension cables were a noticeably loose. They're usable but it will take some care.

Other Thoughts: Works as intended superbly but can be ugly if you're concerned about the LED feature.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Analog fan controller

Pros: -Has plenty of connectors

-The variable speed switching is nice (Blue is low, Red is high):
I notice decent temperature change from High to Low while gaming and Idle. But even on low, when not gaming I stay at 25c

-Easy installation, looks good

Cons: -The 4pin connector is a little flimsy socket wise, the prongs are super loose.

Other Thoughts: Would like to know if this is comparable with a Liquid cooling pump, such as the Corsair H60 setup.

I think it would be neat to variable the liquid cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Mounts easily. Switches are nice. Supports 5 fans. Uses 3-pin connectors. Comes with shrouded cables. Blue light color matches my Antec case fan color.

Cons: Exposed electronics. I would pay more for a better build if one were out there. Any suggestions? The PCB is completely exposed and unshielded. It would make sense to mount the controller itself in a CD-ROM style housing and would probably not add much to the retail cost.

I did not use the included 4-pin Molex power extension cable. The pins are not mounted well in their connector and look like they've been burned with a lighter.

The front face plate does not line up flush with the case and thus makes it look cheap.

Other Thoughts: The blue LEDs, silver switches, and black face plate color and texture give the device a professional look and feel which pairs well with my Antec Twelve Hundred case. A few minor tweaks and this bit of kit could easily earn 5 eggs. Would I buy another one? Yes.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Controller

Pros: I bought this when my NZXT Sentry Mesh dropped a channel.
Pros:
-Freakin' sturdy. Upon opening the box and pulling it out, I was blown away. This thing is easily the sturdiest PC part I've ever seen or felt. You could probably bash it from the front a few times with a rock and you might chip some paint, but that's about it.
-Quality switches. The faders on the NZXT always felt cheap. The switches on the Lamptron are like the Terry Crews of switches. POWERRRRRRRRR
-60W - lots of power. I run 10 fans on this thing without any problems. Like Jeremy Clarkson says - POWER!

Cons: -Typically doesn't make me breakfast
-Awkward to install - it's just really heavy for a fan controller. Not nearly enough to even think about taking off an egg.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a no-frills fan controller with a lot of power, this is what you want. You only get two settings, but they seem to be in good "sweet spots".
